Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the global launch of the 32-inch Samsung Spatial Signage (SMHX model), adding a compact format to its glasses-free 3D commercial display lineup. Designed for narrow shelves and counters, it gives brands a flexible way to present product-focused content in full 3D rotation.[1]

“The 32-inch Spatial Signage makes immersive 3D accessible across a much wider range of commercial environments,” said Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Combined with our growing portfolio of displays and solutions, the new model reflects Samsung’s commitment to building a connected commercial display ecosystem that customers can rely on, wherever they operate.”

Smaller Format, Bigger Impact at Shelf Level

The 32-inch model follows the global rollout of the 85-inch Spatial Signage earlier this year. While the 85-inch model is designed for large, high-impact retail installations with life-size product visuals, the 32-inch model brings the same glasses-free 3D experience to shelves, counters and other compact spaces.

Suited for a wide range of environments, including retail, public spaces, entertainment venues, education and hospitality, the smaller format brings immersive 3D content to places where close-up visibility matters most. The 32-inch Spatial Signage helps highlight featured products, promotional content, exhibit information, campus messaging and other high-impact content.

Spatial Signage uses Samsung’s patented 3D Plate technology, which applies binocular parallax to deliver different images to each eye, creating cinematic depth without 3D glasses. It retains full clarity while showing all sides of a product in realistic 360-degree rotation.

Weighing just 8.5 kg with a sleek 49.4 mm slim profile, the 32-inch model features FHD resolution (1,080 x 1,920) in a 9:16 portrait format. Unlike bulky box-type 3D displays, it is lightweight, easy to install and compatible with industry-standard VESA wall mounts for wall or stand placement, much like conventional signage.[2]

Spatial Signage has earned industry recognition, including a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Enterprise Tech category and a Silver award at the Edison Awards. Going forward, Samsung plans to further expand the Spatial Signage lineup with new sizes, including a 55-inch model.

More Control and Creativity With Samsung VXT

Samsung also announced new updates to Samsung VXT, its cloud-based digital signage platform.[3] The update brings new capabilities to Samsung’s full digital signage portfolio,[4] including Spatial Signage. Businesses can use VXT to manage connected screens across multiple locations, schedule and automate content delivery and create signage-ready video content directly within the platform.

To further enhance remote management, Samsung has added scheduling capabilities to screen presets, allowing screen settings such as brightness, volume and on/off timers to be applied across connected displays at a designated time or according to a set schedule, including outside operating hours. VXT also includes Smart Download, which helps minimise network traffic load by enabling content to be downloaded by some screens and shared with other connected screens on the same network.[5]

Released earlier this month, AI Studio app enables users to create signage-ready videos from a single product image and a text prompt, with an option to upscale output to 4K UHD resolution at 60 frames per second. The app also includes an option to optimise content for Spatial Signage to enhance the overall 3D viewing experience.

Samsung VXT has also expanded its content management capabilities with the following features:

Event now includes automated content transitions, adding new event types, like weather conditions. This allows businesses to automatically display content based on real-world weather[6] For example, signage can promote rain gear in wet weather and switch to sun hats in sunny conditions, allowing businesses to manage content more dynamically across different scenarios.

Multiple Takeover enables synchronised content transitions across all linked screens based on a preset schedule and playback cycle, allowing centralized control over large-scale content campaigns.

Streaming Widget enables real-time streaming of live broadcast content directly on connected displays, with support for closed caption settings.

Samsung’s continued focus on advancing both display hardware and platform capabilities has contributed to its position as the world’s No. 1 commercial display provider for 17 consecutive years.[7] For more information, visit www.samsung.com.

[1]Now available in Korea, the 32-inch Spatial Signage will roll out to global markets throughout 2026. Availability of Spatial Signage may vary by size and region.

The typical European home is rich in history, but as society evolves, expectations are changing. Ageing properties, rising energy costs and shifting demographics are exposing how current homes weren’t built for how people live today.

Fox Al Rajim, Samsung’s European Lifestyle Lab Insights Manager, recently explored Samsung’s role in helping existing homes adapt to modern living with the support of artificial intelligence (AI).

Across the continent, one in four adults now live with a disability, which accounts for around 90 million people.[1] With the share of people aged over 65 increasing[2], the importance of home modernisation continues to climb. Many homes are not currently designed with this range of needs in mind, and new housing is in decline. With this context, adaptive technology is more important than ever.

“People live in their homes longer than they did in the past, so these structures now need to work throughout many different stages of life,” Fox says. “We strive to make everyday living easier and more intuitive as our needs change over time.”

Designing homes for real lives

AI is beginning to change how people interact with their homes. Rather than adapting to appliances, users are increasingly able to set the terms themselves. Voice control, personalised settings and automated features are becoming part of everyday use, supporting independence and making tasks easier to manage.

Samsung’s Voice Control and Auto Open Door features, found in refrigerators such as Family Hub[3], reflect this shift, designed with accessibility top of mind from the outset.

Sustainability is another factor shaping European households, with many households particularly as they look to use energy more efficiently and make more eco-conscious choices.

Samsung Lifestyle Lab Europe data shows that 60% of people report experiencing energy stress, while almost half (45%) struggle with heat loss in their homes[4].

“Luckily, new AI enhancements can help consumers optimise energy use and improve efficiency with visible real-time impact”, says Fox.

Samsung’s latest washing machines feature elements like Enhanced AI Wash+, making them up to 65% more energy efficient than the standard European Class A requirement, by sensing the load and adjusting water, detergent and cycle settings accordingly – helping households reduce energy use and manage costs more effectively. [5]

From smart homes to adaptive homes

Time is also shaping how people experience their homes.

Modern life is busy, and domestic responsibilities remain unevenly distributed. Women in Europe still spend significantly more time on household chores than men, while consumers overall devote hours each week to rote tasks like laundry. [6]

Attitudes towards AI are changing as a result.

“Our research found that 63% of people say they feel ready to adopt more AI technology in their homes,[7]” says Fox. “For anyone who is short on time, AI adoption is simply the most practical solution.

“This is giving rise to a new idea: the adaptive home. Unlike traditional smart homes, which rely on pre-set commands, adaptive homes are dynamic. They learn from behaviour, anticipate needs and respond in real time, whether that’s adjusting energy usage, streamlining chores or tailoring interactions to individual users.

“AI’s role is not to replace human decision making, but to complement it,” says Fox. “It acts as a companion within the home, learning, supporting and evolving alongside its occupants.”

This shift is particularly significant in Europe. Large scale renovation is often slow and expensive, but intelligent technologies offer a more immediate route to improvement. By layering digital capabilities onto existing spaces, homes can become more accessible, efficient and responsive without the need for major structural change.

In practice, expectations of the home are changing. Technology is becoming part of how homes keep up with everyday needs, often without requiring major change.

For Samsung, the opportunity lies in turning this vision into reality: creating technologies that are not only smart, but meaningful and designed to improve daily life in ways that are intuitive, inclusive and enduring.

Because ultimately, the future of the home is not just about innovation and smarter technology. It’s about making better living possible, for everyone.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that its “Coral in Focus” initiative, powered by Ocean Mode[1], an advanced camera feature on the newer Galaxy mobile phones, has received multiple awards for its contributions to coral reef conservation, including Gold in the “Best Sustainability or Conservation Initiative” category at Engage for Good’s 2026 Halo Awards.

Additionally, “Coral in Focus,” a documentary tied to the initiative, received the Coastal and Island Culture Award at the 23rd International Ocean Film Festival. Samsung was separately named on Fast Company’s 2026 Most Innovative Companies list for its work advancing mobile innovation in environmental research.

These recognitions reflect the impact of Samsung’s efforts to reverse the decline of coral reefs in partnership with U.S.-based nonprofit organisation Seatrees and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego. By bringing together Galaxy’s advanced image capturing capabilities, Seatrees’ community-driven restoration model and Scripps’ knowledge on marine science, Samsung is transforming Galaxy mobile phones into powerful tools for ocean conservation.

▲ Photo captured with a Galaxy S26 Ultra equipped with Ocean Mode

Coral reefs cover less than 1% of the ocean floor yet support approximately 25% of all marine life and sustain millions of livelihoods worldwide[2]. Without intervention, many reefs are at risk of disappearing by 2050 due to climate change, pollution and overfishing.

To help address this challenge, Samsung collaborated with Seatrees and Scripps to advance coral reef restoration across a growing network of sites in Costa Rica, Fiji, the Galápagos Islands, Indonesia and the United States.

Through the “Samsung x Seatrees: Bring Coral in Focus” initiative, partners and local communities are given Ocean Mode-equipped Galaxy devices and underwater housings to capture high-quality underwater imagery with Ocean Mode, which is then used to generate detailed 3D photogrammetric models. This process improves how coral reefs are monitored and evaluated, resulting in critical insight into reef health and recovery.

Together, Samsung, Seatrees and Scripps have driven meaningful impact across restoration sites. To date, more than 20,000 coral fragments have been planted, and over 80 3D reef models have been built to support monitoring and research efforts.

▲ Side-by-side comparison of coral imagery captured on a Galaxy mobile phone with standard camera settings (left) and Ocean Mode (right), highlighting improved colour correction and reduced motion blur underwater.

Now available through Expert RAW [3], Ocean Mode extends these capabilities to Galaxy users, making advanced underwater imaging[4] available to more people while reducing reliance on expensive, heavy DSLR equipment. This increased accessibility is critical to scaling coral reef monitoring efforts, particularly in regions where resources and technical infrastructure may be limited.

These accolades build on Samsung’s broader commitment to sustainability under its initiative, Our Journey: Galaxy for the Planet. From incorporating recycled materials into Galaxy devices to developing technologies like Ocean Mode with like-minded partners, Samsung continues to explore how innovation can help protect the planet.

[1]As of April 2026, Ocean Mode is supported on Galaxy S26 Series, and is expanding to the S25 Series, S24 Series, Fold 7, Flip 7, Z Tri-Fold, Fold 6 and Flip 6 throughout the first half of 2026.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of “Trips,” a new feature in Samsung Wallet designed to help Samsung Galaxy users organise and manage travel-related experiences in one place. Created for travellers who want a seamless experience and faster access to important details during a journey, Trips brings eligible travel items together in Samsung Wallet to offer key travel information when they need it.

“Travel plans are often scattered across confirmations, apps and messages, and that creates friction at the exact moments people need clarity,” said Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of Digital Wallet Team, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “By bringing Trips to Samsung Wallet, we’re giving Galaxy users a single place to keep their trip details organised and stay one step ahead as their plans unfold.”

The new feature introduces a Trip timeline that brings all travel-related plans together in a single view, adding structure to busy itineraries and providing a smoother journey from start to finish. When users add eligible items to Samsung Wallet, Trips groups them together based on factors such as time and location, helping travellers keep itineraries in one place despite details coming from different sources.

Users can manage a range of travel-related experiences, including bookings such as hotels, flight itineraries, car rentals and excursions — as well as tickets for buses, trains, theme parks and sporting events. Trips also supports the ability to manually add itinerary items and include memos alongside saved items to capture key reminders, plans and notes throughout the journey.

Trips underscores Samsung’s ongoing commitment to evolving Samsung Wallet into a more helpful companion in everyday life. Over time, the company will continue to expand Samsung Wallet by adding new features and partner experiences, making it even easier for Samsung Galaxy users to access and manage the essentials they rely on, including while traveling.

Samsung Wallet provides peace of mind to users through protection from Samsung Knox, Samsung’s industry-leading security platform. Samsung Knox uses protections such as encryption and biometric authentication to help safeguard sensitive information, so only the device owner can access those data.

Samsung Wallet is built as an easy-to-use, secure platform that helps Galaxy users organise everyday essentials — from payment cards to boarding passes — in one mobile application. With a refined interface and seamless access, Samsung Wallet is designed to keep what users need within reach while supporting an open ecosystem through trusted partner integrations that expand user experiences over time.

Availability

Trips will be available in Samsung Wallet starting April 2026 on compatible Samsung Galaxy mobile phones[1] in Korea, the United States and the United Kingdom.

[1] Applicable to all Samsung Galaxy mobile phones that are compatible with Samsung Wallet version 6.4.98 or higher in U.K.

SmartThings, Samsung Electronics’ global smart home platform, has built enhanced integrations with furniture retailer IKEA’s new smart home product line, making it more affordable for everyone to create their own smart home.

Samsung has enabled seamless integration of IKEA’s twenty-five[1] practical Matter-over-Thread smart home devices — including smart bulbs and plugs — into the SmartThings platform, allowing users to effortlessly incorporate them into daily life.

Easy Integration With SmartThings Through Matter-Enabled IKEA Devices

Twenty-five IKEA smart home devices including a scroll wheel remote, smart bulbs, plugs, temperature and humidity sensors, air quality sensors, motion sensors, door sensors and water leak sensors, now support the global smart home standard Matter[2]

Previously, connecting IKEA devices to SmartThings required an IKEA smart home hub[3] and SmartThings hub, but they can now be connected directly to SmartThings hub. They also work with Samsung appliances including TVs, air conditioners and washing machines, as well as a wide range of third-party devices and protocols supported by the platform.

Smarter Care — From Checking on Loved Ones to Optimizing Sleep Environments

Users can connect an IKEA door sensor to SmartThings and attach it to a frequently used door to monitor when their parents start their day and whether they are active at home through SmartThings Family Care. This offers a convenient way to check on loved ones, even when living apart.

Installed on a wall, IKEA’s air quality sensors and temperature and humidity sensors collect data on temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide levels and light intensity. SmartThings compares these readings with recommended ranges for optimal sleep and provides a sleep environment report with actionable insights — such as lowering the temperature to 19-21°C — helping create an ideal bedroom environment.

Users can also set routines that activate the air conditioner’s dehumidification mode when rising humidity is detected. If the water leak sensor detects moisture, it sends an immediate alert enabling a prompt response.

Intuitive Control With the Scroll Wheel Remote

Ahead of launch, Samsung and IKEA conducted multiple rounds of validation to enhance connectivity stability and implemented a dedicated user experience within the SmartThings app for full compatibility.

A standout device is the scroll wheel remote, which significantly enhances user experience. When connected to lighting, users can precisely adjust brightness and color temperature by rotating the wheel, making it easy to create the desired ambiance. It can also be used for devices requiring fine control, such as blinds.[4] It targets the design-conscious younger generation, who prioritises aesthetic value in every detail, down to a single switch or lighting.

Expanding a Boundless Smart Home Ecosystem With Early Adoption of Thread

Samsung is not only leading the Matter ecosystem through the rapid adoption of new standards, but also demonstrating strong technology leadership in the smart home market.

SmartThings was the first to adopt Thread[5] 1.4 — a low-power, short-range networking technology essential for smart home ecosystems — enabling Thread networks across brands to operate as a single unified system that enhances user convenience while helping drive the wider adoption of smart homes.

“By connecting IKEA devices to SmartThings, even first-time smart home users can enjoy a familiar and easy connectivity experience without financial burden,” said Jaeyeon Jung, Executive Vice President of SmartThings, AI Platform Center at Samsung Electronics. “SmartThings will continue to expand its ecosystem through partnerships, enabling more consumers to enjoy seamless and convenient smart home experience within the SmartThings ecosystem regardless of brand or communication protocol.”

[1]Availability and timing may vary by market

[2] Matter is a global smart home connectivity standard developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance to improve interoperability among devices

[3]Hub is a central smart home device that connects multiple smart devices using different wireless protocols and enables unified control through a single platform

[4] As of April 20, 2026, only lighting control is supported. Blind control will be available later this year

[5]Thread is a low-power, mesh networking-based wireless protocol used in the Matter standard that enables smart home devices to communicate with each other quickly and reliably independent of Wi-Fi.

Samsung Art Store introduces 22 works by Tamara de Lempicka, a defining Art Deco artist. Renewed interest in the style — often linked to a broader “Neo-Deco” revival — is bringing her signature aesthetic back into the spotlight for a new generation of design-conscious audiences across interiors and fashion.

Known for bold compositions, sculptural forms and refined elegance, Lempicka’s work captures early 20th-century modernity. With clean lines, striking geometry and polished surfaces, her style continues to influence contemporary art, fashion and design.

The collection includes some of Lempicka’s most celebrated pieces such as the iconic “Autoportrait” (1929), a self-portrait painted in Paris and commissioned by the German fashion magazine Die Dame to celebrate women’s independence. Also featured is “St. Moritz,” a sharply composed portrait showcasing her distinctive, highly stylised approach. A selection of still lifes further highlights the breadth of her practice, demonstrating her versatility across subjects while maintaining a cohesive visual identity.

▲ “St. Moritz” (1929) © Tamara de Lempicka Estate, LLC / ADAGP, Paris, on The Frame Pro.

“At the heart of Tamara de Lempicka’s work is a powerful sense of identity, elegance and modernity,” said Marisa de Lempicka, President of the Tamara de Lempicka Estate. “It is important for us to continue sharing that vision in ways that resonate with contemporary audiences. This collaboration with Samsung Art Store enables her work to enter new spaces.”

With the addition of Lempicka’s work, Samsung Art Store expands its portfolio in step with evolving design trends — offering new ways to personalise living spaces with culturally relevant art. The collaboration also reflects the platform’s commitment to accessibility, bringing diverse artistic voices into everyday environments and broadening engagement with significant pieces.

“Tamara de Lempicka’s work has a timeless quality that feels especially relevant as Art Deco comes back into focus,” said Marta Di Gioia, Curator for Samsung Art Store Europe. “The work retains its boldness and modernity without losing its original edge.”

For nearly a decade, Samsung has shaped the future of art in the home. Introduced in 2017, The Frame — the world’s first Art TV — transformed blank screens into curated canvases. By 2025, the Art TV lineup expanded to include Neo QLED, Micro RGB and Micro LED, with OLED[1] joining in 2026. Samsung Art Store[2] now reaches more TVs than ever, offering a growing catalog across genres and periods and reshaping how people discover and enjoy art.

As part of the global team-up, the Galaxy S26 Ultra shined during its red-carpet moment at the global premiere for The Devil Wears Prada 2 World Premiere.
Circle to Search with Google on Galaxy S26 Ultra is Runway ready

Samsung and Google partnered on a series of creative spots set in The Devil Wears Prada 2 universe to shine a light on how technology – like Circle to Search with Google on S26 Ultra – is the cheat code for staying calm in high-stakes situations.
