Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has today announced the UK launch of its full 2026 TV lineup, spanning premium models such as Micro RGB, OLED and Neo QLED, as well as mainstream Mini LED and UHD TVs. In its 20th year as the world’s No. 1 TV brand[1], Samsung is expanding AI-powered features across more models, bringing smarter picture, sound and personalised viewing experiences to more consumers worldwide.

In this new range, Samsung is expanding Vision AI Companion (VAC) features across its 4K-and-above TV line-up, reflecting its broader strategy to make AI a central part of the TV experience. The expansion brings AI-powered viewing to more categories, screen sizes and consumer needs[2]

“With our 2026 lineup, Samsung is setting a new benchmark for AI TVs worldwide,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Samsung AI TVs will go beyond entertainment to deliver practical benefits to everyday life, helping people find what they want faster, enjoy content more easily, and make the most of their TV time.”

Vision AI Companion Brings Smarter, More Immersive Viewing

Vision AI Companion (VAC) brings together Samsung’s broadest range of AI service platforms, including Bixby, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, to make the TV experience more intelligent and personalised. Designed to work alongside users as an entertainment companion, VAC can extend the role of the TV beyond viewing alone. The AI TV lineup also brings AI-enhanced entertainment features to movies, sports and gaming:

AI Upscaling Pro: uses AI to analyse and enhance low-resolution content in real time, delivering greater detail, depth and contrast, while Color Booster Pro analyses and categorises scenes to provide more vivid, lifelike colour.

AI Football Mode: analyses match scenes in real time to optimise picture and sound for smoother ball movement, vivid colour and more immersive stadium audio.

AI Sound Controller Pro: analyses dialogue, background music and sound effects in real time, letting users adjust elements such as commentary and crowd noise for a more immersive experience.[3]

Micro RGB: Defining the Future of Premium Picture Quality

Micro RGB expands Samsung’s premium TV experience across a wider range of screen sizes, bringing highly precise colour, brightness and immersive AI-powered viewing to more consumers. Available in the R95H and R85H series in sizes from 55 to 115 inches, Micro RGB is built on Samsung’s proprietary Micro RGB Technology, which uses individually controlled red, green and blue micro LEDs to deliver highly precise light control, richer detail and more natural colour. Additionally, Glare Free technology minimises light reflection in bright environments, helping preserve a clear viewing experience across a range of lighting conditions.

Micro RGB also brings Vision AI Companion (VAC) and other AI-optimised features to Samsung’s premium large-screen category, adding more intelligent and personalised viewing experiences. Micro RGB AI Engine Pro fine-tunes colour, motion and depth, so viewers stay immersed in every scene. With Micro RGB Precision Color 100, colour expression appears fuller and more lifelike, with support for 100% colour coverage of BT.2020.

Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro leverage Samsung’s AI technology to further refine picture quality by optimising colour and contrast scene by scene, helping deliver more vibrant visuals across a wide range of brightness levels.

Reinforcing Samsung’s focus on premium viewing comfort, the R95H has also received both the Safety for Eyes and Circadian Rhythm Display (CRD) certifications from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), a leading global testing institute based in Germany.

OLED: Expanding the Lineup for More Viewing Preferences

Samsung’s 2026 OLED TVs include the S99H, S95H, S90H and S85H, offering deep blacks, rich colour, immersive performance and refined design across a wider range of viewing preferences. Glare Free technology, previously available only on the S95F model, now expands to the S99H, S95H and the S90H, helping the display’s true blacks and rich colours stay clear and undisturbed, even in bright rooms.

On the flagship S99H, Samsung adds premium features designed to elevate both entertainment and art. Pantone Validated ArtfulColor helps preserve the authenticity of original artwork with faithful colour and exceptional detail, while Art Store extends Samsung’s art experiences to OLED. The new S99H model’s FloatLayer Design also gives the display a lighter, more refined presence that blends in more naturally with the home.

For gaming and sports, Samsung OLED’s Ultimate Gaming Pack helps keep fast motion crisp and responsive. It brings together Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, support for key VRR platforms such as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, and quick-access gaming tools for smoother, more intuitive play.

Each model delivers the brightness, contrast and smart optimisation expected from a true QLED experience.

Certified by TÜV Rheinland as a Real QLED TV, Samsung Neo QLED uses a blue light backlight and a genuine quantum dot sheet to maintain a stable colour spectrum and consistent picture performance. Real QLED with 100% Color Volume helps keep colour accurate and stable, even at high brightness levels. Quantum Mini LED also enables ultra-precise light control, creating deeper contrast, clearer detail and more consistent brightness scene after scene.

Vision AI Companion (VAC) makes the viewing experience more seamless and context-aware by naturally surfacing helpful information on screen without interrupting content.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced the winners of its sixth annual Solve for Tomorrow competition, which aims to uncover the most promising tech inventions from young people, by asking students aged 11–18 to come up with ideas that help solve real-world problems.

This year’s competition entries showcased the passion young people have for future innovation and their drive to design a better world – exploring how technology can solve the issues they care about the most, while tackling broader societal challenges.

Darcy-Ella, Flo, Indy, and Rosie of team The Plant Enforcers were announced as the winners in the 11 – 14 age category. The team, from Norfolk, England, designed an app for a greener future that encourages young people to explore nature and start their own gardens. It helps users discover and learn about plant species and earn points to care for a virtual pet.

Meanwhile, in the 14 – 16 age category, Nell of team AsthmaSense, hailing from County Limerick, Ireland, was announced in first place. AsthmaSense is an early-warning system that predicts the risk of an asthma attack by monitoring local air quality. The device links to an app and alerts users so they can take action before an attack develops.

The 16 – 18 age category saw Devansh of team The Green Cross take first place. Devansh, from London, England, designed a handheld medical device that scans wound sites to monitor their healing. It supports more accurate remote wound assessment, helping clinicians make better treatment decisions while reducing the need for follow up appointments.

Entries this year ranged from an adaptive operating system that ‘grows’ with young people to help keep them safer online, to drones that sense pollutants to identify illegal dumping sites.

In addition to these winners, Sophie from The PAI Project won the People’s Choice Award. Voted for by nearly 1,000 people on Samsung UK’s social channels, Sophie designed an app that uses satellite imaging and predictive AI to help protect marine habitats and resources from illegal fishing.

Nine finalist teams were shortlisted by a panel of Samsung and industry experts who reviewed submissions from 2,185 eligible applicants across the country. 984 teams took part in a programme of design thinking, market research and a newly introduced physical prototyping workshop. Throughout the process, they also received mentoring, support and guidance from Samsung colleagues to help bring their ideas to life.

The programme follows statistics released that show over 200,000* UK teens identify as founders, representing a seismic shift in how young people approach the world of work today. Young innovators are turning to tech to tackle real-world problems, with 15% of teen entrepreneurs citing this as their primary inspiration.

Yet, 90% of UK teens say they face barriers preventing them from growing or starting their own business, inhibiting their ability to turn their ambition into a force for societal good. The Solve for Tomorrow programme exists to prove that young people from all walks of life can come up with ideas that can make a difference in the world through the use of technology.

Finalist teams were invited to Samsung KX to showcase their ideas and formally pitch to a panel of judges formed of leaders from Samsung and its partners ,Tech She Can, Design Council, D&T Association and Internet Matters. This was followed by the annual Solve for Tomorrow awards ceremony, where the winners were crowned.

Speaking about this year’s Solve for Tomorrow competition, Soohyun Jessie Park, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Samsung Electronics UK, said: “Solve for Tomorrow continues to empower young people to reflect on what truly matters to them, whilst simultaneously channelling their passion into tangible action. We speak to young people every day as part of the programme, and their drive and passion to make the world a better place through technology is awe-inspiring. The standard of entries continues to climb, and we can’t wait to see where our winners go next and the impact their inventions have on society.”

The Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy Mete Coban said: “It was a pleasure to attend the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow awards in London and meet young people with such inspiring ideas. From building a greener future, to making sport more inclusive and helping young people stay safe online, their innovative ideas show the powerful role young people play in shaping a better future for all of us.

“Technology is part of everyday life and a positive driver of change, with a vital role to play in London’s journey to net zero – helping ensure no one is left behind or disproportionately affected by climate change, as we build a fairer, greener city for everyone.”

Devansh, from The Green Cross (16-18s winner), said: “It was a really eye-opening experience – I got to talk to so many people about how I could design something to make their life better. I had no experience in med tech before, but with the people around me I really wanted to solve a problem that mattered. I’ve learned how to present, how to sell an idea, and to put myself out there – things I hadn’t done before. My advice to anyone thinking of entering next year: just go for it. As long as you have a genuine passion for it, you are good enough. It’s a really fulfilling experience, and if it doesn’t work out, it’s okay – it’s a learning process.”

Mr Noonan, Devansh’s teacher, said: “When they get the opportunity to work on problems like the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition have provided them with, all of a sudden they can see the value of their ideas. They can see the types of problems that they’re solving, the benefit that it can bring to society, but they can also see how all of a sudden their creativity and their innovation can be modelled on those heroes that they have.

“So I think that’s the first degree, they can see that pathway to emulating some of their heroes. And then the second thing is just that confidence to know that they can solve problems. They might have the skill set in terms of the technical knowledge or being able to sketch or draw or plan or map out, but to be actually able to put that skill set to use, to have the mindset, the creativity, I think the resilience to be able to solve problems and stick with the process, have been really, really transformative through this.

“For young people today, I think it gives them great confidence to know that they can solve the problems that we face every day in our lives. The world is such a challenging place, and young people sometimes feel helpless, but being able to engage with a competition like Samsung Solve for Tomorrow shows them how they can make a difference.”

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the One UI 9 beta program, launching this week beginning with the Galaxy S26 series. Built on the new Android 17, One UI 9 beta delivers expanded creative tools, customisation options, a more accessible mobile experience and stronger protection against potential security threats.

The full experience of One UI 9 will be introduced with upcoming Galaxy flagship devices later this year, which will include advanced AI features that will make mobile interaction easy and effortless.

What’s New in One UI 9 Beta

One UI 9 beta introduces several updates across key areas of the mobile experience.

Samsung Notes[1] gains creative new tools, including decorative tapes and a wider variety of pen line styles. Meanwhile, the Contacts app now offers direct access to Creative Studio[2] for creating personalised profile cards without the need to switch between apps.

The updated Quick Panel[3] gives users greater control over its layout. Brightness, sound and media player are each independently adjustable, with more size options to suit individual preferences.

Accessibility is significantly improved by an adjustable Mouse Key speed that enables smoother cursor control and a combined TalkBack package that brings together features previously offered separately by Google and Samsung. The new Text Spotlight feature — which displays selected text larger or more clearly in a floating window — has also been added to make reading easier.

One UI 9 also introduces enhanced protection against suspicious apps and potential threats: when new high-risk apps are detected, it now warns users, blocks execution and installation, and recommends deletion through security policy updates[4].

Availability

The One UI 9 beta program will be available to Galaxy S26 series users in select markets, including the U.K. starting this week. Galaxy S26 series users can apply to join the beta program via the Samsung Members app.

[1] Service availability may vary by region/country, OS/One UI version, device model and phone carrier.

[2] Requires Creative Studio app installation. Creative Studio feature requires a network connection and Samsung Account login. Service availability may vary by country, language or device model. The accuracy and reliability of the generated output is not guaranteed. Sticker can only be shared with other Galaxy devices.

[3] Certain settings might be greyed out or will not appear if the feature is turned off.

[4] Samsung’s security policy updates are designed to improve device security through service operation policy changes and may include updates to list of potential high-risk apps according to Samsung’s internal assessment.

As the biggest football event of the year approaches, the way fans experience live sport is transforming. Technology is reshaping the emotion behind every nail-biting match, last-minute winner or controversial penalty decision.

This evolution was on full display in London this week, as Samsung celebrated the upcoming summer of sport and its #WatchItOnASamsung campaign with an exclusive event: In Conversation with Thierry Henry.

Football legend Thierry Henry joined journalist Ben Jacobs for an exclusive discussion exploring the beautiful game, looking beyond the pitch to see how fans truly experience it.

Seeing the Game Differently

The event gathered media, creators and industry voices across Europe, who then had the opportunity to try Samsung’s latest visual display innovations for themselves. Through live demonstrations designed to mirror real matchday conditions, Samsung showed how new technology is redefining how fans experience matchday, whether they are at home, with friends or at their local venue.

To open the event, Henry reflected on his love for football growing up, and how his experiences as a player, coach and analyst shaped his view of this new era of football. For elite players, football is defined by split-second decisions, movement and awareness – moments where everything can change in an instant. When the viewing experience falls short, those details can get lost. For fans, they are what creates tension, drama and connection in every match.

His perspective set the tone for what followed: a closer look at how technology is now able to capture those moments in the highest quality, bringing fans closer to the action than ever before.

Where Every Detail Counts

Samsung’s latest display technologies are designed with this in mind. MicroRGB, shown during the event, takes a new approach by generating colour directly from microscopic red, green and blue LEDs rather than relying on traditional backlighting. The result is more precise contrast and colour, helping preserve detail even during rapid play.

At the event, large-screen displays and glare-free OLED technology recreated real matchday conditions to reflect how people actually watch games – often with ambient light, distractions and multiple viewers.

Attendees saw firsthand how Samsung’s display innovation translates into sharper ball tracking, clearer player movement and a more consistent experience across environments. Ultimately, it’s about preserving the integrity of the game, wherever and however it’s watched.

AI Subs In, Quietly

If picture quality is about preserving key moments, AI is what ensures they are experienced at their best. The next shift lies in how televisions respond in real time to what’s on screen.

Across demonstration zones, Samsung’s AI-powered features worked quietly in the background to show media and creators the real difference in AI-optimised viewing. Tools like AI Football Mode and AI Sound Controller Pro automatically adjusted picture and audio to enhance motion clarity, balancing sound and reducing distractions for a clearer, more engaging way to watch a match.[1]

Features like these, along with the introduction of Vision AI Companion[2], point to a broader evolution. Rather than individual features working alone, Vision AI Companion positions the television as an intelligent system that understands content, environment and user preferences all at once.

This reflects Samsung’s wider direction: moving beyond isolated intelligence into a more holistic approach to AI, where devices work together to anticipate needs and adapt accordingly. The result? A more personalised, intuitive experience where AI acts as your companion. And for the fans, it means a better way to watch high-intensity moments all summer.

From Stadium to Screen – What’s Next

Technology is expanding what’s possible when enjoying the biggest sporting moments. Advances in display technology, sound quality and the integration of AI mean the viewing experience is more tailored and enhanced than ever before.

While the way we watch football continues to evolve, some things remain unchanged, the atmosphere, the people you’re with, and the shared love of the game. That sense of connection was clear during the evening of the event, as guests came together to chat, reflect on the day’s conversations, over drinks and matchday-inspired menu, a reminder of football’s unique ability to bring people together.

Whether through clearer visuals or technology that adapts in real time, the goal is always to seamlessly capture the moments that matter, so the feeling of matchday stays with you long after the final whistle.

[1] Feature availability and performance may vary depending on the content viewed and the apps used.

[2] Information based on current viewing is only available on Samsung TV Plus channels. Provides AI-created content, with accuracy not guaranteed. Voice commands recognise English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, and Korean, but not all accents, dialects, and s are recognized. This feature provides AI-created content, with accuracy not guaranteed—please check results. Requires certain Bluetooth remote (sold separately on some models).

Beyond high resolution, video trends are shifting toward mood and emotional storytelling. Samsung Electronics debuted the Advanced Professional Video (APV) codec on Galaxy S26 Ultra, laying the groundwork for mobile video production while maintaining image quality and minimising loss during editing.

In response, Samsung asked a simple question — can anyone create Hollywood-style videos on a Galaxy mobile phone? The answer is the Cinematic Look-Up Table (Cine LUT) feature on the Galaxy S26 series. While the APV codec provides the foundation for cinema-quality video, Cine LUT brings a distinct colour style to the footage.

Cine LUT makes professional-level colour grading — once reserved for experts — accessible to anyone. Samsung collaborated with internal teams and external specialists to bring the feature to life. The Mobile eXperience (MX) Business led final camera implementation, Samsung Research developed core video processing technologies and U5K Imageworks — a colourist studio behind globally recognised productions — helped shape its visual aesthetic.

Following the introduction of the APV codec, which delivers a visually lossless level of image quality, Samsung Newsroom spoke with three key developers behind Cine LUT — Sugon Baek of the Camera Image Quality R&D Group at the MX Business, Bomi Kim of the Reality Media Lab at Samsung Research and Taesik Eom, CEO of U5K Imageworks — to hear the story of its creation.

Q. What is a LUT? What sets Cine LUT on the Galaxy S26 series apart?

Baek: A LUT is essentially a “map” that transforms one set of colours into a desired look. Unlike conventional filters that simply overlay colour, Cine LUT reinterprets Samsung Log[1] footage to deliver the depth and look of professional filmmaking.

Kim: It’s optimised for Log video. By leveraging its wide gradation,[2] the feature precisely reconstructs colour and brightness to preserve subtle tonal details often lost with conventional filters for richer, more natural depth.

▲ Taesik Eom, CEO of U5K Imageworks

Q. What challenges did you face during development?

Kim: We needed a large data set to validate performance across diverse conditions. Testing in real-world environments — from natural and indoor lighting to day and night — and close collaboration were key to capturing the nuances of colour.

Baek: Maintaining consistent, undistorted colour in different environments was challenging. Through continuous testing, we developed a LUT that balances subjective preference with objective quality.

Q. What was the key consideration in creating looks optimised for mobile phones?

Eom: Ensuring reliable performance in real-world conditions was key. Since lighting, exposure and white balance constantly vary, we focused on creating looks that remain natural in any situation.

Kim: Quality was our top priority. We analysed each frame and validated performance using tools like colour charts, gray balance and vector scopes.

Q. Why were these four styles chosen for the Galaxy S26 series?

Baek: We analysed the visual language of popular film genres and identified four representative styles. From the high-contrast Blockbuster to the fresh Coming-of-age, warm Romance and moody Thriller, each colour palette was designed to give everyday scenes an instant cinematic look.

https://img.global.news.samsung.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/202605070905-5.mp4

▲ Comparison of Log footage in standard settings and with the Coming-of-age LUT and Romance LUT

Q. What led to the development of Cine LUT?

Kim: While Galaxy devices supported Log video for high-quality capture, colour grading remained challenging for users. We aimed to make professional-looking results accessible without advanced editing skills.

Baek: We wanted to create an experience that lets users preview cinematic footage at the moment of capture, then apply a LUT and share the video with a single tap in the Gallery.

▲ (From left) Bomi Kim of the Reality Media Lab at Samsung Research and Sugon Baek of the Camera Image Quality R&D Group, MX Business

Q. How did the collaboration with U5K Imageworks begin? How was Cine LUT developed?

Eom: Our collaboration began two years ago with Rec. 709 LUT advisory work for Samsung Log video, where we refined strong colours into more natural tones — an experience that led to Cine LUT. For this project, we developed multiple versions across three intensity levels — neutral, soft and strong — and tested them in diverse scenes, ultimately selecting four core styles.

Kim: Building on U5K’s colour direction, we validated the concepts against quantitative criteria to ensure consistent performance in different environments, refining them through testing until creative intent and technical quality aligned.

https://img.global.news.samsung.com/uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/202605070905.mp4

▲ Users can preview Cine LUTs when shooting in Log and easily apply them to recorded footage using editing tools.

Q. Which Cine LUT styles do you recommend for different situations?

Eom: There’s no fixed answer — it depends on the situation. Blockbuster suits high-contrast environments like outdoor and urban scenes; Coming-of-age fits soft, trendy settings like cafes or vlogs; Romance adds warmth to character-driven scenes; and Thriller creates a more striking impression.

Q. What stood out to you in user feedback?

Baek: We expected it might be seen as just another video effect, but the response exceeded expectations. Users quickly recognised that combining Log shooting with Cine LUTs expands creative possibilities beyond simple filters. We’re also seeing more users choose styles based on the scene, with high-quality videos widely shared on social media — and even inspiring new ways to create content.

Q. What are your plans for the future?

Baek: We aim to further establish the Galaxy S26 series as a professional-grade camera. We hope to see more content that resonates with both creators and viewers and will continue to set new standards in video creation.

Kim: As the world changes rapidly, our goal is to identify next-generation technologies. Through close collaboration with business divisions, we will work to bring them into products and deliver innovative experiences to users around the world.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that a joint clinical study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital in Korea has successfully validated

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that a joint clinical study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital in Korea has successfully validated the ability to predict vasovagal syncope (VVS) with high accuracy by utilising biosignals obtained from Galaxy Watch6.

Vasovagal syncope occurs when a person’s heart rate and blood pressure drop abruptly due to factors like excessive stress, leading to a temporary loss of consciousness. While the fainting spell itself is typically not life-threatening, sudden falls can cause severe secondary injuries like fractures or concussions, making early prediction critically important for prevention.

“Up to 40% of people experience vasovagal syncope over their lifetime, with one-third experiencing recurrent episodes,” said Professor Junhwan Cho of the Department of Cardiology at Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital. “An early warning could give patients advance time to get into a safe position or call for help, which would dramatically reduce the incidence of secondary injuries.”

The joint research team, led by Professor Cho, conducted evaluations on 132 patients with suspected VVS symptoms during induced fainting tests. Using a Galaxy Watch equipped with a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, the team analysed the watch’s heart rate variability (HRV) data with an AI algorithm. The model successfully predicted impending fainting episodes up to five minutes in advance with 84.6 percent accuracy, at a clinically meaningful sensitivity of 90 percent and a specificity of 64 percent.

“This study is an example of how wearable technology can help shift healthcare from being designed for ‘post-care’ to a model of ‘preventive care,’” said Jongmin Choi, Head of Health R&D Group, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to driving technological innovation that empowers our users to lead healthier everyday lives.”

The research findings were published in Volume 7, Issue 4 of “European Heart Journal – Digital Health,” a leading medical journal, and they represent the world’s first study to successfully demonstrate the potential for a commercial smartwatch to provide early prediction of syncope.

Samsung plans to further advance the health monitoring capabilities of its wearable portfolio and expand collaboration with leading medical institutions. Through these efforts, the company aims to lead the digital health industry and accelerate the implementation of personalised, preventive health solutions.

As a major summer of football approaches fans across the UK are gearing up to support their favourite teams. While many fans will be supporting outside of the stadium, new research from Samsung Electronics reveals that not all match day experiences are created equal.

The survey showed that with many fans watching in local venues, the top priority for match days is TV picture quality (83%), ranking higher than location convenience (80%), atmosphere (79%) and quality of food and drink (64%).

More than eight in ten (86%) of British football fans surveyed said watching a match together makes them feel part of a community. The community aspect is a key factor for sports fans, with almost half (43%) saying that who they watch a match with matters when watching a major tournament.

Quality time or viewing quality?

The desire for community remains strong. Most fans watch major tournaments together whether at home with family (54%), with friends (30%), or at a pub (41%).

Despite this clear desire to share the matchday watch, the quality of the viewing experience is holding many venues and homes back from being the go-to matchday set-up. In fact, more than eight in ten (82%) fans say picture and sound quality directly impacts how much they enjoy a major match.

Almost two-thirds (65%) of football fans have experienced some form of disruption while watching a major match at a venue, including:

Blocked or restricted viewing angles: 29%

Commentary volume unclear or inconsistent: 25%

Glare or sunlight reflection affecting screen visibility: 23%

Sound slightly out of sync with the action: 23%

Screen not bright enough during daytime matches: 18%

Difficulty tracking the ball clearly: 17%

Closing the gap in the match day experience

These issues are influencing where fans choose to watch the big game, prompting some to leave venues early, not return, or leave a venue to find a better TV viewing experience elsewhere.

Two thirds (66%) of football fans said they would visit their local community hub, pub or sports club more often if it improved its viewing experience. Almost three in five (59%) fans surveyed feel proud when their local venue is considered the ‘go-to place’ to watch live sport matches.

As fans look for experiences that combine both atmosphere and quality, it’s clear that most are looking for a match day experience that balances viewing quality with community spirit.

The research comes as Samsung marks 20 consecutive years of being the global No.1 TV brand[1], continuing to deliver immersive match day experiences whether in a local venue or at home.

To celebrate this milestone, Samsung has partnered with football legend, Thierry Henry to support its #WatchItOnASamsung campaign, focused on Samsung’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality matchday viewing experiences this sporting season – whether you are in your local venue or at home. In fact, more than half of fans surveyed (57%) said a Samsung would be their preferred TV to watch a football match on.

Henry will help the brand to showcase its latest TV innovations across its Micro RGB, OLED and Neo QLED range, from glare free technology to AI Football Mode & AI Sound Controller Pro – which allows users to adjust audio, such as muting background crowd noise – in a series of branded films and an exclusive event.

“Football is all about bringing people together whether you’re watching at the stadium, at home or at your local venue. But it’s also a game where split-second moments can change everything, so the quality of how you watch is just as important as the match itself,” Thierry Henry commented.

“Football, like all sports, brings people together to create shared moments and memories for fans across the world. However, as technology evolves, so do expectations and viewing habits. One thing remains true no matter how you watch live games, highlights, or key sporting moments, and that is that you always want the highest quality viewing experience,” shared Dan Harvie, VP of Home Entertainment and Appliances at Samsung UK.

“Our research also underlines the importance of community and how watching live sport together is as important as it ever was. Our latest ‘Raise The Bar’ campaign is all about supporting your local pubs and venues with the latest Samsung TVs and sound devices so the community can benefit from the best equipment possible and everyone can enjoy the exciting summer of sport together.”

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a collaborative campaign with the highly-anticipated film “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” bringing together the worlds

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a collaborative campaign with the highly-anticipated film “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” bringing together the worlds of high fashion and Samsung’s latest AI laundry technology. In the recently released campaign video, the iconic red fabric clothing encounters Samsung’s Bespoke AI Washer, delivering a groundbreaking result that redefines fabric care.

High Fashion Meets Laundry Innovation

The campaign video brings Samsung’s AI laundry innovation into the world of high-fashion. Iconic red fabric clothing, a symbol of uncompromising style, takes centre-stage as it meets the Bespoke AI Washer, showcasing how Samsung’s advanced washing technology delivers exceptional care for even the delicate fabrics.

Samsung’s newest Bespoke AI Washer [1] is equipped with AI Wash+[2], which automatically recognises fabric types for smaller laundry loads and optimises washing performance accordingly. By detecting the characteristics of each load, the Bespoke AI Washer adjusts water level, spin speed and wash cycle duration to deliver optimal cleaning results and ensure that garments receive the precise level of care needed during each wash cycle.

Alongside the digital campaign, Samsung launched a large-scale digital out-of-home (DOOH) activation at Piccadilly Circus in London, one of the world’s most prominent advertising landmarks. The campaign will also extend to DOOH advertising across multiple global regions including Korea, where consumers will be able to experience the campaign through DOOH displays in high-traffic areas of Seoul like the Myeongdong and Gangnam Station.

“This collaboration with ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ is a celebration of the intersection between fashion and technology,” said Sang Jik Lee, EVP and Head of the Sales & Marketing Team for the Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Just as the film sets new standards for style, Samsung’s Bespoke AI Washer sets a new benchmark for intelligent fabric care.”

The 20th Century Studios’ “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is in cinemas now.

About “The Devil Wears Prada 2”
Twenty years after making their iconic turns as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel – Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in 20th Century Studios’ “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation. The film is directed by David Frankel, written by Aline Brosh McKenna, produced by Wendy Finerman, and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and Aline Brosh McKenna.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” opened in cinemas May 1, 2026.

[1] Availability and functions may vary by model, region, and country. (Applicable model in Europe: WF90H09C4***)

[2] Fabric sensing uses an AI algorithm to sense 5 fabric types (Cotton, Delicates, Towels. Denim, Outdoor) for loads up to 3kg. A turbidity sensor operates for all weights. Mixed fabrics may reduce detection accuracy. Actual results may vary depending on individual use. To prevent wear, wash like fabrics together.
