The award is particularly significant because it validates the core engineering philosophy behind Galaxy Buds4 Pro: delivering sound as it was meant to be heard. The EISA Awards represent one of the most authoritative annual recognitions of audio quality in the global consumer electronics industry. Judged by a collective of expert editors from top technology publications across more than 25 countries, these accolades provide an independent assessment of audio performance and innovation. The recognition reinforces Samsung’s ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of premium wireless audio through advanced hardware, intelligent software, and user-centric design.

EISA’s praise further highlights the Galaxy Buds4 Pro’s balance of audio performance, call quality and everyday usability.

“Employing a two-way speaker with individual amplifiers dedicated to the woofer and tweeter [Samsung’s Galaxy Buds4 Pro] yields clean, musical detail,” commented Ljubisa Miodragovic, President at EISA. “Meanwhile, advanced Sensor Fusion technology combines a dedicated Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) with DNN-powered noise reduction to ensure exceptionally clear calls.”

“At Samsung, our goal has always been to deliver Hi-Fi sound that stays true to the original recording. Receiving the EISA In-Ear Headphones Award validates our commitment to audio engineering excellence and affirms our promise of delivering premium sound quality and user experiences,” said Han-gil Moon, Master and Head of Audio Group, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Users can be confident that Galaxy Buds4 Pro are built to provide the best and most satisfying sound experience. We will continue to build on this foundation to offer even richer listening experiences in the future.”

Galaxy Buds4 Pro delivers Samsung’s most advanced audio experience to date, with standout features including:

• A newly designed wider woofer that increases the effective speaker area by nearly 20% over the previous generation, paired with a dedicated tweeter to deliver clean bass, rich treble, and 24-bit/96 kHz UHQ audio true to the original recording. EISA experts praised Buds4 Pro for yielding “clean musical detail while limiting distortion across the frequency range.”
• Enhanced Adaptive ANC and EQ that analyzes wearing conditions and each user’s unique ear shape, applying optimal noise-cancelling algorithms in real time, so users can enjoy a consistent listening experience all day long.
• Super Clear Call enabled by the device’s advanced Sensor Fusion technology, which combines a Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) with Deep Neural Network (DNN)-powered noise reduction to “ensure exceptionally clear calls,” even in noisy environments.
• An ultra-sleek, ergonomic blade design refined through hundreds of millions of global ear data points and over 10,000 simulations, featuring a premium metal finish, engraved pinch controls, and an IP57 rating for water and dust resistance.¹
• Deeper Galaxy ecosystem integration that allows users to initiate AI agents and manage hands-free calls through intuitive Head Gesture controls.

1. IP rated for submersion in up to 3 feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes (charging case is not water resistant). Not advised for beach or pool use. If the earbuds or user’s hands are wet, they must be dried thoroughly prior to handling. Damaged earbuds are not guaranteed to be water resistant. Earbuds only. ︎

“Hearing health is a vital component of our overall well-being, profoundly impacting how we communicate, connect with loved ones and engage with the world,” said Hon Pak, Senior Vice President and Head of the Digital Health Team for the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “With the latest clearance from the FDA, we are expanding access to hearing support and making proactive care effortless by integrating the Hearing Test and Hearing Aid functionality directly into the Galaxy Buds.”

Hearing loss is incredibly common, yet it remains one of the most overlooked health conditions worldwide. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that globally, more than 1.5 billion people experience some degree of hearing loss — a figure projected to reach 2.5 billion people by 2050. Despite this, many people who could benefit from hearing aids do not use them due to high cost, social stigma or limited access to professional care.

Samsung has been committed to advancing hearing support technologies for consumers since 2020. That year, the company introduced a Personal Sound Amplification Product (PSAP) feature on Galaxy Buds+.

The PSAP feature was clinically validated in 2021 as effective support for daily communication for those with hearing loss, building the foundation for the Hearing Aid feature. To develop this new OTC solution, Samsung collaborated closely with the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) and Samsung Medical Center (SMC). The resulting technology is backed by robust clinical validation studies conducted at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, San Jose State University and the University of Memphis.

▲ Example of a Hearing Test result

▲ Hearing Aid settings screen

Samsung’s holistic hearing health experience centers around two major features integrated directly into Galaxy Buds without requiring a separate app.^[3] By navigating to the Galaxy Buds menu in Settings, users can complete a self-administered Hearing Test in just five minutes. Using clinical-grade, pure-tone audiometry, the software tests each ear individually to pinpoint the user’s specific hearing deficits. It then generates an audiogram with accuracy comparable to a professional audiologist’s evaluation. The results categorise the user’s hearing as normal or one of four stages of hearing loss: mild, moderate, severe or profound.

Based on those results, the Hearing Aid feature amplifies the sounds users have difficulty hearing — such as high frequencies, surrounding whispers and distant voices — personalised to each user’s hearing profile. Hearing Aid also supports additional advanced features typically found in premium hearing aids, such as noise elimination and beamforming, which help focus sounds in front of the user and suppress background noise.

Galaxy Buds use NAL-NL2, recognised globally as the clinical standard formula for fitting prescription hearing aid. This advanced approach ensures highly personalised, accurate results tailored to each individual’s hearing profile.

To give users a comprehensive view of their overall wellness, hearing-related insights — including noise exposure levels and Hearing Test results — are accessible directly within the Samsung Health app.
