Notes by The Nation campaign is designed to enable creativity and showcase the many ways we can tell stories — using real-life notes from people of the UK, reflective of personal moments, messages, and stories. Funny, silly, heartfelt to downright bizarre, all written and powered by the reading and creative capabilities of the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

The cross-channel campaign, booked by media agency Starcom, has been activated through OOH, experiential, social, digital, and earned channels, in Samsung’s latest drive to push the boundaries of its audience-first customer marketing campaigns.

From The Piccadilly Lights to a one-of-a-kind immersive pop-up experience located at Waterloo Station from 22 March to 4 April.

The pop up ‘The Creative Station’ powered by the Galaxy Tab S9’ is a free interactive space allowing commuters to explore their creative side. Through a series of workshops and activities, commuters will be encouraged to get hands-on with the products to read, write, draw, and share as they wait for their train. Supported by a roster of talent and partnerships, opened by Presenter, Podcaster, and Author Nick Grimshaw, who launched the campaign to consumers.

In partnership with renowned street artist Andy Leek (also known as Notes to Strangers), visitors can craft personalised ‘notes to strangers’ – messages of encouragement, wisdom or humour, echoing Andy’s uplifting artwork that brightens London’s streets with a moment of positivity.

And, working alongside Metro, visitors can share their Rush Hour Crush live directly from the Galaxy Tab S9 Series, displayed in real-time on digital displays within the pop-up. Passers-by can also connect and share their favourite stories with a digital book club workshop.

LONDON, UK – 26th March 2024 – To celebrate the nation’s reading revolution, Samsung has partnered with author and broadcaster, Nick Grimshaw, to open a new pop-up experience ‘The Creative Station’ powered by the Galaxy Tab S9 Series, the ultimate reading and storytelling companion. The immersive space is set to inspire the nation to read, create, and share.

The launch coincides with research revealing 86% of the nation say that reading can have a positive impact on their life. Whilst over half (57%) of Brits use reading as a key source of inspiration, and a quarter (26%) have made a significant life change after a good read.

Open for two weeks, this one-of-a-kind experience will allow commuters to explore their creative side through a series of interactive workshops and activities, such as the Book Tab Club hosted by YouTube star Freya Nightingale, set to motivate people as they wait for their train.

Passers by will be able to tuck into a host of recommended reads, and feel inspired to create their own unique note for a friend, in partnership with Londoner and renowned street artist Notes to Strangers. The study from Samsung revealed that more than eight in 10 (82%) of Brits would never travel without having something to read. LONDON, United Kingdom – February 22, 2024 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the availability of Galaxy AI^[i] features on more Galaxy devices through a new One UI 6.1 update engineered to further the democratisation of mobile AI. The update will be available across the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9 series, starting to roll out from end of March. LONDON, UK – August 2023 – Brits do like to be beside the seaside, as the mini-heatwave has a third of the nation planning to head to their nearest promenade for the bank holiday weekend.

And when it comes to the most popular UK seaside destinations, Brighton has topped the list in a recent study commissioned by Samsung to mark the launch of the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

So, to celebrate this, and spread a little bit of joy, the brand surprised Brighton seaside-goers with a souvenir like no other, featuring a special guest…

Jim Moir – formerly known as Vic Reeves – set up the UK’s first digital illustration station, powered by the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

Using the tablet’s intuitive S Pen, which offers a pen-on-paper-like drawing experience, the artist caught the likeness of tourists and local landmarks as they flocked to Brighton to enjoy the sun. In a modern twist on the popular seaside tradition, Jim sketched digital artwork of passers-by using the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra and its creative suite of apps, much to their delight.

John Sees from Kent was among those who made the trip to the seaside resort – with the 52-year-old lucky enough to be sketched by Jim.

He said: “I came on Brighton Pier for a walk and did a double take when I saw him. I thought – that looks like Jim Moir. And it was! I couldn’t believe it. It’s been fabulous to sit with him and get an illustration done. I’ve been a fan of his for years – it really made my day. I’ll certainly be giving the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra a go myself as it looks really intuitive”.

32-year-old Aisha Mitchell from Eastbourne also had their likeness captured by the star and was similarly taken with their portrait.

She said: “I’m really pleased with the illustration – Jim did a great job, it’s so full of his humour”.

Compared to previous generations, the Tab S9 series features a wider variety of recycled materials^[20] in both internal and external components.^[21] It also comes in a redesigned packaging box^[22] and the paper used for the packaging box is 100 percent recycled paper.

Availability

The Galaxy Tab S9 Series is available for pre-order from 26^th July and will be on-sale from 11^th August. All products will be available to purchase via www.samsung.com/uk, and select partners.

Customers who pre-order from www.samsung.com/uk can double their storage. 512GB for the price of 256GB.^[23].

The series comes in two colours, Beige and Graphite,^[24] and three sizes: 14.6-inch on Tab S9 Ultra, 12.4-inch on Tab S9+, and 11-inch on Tab S9^[25].
