While other smartphone codecs prioritise small file sizes, they are not built for high-quality editing. APV makes for easier editing and more creative flexibility.

How to Enable APV on Galaxy S26 Ultra

1. Navigate to Camera > Settings > Video Format > APV
2. Choose preferred APV control APV HDR or APV Log
3. Select the type of file compression APV 422 HQ (high-quality video) or APOV 422 LQ (optimized for storage capacity and limited data rates)
4. Toggle selected shooting mode on or off in Camera preview
5. Users also have the option to record APV directly to external USB storage, navigate to Camera > Settings > Save to External Storage

UWB technology, a standardised communication protocol set by the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC), also strengthens overall security by reducing the risk of unauthorized vehicle access with precise and reliable functionality. Galaxy users can also share their Digital Keys with trusted contacts through Samsung Wallet. This shared access can be updated or revoked at any time, providing flexibility for multi-driver households or temporary use.

As part of Samsung Wallet, Digital Keys are securely stored directly on the device and protected by Samsung Knox[4], Samsung’s industry-leading security platform. Digital Keys meet rigorous EAL6+[5] certification standards, providing robust protection against unauthorised access and ensuring that sensitive key information remains safeguarded within the device.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the expansion of the One UI 8 beta program, setting the foundation for advanced multimodal capabilities to more Galaxy devices across various form factors and more intuitive AI experiences that simplify daily routines for every user.

The beta program will rollout starting next week, and will be available for Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 in India, Korea, the U.K. and the U.S. The programme is planned for roll out to even more devices in the following month including Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5 and Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54 5G. Users can sign up to join the beta program via the Samsung Members app.
