Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today shared its plan to expand support for glasses-free 3D gameplay on the Samsung Odyssey 3D gaming monitor. At GDC Festival of Gaming 2026 in San Francisco, Samsung will spotlight Hell is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn as part of its expanding 3D gaming ecosystem, demonstrating how leading titles are embracing immersive display without the need for special glasses.

“The Odyssey 3D is designed for gamers who want to experience their hobby in a way that feels like they’re completely embedded in the action,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Through partnerships with leading gaming studios, we are committed to creating an ecosystem of top-tier titles, making great games extraordinary.”

Gaming’s Most Acclaimed Titles Become Fully Immersive 3D Experiences− Expanding Partnerships with Leading Developers

Hell is Us, the critically acclaimed action-adventure horror game from Rogue Factor, will arrive on Samsung’s Odyssey 3D ecosystem in March, becoming a part of the first wave of newly added 3D-enabled titles for 2026.

Cronos: The New Dawn, developed by Bloober Team, will join this expanding 3D gaming library by the end of the year. This survival horror game, which has received generally positive reviews from critics, will provide an immersive gaming experience by integrating with the 3D technology.

Both titles will be playable in 3D through the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub, the company’s dedicated 3D content platform, which already supports over 60 titles.

In addition to 3D gaming technology, Samsung offers HDR10+ GAMING, which delivers optimised HDR performance to each game by automatically analysing each scene and frame, thereby enhancing immersion. Since 2022, the company has integrated HDR10+ GAMING into its Odyssey gaming monitors and TVs featuring refresh rates above 120Hz.

Samsung has partnered with top video game studio CD PROJEKT RED as part of its commitment to advancing display technology alongside leading developers.

This collaboration will explore how technology can be advanced to increase the immersion of video games for players, and Samsung is already working with CD PROJEKT RED to integrate HDR10+ GAMING into its hit video game Cyberpunk 2077.

Additionally, Samsung announced the expansion of its HDR10+ GAMING partnership with Pearl Abyss. HDR10+ GAMING will be featured in Pearl Abyss’s upcoming open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert, set to launch in March, ensuring gamers enjoy a premium HDR experience.

The Full Odyssey Experience Comes to GDC 2026

At GDC 2026, Samsung will host hands-on demo sessions for journalists and industry experts to gain an up-close look at its latest Odyssey monitors and an opportunity to play Hell is Us in 3D before the public.

The demo sessions will feature Samsung’s Odyssey gaming monitor lineup:

27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF model): Glasses-free 3D gaming with advanced eye-tracking that delivers natural-looking depth and makes action jump off the screen. This glasses-free 3D gaming monitor will expand the lineup with the launch of a 32-inch model by the end of the year.

32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH model): Stunning 4K QD-OLED at 240Hz with exceptional color and contrast, protected by Samsung OLED Safeguard+ technology.

32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS model): The industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, delivering native 165Hz performance with Dual Mode support up to 330Hz in 3K. This model also offers VESA-certified DisplayPort 2.1 (DP 2.1) connectivity, which supports smooth gaming and efficient video playback.

27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H model): The world’s first 1,040Hz gaming monitor with Dual Mode, delivering esports-level motion clarity and responsiveness.

Odyssey 3D: Glasses-Free Gaming at Its Peak

While previous 3D approaches required either special glasses or sacrificed performance, the Odyssey 3D is a groundbreaking gaming monitor that delivers stunning 3D gameplay without compromise. Using advanced Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology, the monitor requires no glasses. It adjusts the 3D depth of the scene in response to the viewer’s position in real time, ensuring an optimised 3D effect.

Combined with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response time, the Odyssey 3D delivers smooth, responsive gameplay, resulting in a 3D effect that holds even during fast camera movement, gunfights and high-speed traversal — without the eye strain traditionally associated with 3D displays.

The addition of Hell is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn expands Samsung’s 3D gaming library, which currently supports more than 60 titles — including The First Berserker: Khazan, Stellar Blade, Lies of P: Overture, and MONGIL: STAR DIVE. With these additions, the company’s selection of 3D games is on track to reach over 120 titles by the end of 2026.

* 3D effects may vary depending on the game content and PC capabilities.

* 3D capabilities may be limited in multi-monitor environments with more than one Odyssey 3D monitor.

* Game compatibility can be seen in Odyssey 3D Hub, which can be downloaded from Samsung.com or Microsoft Store.

London, UK – 25 January 2022 – Samsung Electronics Europe and iNUI Studio introduce AIRxTOUCH® KIOSK Series 3. This interactive kiosk solution offers the same experience as a standard touch device without the need to physically touch the screen. This solution is designed to allow the user to gesture near the device and therefore offers a clear advantage from a sanitary point of view.

To design this solution, iNUI Studio combined a Samsung 55″ 4K screen – the QM55 – in a metal body with AIR TOUCH® optical sensors and a powerful processor. The Series 3 is made for heavy traffic environments and is available in several colours.

Due to its nature and the uses it allows, the AIRxTOUCH® KIOSK Series 3 is particularly suitable for train stations or airports and – more generally – any space welcoming the public.

FIRST CASE IN EUROPE: CFL (LUXEMBOURG)

CFL is the national railway company of Luxembourg. After Luxembourg brought transportation for free all across the country – which is unique in the world – CFL wanted to go further and has deployed several AIRxTOUCH® KIOSK Series 3 in two of Luxembourg’s train stations for this pilot phase. Driven by innovation, CFL wanted to bring a useful and exciting experience to their users in the need of real time information. Thanks to the custom software, users get traveller information in real time, are able to plan their journey, discover the country and more – at a distance of 5 cm of the screen, keeping them safe!

THE AIR TOUCH® TECHNOLOGY

Based on powerful proprietary image processing algorithms, the patented AIR TOUCH® technology delivers exceptional mid-air interaction (5 cm from the screen) and the most complete User Experience available on the market. Allowing click, double-click, drag & drop, slide, zoom interactions – with a precision of 3 mm – AIR TOUCH® is as easy to use as a conventional touch device.

THE SAMSUNG QMR SERIES

The AIRxTOUCH® KIOSK Series 3 solution integrates a 55″ Samsung QM55R display. The models of the QMR Series offer many advantages for professionals. Thanks to the Dynamic Crystal Colour technology, the image quality is optimal, with a billion shades of colour, contrast ratio, high brightness and anti-reflection treatment that ensure good readability even in high light conditions. Immersion is further enhanced by HDR10+ compatibility and UHD (4K) resolution enabling professionals to bring all their commercial content to life, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Marc Wengler · General Director of CFL

“With these touchless screens, we offer our customers, who are in the center of our strategy, an innovative solution to cover their information needs through a tailor-made user interface that we have co-created directly with them. Especially in the current health context, AIR TOUCH® is a more than adequate way to display the information they need”.

Jon Raines · European Business Development Manager – Transportation at Samsung Electronics

“Samsung were delighted to be chosen for this remarkable project. The pandemic has raised many questions about customer safety and we are committed to working with our partner network to ensure we continue to innovate based on the real world situation.”

Olivier Raulot · Founder and CEO of iNUI Studio

“We are very proud to partner with Samsung for the very first implementation of our technology in Europe. I’m deeply convinced that Touchless will naturally impose itself on the worldwide market. AIR TOUCH® is as easy to use as a traditional device with the advantage of hygiene. By trusting us as well as the AIR TOUCH® technology, CFL demonstrates its innovative DNA”.

LONDON, UK – December 23, 2021 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced today that select 2022 4K and 8K TVs and gaming monitors will support the new HDR10+

LONDON, UK – December 23, 2021 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced today that select 2022 4K and 8K TVs and gaming monitors will support the new HDR10+ GAMING standard, delivering the immersive, ultra-responsive HDR gaming experience to gamers. The new, cutting-edge HDR gameplay will be unveiled at CES 2022 along with a list of 4K and 8K game titles, all powered by NVIDIA GPUs.

“We are extremely proud to announce that the new HDR10+ GAMING standard will be adopted by Samsung’s 2022 Neo QLED line up with the Q70 TV series and above and gaming monitors, allowing users to enjoy a game-changing experience through cutting-edge visuals and richer, life-like images,” said Seokwoo Yong, Executive Vice President and Head of R&D Team, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Samsung will continue to invest in users’ viewing experiences as technology continues to advance and provide enhanced new features and capabilities.”

Advanced HDR Technology Maintains the Artistic Intent of Game Developers

This new standard, developed by HDR10+ Technologies, LLC, gives game developers the tools they need to provide gamers with a compelling and consistent HDR gaming experience without the need for manual calibration across a variety of display technologies for various input sources, including consoles, PCs and more.

Samsung’s 2022 TV and gaming monitor lineup will support the HDR10+ GAMING standard by allowing automated HDR calibration that provides stunning picture quality to meet game developers’ demand. This translates into one of the most responsive and accurate gaming experiences available to date.

By removing the need for manual settings when games are loaded, something previously only possible with movie and television content, the game engine automatically optimises video game content in real-time. This feature ensures details in the dark shadows and preserves the brightest highlights so that gamers can see and react to everything on the screen. It also configures the display to “true reference mode”, providing better color, also without the need for gamers to spend additional time with game settings.

Several gaming companies, including Saber Interactive, are expected to showcase their HDR10+ GAMING titles during the upcoming CES 2022.

“We are very excited to help usher in a new era of video game picture quality. By adopting HDR10+ GAMING, gamers of all ages will enjoy cutting-edge visuals for the best overall gaming experience,” said Todd Hollenshead, Head of Publishing at Saber Interactive. “The HDR10+ GAMING standard is genuinely raising the bar, and we are proud to be at the forefront of bringing it to market with games like Redout 2, the fastest 8K anti-gravity racer ever made, and with Pinball FX, the king of digital pinball, brought to life in a brand-new way.”

Game Mechanic Studios is also showcasing their HDR10+ GAMING title “Happy Trails and the Kidnapped Princess,” which will be available in 2022.

HDR10+ Continues to Expand with Industry Support and Adoption for Premium HDR Experiences

HDR10+ brings superior picture quality by optimising brightness and contrast scene-by-scene or frame-by-frame, with more accurate colour expression.

Introduced four years ago, HDR10+ has built robust support across the industry, with 128 partners and over 4,000 supported devices, including TVs, projectors, smartphones and tablets from more than 28 manufacturers. HDR10+’s metadata also offers flexible reference tone and mapping curve definition for content creators, allowing them to deliver more impactful images exactly as they intended them to be seen.

In addition, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series, RTX 20 Series, and GTX 16 Series GPUs will support the HDR10+ GAMING standard with drivers scheduled for release in 2022.

“NVIDIA GeForce gamers can enjoy a brighter, more vivid and consistent HDR gaming experience on their monitors or TVs from the support of the new HDR10+ GAMING standard,” said Vijay Sharma, Director of Product Management at NVIDIA.

LONDON, UK – July 26, 2021 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a new partnership with CJ ENM, Asia’s leading entertainment and media group behind

LONDON, UK – July 26, 2021 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced a new partnership with CJ ENM, Asia’s leading entertainment and media group behind the Oscar-winning film ‘Parasite’, to build a virtual production studio to spearhead the production of future video content. Combining its cutting-edge Micro LED technology with CJ ENM’s globally recognised content production of television series and films, Samsung is taking the next step in a new initiative to innovate in the rapidly expanding virtual production market.

Through this partnership, Samsung will supply its state-of-the-art display technology, The Wall, to CJ ENM’s virtual studio, a part of its television and film production studio complex scheduled to open in Paju, Korea later this year. The custom virtual production volume studio will be the first in the world to leverage The Wall’s boundless LED technology, unlocking new possibilities for video content production operations and virtual production solutions. The main display will be installed in an oval shape with a diameter of 20 metres and a height of seven metres or more, creating a seemingly endless backdrop to capture content.

“We are excited to collaborate with CJ ENM to build a virtual production studio featuring Samsung’s most cutting-edge display technologies,” said Jong-hee Han, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “With this partnership, Samsung is launching a new virtual production industry initiative with a commitment to deliver innovative products and solutions that offer the optimal environment for next-generation content production.”

This virtual production studio will use LED displays and connected cameras to create virtual settings in real-time. This solution will save time and reduce image compositing and on-location production costs while helping filmmakers to see the camera on the live-action set in any direction.

The Wall’s modular technology allows creators to design environments to their specific requirements, enabling a variety of installation options such as ceiling installation and convex or concave design, depending on the internal studio design.

The 2021 model of The Wall (Model Name: IWA) with MICRO LED technology enhances visual expression with ultra-deep blacks and wide viewing angles, giving filmmakers and content creators the ultimate canvas to fulfill their visions. The modular screens are ideal for studios thanks to their precise color expression, HDR10+ and cinema LED picture quality technology and optimised frame rates for production houses. A new molding process is also applied to the modular surfaces of The Wall to minimise any moiré patterns from forming, a nuisance typically associated with filming standard LED screens.

The Wall’s massive screen measures over 1,000 inches, producing vibrant colors and details supporting up to 16K high-resolution[1] content. Dedicated frame rates for studio production, a new addition to this year’s model, allows producers to run content at frame rates such as 23.976, 29.97 and 59.94Hz, ensuring seamless videos sync with the most widely used camera framerates. Frame Rate Sync technology further reduces screen disruptions for true-to-life accuracy. With thoughtful dust and contamination-resistant LED protective films, plus a variety of easy-to-use solutions, such as remote management and colour adjustment, The Wall is built for convenient management in any environment.

Both companies expect this collaboration to improve content production possibilities while satisfying a variety of customers by reimagining content production for today’s fast-paced entertainment environment.

“Combining CJ ENM’s globally recognised content production of television series and films and Samsung’s cutting-edge Micro LED technology, this partnership will allow CJ ENM to push forward the creation of a new powerhouse of the next-generation content,” said Ho-sung Kang, CJ ENM CEO. “While CJ ENM is investing $4.4 billion over the next five years in entertainment content, we are taking the lead in building a global No. 1 production studio to become a world leading entertainment company.”

One of the reasons that movie theatres have been so popular is due to the immersive screen experiences they provide. This is because the viewing experience as intended by the director – including audio, lighting and picture quality – can be exactly replicated.

Not only do movie theatres provide lifelike pictures and visuals in ultra-high resolution, but they also control the amount of ambient light in the room in order to highlight the scene shown on the screen. Given that these theatres are built specially to provide such conditions, the at-home experience is never quite the same given that it is harder to control the amount of light in a room depending on the time of day.

But what if we were able to replicate the picture quality at home the way a content creator intended it to be seen? How can we bring the movie theatre experience home?

The answer lies within Samsung Electronics’ 2021 Neo QLED TVs, which come with the latest HDR10+ Adaptive standard. Not only do the TVs provide premium viewing experiences, but they are also able to optimise the picture quality regardless of any reflection, luminance and interference brought about by the indoor lighting condition. Samsung Newsroom has pulled the curtains back to find out what HDR10+ Adaptive is and just how it works.

True-to-Life Picture Quality for Impactful Viewing

HDR10+ is the latest advanced High Dynamic Range technology, which Samsung has been incorporating into their UHD and above TVs since 2017 and is also featured in the 2021 Neo QLED TVs. It intelligently adapts your TV to optimally display UHD content the way it was meant to be seen with all the true-to-life highlights and shadow details. HDR10+ uses dynamic tone mapping to enhance the colour and contrast and directs the screen to accurately display high dynamic range content on a scene-by-scene or even on a frame-by-frame basis.

HDR10+ is a royalty-free, open standard, accessible to any device maker to adopt and certify their own compatible devices using HDR10+ metadata syntax. This means that Samsung has been able to build complete control over on-screen picture quality into their TV lineup for true-to-life viewing experiences. HDR10+’s metadata also offers flexible reference tone and mapping curve definition for content creators, such as film producers and engineers, allowing them to deliver more impactful images exactly as they intend them to be seen.

AI Analysis for Optimum Experiences Even in Home Lighting Conditions

Samsung’s 2021 TV lineup also supports HDR10+ Adaptive, a technology that improves the HDR10+ viewing experience in users’ homes regardless of the lighting conditions. Samsung’s 2021 TVs come with the HDR10+ Adaptive standard which supports Filmmaker Mode1 and adapt to brighter rooms so that customers can enjoy true cinematic experiences when viewing HDR10+ movies and television programs in various environments at home.

On the 2021 Neo QLED TVs, HDR10+ Adaptive harnesses its AI engine to analyse the viewing environment, including the lighting, brightness and even reflections using the sensors equipped on the TV. The results are then incorporated into the dynamic metadata, and then through four further steps, the brightness and contrast of a scene are optimised. HDR standards are typically designed with a dark room in mind, similar to that of a movie theatre. However, with HDR10+ Adaptive, viewers are guaranteed to see the original creators’ intent regardless of the lighting condition or the time of the day.

Youngwook Son, an engineer at the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, has been spearheading the development of the feature with his team. “HDR10+ is a premium feature that is geared to optimise the TV’s picture quality by fine-tuning the scene while preserving the original creator’s creative direction. HDR10+ Adaptive takes this one step further by allowing the TV to optimise the picture based on the surrounding lighting conditions, finally allowing TVs to provide a similar viewing experience to those found in dark environments, such as movie theatres.”

HDR10+ Marks Its Two-Year Anniversary with 120 Partners and Over 2,000 HDR10+ Content

The HDR10+ standard was introduced 2 years ago and now has 120 related partners. HDR10+ has robust support across the industry, with several thousand different products from multiple manufacturers offering HDR10+ supported devices. Currently, over 3,100 different TVs and projectors from more than 20 manufacturers support HDR10+. Furthermore, devices including smartphones, tablets and Blu-ray players also support the standard.

Streaming platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Rakuten TV, Megogo, Watcha, Paramount+, YouTube and others have helped make accessible thousands of hours of premium content, delivering a wide array of viewing choices to certified HDMI devices, including the Paramount+ Original Series “The Stand” and Universal’s iconic Back to the Future Trilogy. There are now over 2,000 pieces of content available to users that support the HDR10+.

HDR10+ is the only dynamic HDR technology supported on YouTube, which provides content creators and viewers alike with the unique opportunity to have the access to enhanced, premium HDR content right at their fingertips. With the rise of vertical video production and consumption, the standard gives content creators a unique opportunity to film and view user-generated content across any HDR10+ device.

“There are numerous technologies involved in creating the perfect scenes for the ultimate viewing experience” noted Younghun Choi, EVP and Head of R&D Team, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “HDR10+ Adaptive is one of the core technologies that enable us to enjoy the pristine picture quality that we enjoy watching today. Samsung will continue to invest and upgrade users’ viewing experiences in line with the latest technological advancements and trends in the home entertainment industry.”

1 Filmmaker Mode is a viewing mode, which allows viewers to enjoy movies and TV shows the way the filmmakers intended them to be seen. Various Hollywood directors, including Christopher Nolan and James Cameron, are known to have advocated for the feature in August 2019.

LONDON, UK – June 18th, 2021 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd; Home entertainment has taken on a whole new meaning in recent years. Sports broadcast networks, streaming services and social media have transformed the way people produce and consume all types of sports news and content. This shift has driven demand for the large screen entertainment experiences found on premium TVs and projectors as users seek out high-quality at-home viewing experiences to match the energy of live events or movie theatres.

As sports leagues and experiences start to return to pre-pandemic operation, consumers now have the option to watch their favourite team from home without missing any of the action.

The key to bringing this stadium experience to life at home is with an ultra-large, high quality display, and Samsung’s The Premiere[1] is a lifestyle projector that offers the dramatic picture quality and immersive panoramic sound able to provide the feeling of being right there in the stand yourself.

A 130-inch Ultra-Large Screen Is Your Gateway to the Stadium

The Premiere can create a display far bigger than the average TV. Unlike traditional projectors that require three to four meters of distance from a wall for optimal picture quality, The Premiere LSP9T can deliver a display size of up to 130 inches, even when placed just 23.8cm away from the wall.

The projector does not require a complicated installation process either, as users need to simply plug in The Premiere’s power cable, connect to a wireless network and adjust the screen size – with no need to worry about calculating the ideal distance from the wall or to arrange hanging the projector from the ceiling. It also features a compact design so that users can move and rearrange the projector on their own with ease.

Dynamic 4K Resolution for Full Immersion During the Big Game

Conventional projectors typically offer resoundingly average colour vibrancy and picture quality, so in order to create an entirely new projector experience, Samsung incorporated its industry-leading TV technologies into The Premiere so that users can enjoy dynamic, 4K resolution on a bigger screen.

By using unique and cutting-edge triple laser technology, The Premiere LSP9T delivers rich and vibrant picture quality. This laser-enabled model recreates colours more accurately, produces less heat and offers longer lifespan, all of which provides users with a premium product that offers optimal viewing experiences. Whether you are streaming the latest 4K sports documentary or your favourite live sports event, The Premiere provides immersive, ultra-large screen entertainment experiences at high resolution with pin-sharp clarity.

Stunning Picture Quality, No Matter the Time of Day

The media quality of a projector is affected by ambient lighting more than conventional TV screens, meaning that it is important that a projector is able to produce bright images so that you never miss a single critical moment in the game.

As the world’s first HDR10+ projector, The Premiere LSP9T offers a maximum brightness of 2,800 ANSI lumens[2] – a brightness level equivalent to 2,800 candles. Users can enjoy cinema-level picture quality even in the middle of the day with sunlight shining directly into the room you are watching in, meaning that you can watch your favourite games regardless of the surrounding ambient light conditions. The Premiere also delivers a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, meaning that the projector is able to express all the subtle contrasts and detailing in darker images.

An Immersive, All-in-One Speaker for That Live Stadium Experience

In order to get the real stadium experience at home, powerful sound is key. Hearing fans cheering and the commentators roaring along with the action is all part of the enjoyment of any match.

The Premiere produces three-dimensional, captivating sound without any extra speakers required thanks to the robust sound system built into its compact design. The LSP9T projector is equipped with powerful 4.2 channel 40W built-in speakers that project sound with significant height and width in order to convey every bit of even the most action-packed audio. It also features Samsung’s proprietary Acoustic Beam technology to maximise sound from all angles, emitting sound from 44 holes placed on both sides of the projector so that everyone, regardless of where they are sitting in the room, can be engaged and entertained.

Staying Entertained and Connected With Smart TV Features

Just like Samsung’s leading Smart TVs, The Premiere offers users smart features and access to major sports streaming platforms[3] including Amazon Prime Video and Samsung TV Plus, and music streaming services where popular sports podcasts can be found including Apple Music and Spotify.

The Premiere also supports the ‘Tap View’[4] feature to mirror the content playing on your smartphone to your projector; by simply gently tapping the side of The Premiere with your device, you can easily cast videos from your smartphone straight onto the bigger screen.

[3] Availability of services may vary by region and each OTT service or platform is available after subscription.

London, UK – December 30, 2020 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that the HDR10+ Adaptive feature will be supported in Samsung TVs, which improves the HDR10+ viewing experience in customers’ homes regardless of the lighting conditions. HDR10+ Adaptive supports Filmmaker Mode and adapts to brighter rooms so customers can enjoy a true cinematic experience with HDR10+ movies and television programs in any environment at home. HDR10+ Adaptive will launch globally with Samsung’s upcoming QLED TV products.

While viewing HDR content is typically optimal in a darkened environment, customers’ viewing environments may vary greatly depending on a wide array of factors, including room lighting, time of day, and proximity to windows. The HDR10+ Adaptive feature supports dynamic scene-by-scene optimisation, following guidelines from the HDR10+ LLC, and can now adjust to any room lighting condition, further enhancing the HDR experience. This feature utilises the TV’s light sensor and ensures that the screen brings to life the creative intent without any loss of details or contrast. All Prime Video HDR content is automatically delivered in HDR10+.

HDR10+ Adaptive on Samsung QLED TVs also supports Filmmaker Mode, a display setting that Samsung – as a member of the UHD Alliance – developed in partnership with filmmakers, studios and consumer electronics manufacturers. Samsung and Amazon Prime Video teamed up to enable Filmmaker Mode and HDR10+ Adaptive for Prime Video customers.

“We are always looking for new features and innovations that can help improve the customer experience,” said BA Winston, Global Head of Video Playback and Delivery at Amazon Prime Video. “With HDR10+ and Filmmaker mode, Prime Video content is optimised regardless of the viewing environment and customers can enjoy movies and TV shows the way the filmmakers intended.”

More contents are becoming available in HDR10+ with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) and Samsung extending its technology partnership to include even more HDR10+ catalogues and new titles for distribution on OTT services around the world.

“As consumers spend more time at home, Samsung has been looking for ways to enrich consumers’ entertainment experience in the comfort of their homes,” said Younghun Choi, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We are delighted to offer smart picture quality solutions that will enhance consumers’ at-home HDR viewing experience, bringing original-quality cinematic experience to our consumers around the world.”

“Samsung has demonstrated exceptional commitment in developing HDR10+ technology and bringing the industry together in support,” said Michael Aaronson, Senior Vice President, Digital Distribution, UPHE. “We are pleased to further expand our partnership with Samsung as we work to bring more titles into this advanced in-home viewing ecosystem to movie audiences worldwide.”

UHD titles available on Prime Video also include HDR10+ so all Prime Video customers can enjoy the improved HDR experience with most Samsung QLED TVs regardless of room lighting conditions.
