At GDC Festival of Gaming 2026 in San Francisco, Samsung will spotlight Hell is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn as part of its expanding 3D gaming ecosystem, demonstrating how leading titles are embracing immersive display without the need for special glasses.

Gaming’s Most Acclaimed Titles Become Fully Immersive 3D Experiences− Expanding Partnerships with Leading Developers

Hell is Us, the critically acclaimed action-adventure horror game from Rogue Factor, will arrive on Samsung’s Odyssey 3D ecosystem in March, becoming a part of the first wave of newly added 3D-enabled titles for 2026.

Cronos: The New Dawn, developed by Bloober Team, will join this expanding 3D gaming library by the end of the year. This survival horror game, which has received generally positive reviews from critics, will provide an immersive gaming experience by integrating with the 3D technology.

Both titles will be playable in 3D through the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub, the company’s dedicated 3D content platform, which already supports over 60 titles.

In addition to 3D gaming technology, Samsung offers HDR10+ GAMING, which delivers optimised HDR performance to each game by automatically analysing each scene and frame, thereby enhancing immersion. Since 2022, the company has integrated HDR10+ GAMING into its Odyssey gaming monitors and TVs featuring refresh rates above 120Hz.

Samsung has partnered with top video game studio CD PROJEKT RED as part of its commitment to advancing display technology alongside leading developers.

This collaboration will explore how technology can be advanced to increase the immersion of video games for players, and Samsung is already working with CD PROJEKT RED to integrate HDR10+ GAMING into its hit video game Cyberpunk 2077.

Additionally, Samsung announced the expansion of its HDR10+ GAMING partnership with Pearl Abyss. HDR10+ GAMING will be featured in Pearl Abyss’s upcoming open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert, set to launch in March, ensuring gamers enjoy a premium HDR experience.

The new Odyssey G7 (G75F model) is available in two sizes: a 37” 4K UHD (3,840×2,160) with a 16:9 aspect ratio, and Samsung’s first 40” Wide UHD (WUHD), offering 5K2K (5,120×2,160) resolution with a 21:9 aspect ratio. It expands consumer options for large gaming monitors beyond the existing 32- and 43-inch 4K resolution monitors.

It also supports features such as Picture-by-Picture (PBP) and Picture-in-Picture (PIP), so gamers can multitask with split-screen capabilities. The monitors feature VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and 350 nits of brightness to deliver excellent contrast and vivid colour reproduction for both gaming and video content. To enhance gameplay and everyday usability, each model offers:

Entering the World of 3D Gaming on the Odyssey 3D

The new Odyssey 3D (G90XF model) 27” monitor introduces a groundbreaking 3D gaming experience that does not require dedicated glasses. Advanced eye-tracking technology and a proprietary lenticular lens deliver a natural-looking high-definition 3D image, accessible through the Odyssey 3D Hub app¹, which makes the action jump out of the screen to bring new energy and immersion to games and video content.

Samsung is actively collaborating with major game developers to make the most out of this 3D technology. These collaborations include:

• Nexon for The First Berserker: Khazan, launching on March 28

A 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms Gray-to-Gray (GtG) response time keep gaming responsive and smooth on its 4K screen, while AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible reduce choppiness and screen lag, even during fast and complex gameplay.

Odyssey OLED G8 Features Highest Pixel Density on a 27’’ Screen

The unmatched picture quality of OLED gets a performance boost on the new Odyssey OLED G8(G81SF model). Available in 27” and 32” models, the 27 is a Samsungfirst 4K monitor that has 166 pixels-per-inch — the industry’s highest pixel density for a screen that size —with a 240Hz refresh rate. Both sizes of the OLED G8 bring groundbreaking performance and visual quality together.

The new 4K QD-OLED visuals deliver amazing details, with enhanced colours and contrast ratio from any viewing angle thanks to quantum dot technology. Boosted by VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400, it delivers near-infinite contrast that makes vibrant colours pop, even at the high, typically 250nit brightness. Glare Free technology certified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) allows the screen to produce less reflection, reducing distractions during use.

The screen’s image is protected by Samsung OLED Safeguard+. The proprietary Dynamic Cooling System uses the industry-first Pulsating Heat Pipe to diffuse heat five times better than standard graphite sheets, without adjusting brightness. This protects the screen from burn-in, prolonging the life of the screen.

The Odyssey G9 (G91F model) brings ultrawide gaming to more people with a simplified approach that does not sacrifice performance. Its 49’’ Dual QHD display features a 1000R curve, wrapping high-quality visuals and exciting gameplay around the user.

In addition to the 2025 gaming monitors, Samsung is launching the 37” ViewFinity S8 (S80UD model), the largest 16:9 4K Samsung monitor to date. With a screen approximately 34% larger than the previous model, the ViewFinity S8 maximises productivity and efficiency on its 4K screen. HDR10 and the ability to accurately portray 1 billion colours give professionals the tools to do their jobs effectively and efficiently.

The ViewFinity S8 is designed for comfort and efficiency. Its ergonomic design is certified by TÜV Rheinland as an Ergonomic Workspace Display, and its Intelligent Eye Care is TÜV-certified for reducing strain on users’ eyes³. Gamescom 2024, held from August 21 to 25, is the world’s largest gaming exhibition and features more than 1,400 exhibitors, including hardware, software, and game content producers. Samsung will showcase its high-end gaming monitors — including the new Odyssey 3D and models from the Odyssey G6, G8 and G9 series — at its booth, which spans 800m2 and is the company’s largest and most immersive booth to date.

Glasses-Free 3D Gaming With Odyssey 3D

The Odyssey 3D’s innovative light field display (LFD) technology creates lifelike 3D images from 2D content by using a lenticular lens^[1] on the front panel. Combined with Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology, Odyssey 3D ensures an optimised 3D experience without the need for separate 3D glasses. Eye Tracking monitors the movement of both eyes using a built-in stereo camera, while View Mapping continuously adjusts the image to enhance depth perception.

The Odyssey 3D can seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D modes based on the user’s preference. Expanding the 2024 Odyssey OLED Lineup

Samsung has announced the expansion of its highly acclaimed Odyssey OLED lineup, which features the introduction of three new models: the Odyssey OLED G95SD, G93SD and G85SD.^[2]

• The Odyssey OLED G9 series, including the G95SD and G93SD models, delivers an immersive experience with dual QHD (5,120 x 1,440) resolution, a 32:9 ultra-wide screen ratio, 1,800R curved design, Smart Hub,^[3] Gaming Hub,^[4] a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time.
