LONDON, UK – 14th November 2024 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd – From the legendary James Bond to the modern-day Deadpool, stunts have always been an iconic part of action movies. Today, new research from Samsung UK delves into the nation’s fascination with these action-packed performances, exploring what makes these scenes so gripping. We break down the top moments from some of the best loved cinematic hits using AI powered Instant Slow-mo on the Galaxy S24 FE.

Action movie fans know that stunts are important, adding that thrill and excitement to adventures on screen– a huge 86% say they’re the most integral part of an action movie’s plot, and 72% claim they’re the most iconic part of a film. Almost half (48%) have even watched a movie specifically to see a famous stunt in action.

And Brits are keen to know more about how these feats come to life, with over half (58%) saying they would appreciate film stunts even more if they could see behind the scenes.

Samsung UK teamed up with TV & Film Stunt Co-ordinator Tony Christian – credited on films including soon to be released Wicked, the Fast and Furious franchise and The Avengers – to go behind the scenes of the nation’s favourite movie moments. Enacting the high falls (46%) and fight stunts (32%) that consumers say are the most impressive, these movies moments were brought back to life in Instant Slow-mo, with every micro second of action captured.

Annika Bizon, Director of Marketing, Omnichannel & Head of Ireland- MX Division, Samsung UK explains:

“We’re all captivated by big-movie action stunts, and it is undeniable that the detail looks epic in slow motion. With Instant Slow-mo on the Galaxy S24 FE, you can make videos that look fit for cinema at the touch of a screen and immortalise some of life’s most important moments.

“This is one of the many new features we launched this year that now over 4 million Galaxy AI users here in the UK simply love, empowering people to get creative with their content.”

With almost half (48%) of Brits believing AI is helping people create high quality films at home, Samsung is supporting users to unleash their inner cinematographer and utilise all the benefits Galaxy AI offers on the S24 FE –these include, improving photos (43%) and improving videos (36%).

With Instant Slow-mo, you can easily slow down a video by touching and holding the device’s screen. In the ‘Edit’ of Gallery app, the video will be simply transformed into slow motion with additional frames generated instantly by Galaxy AI.

Revealing the UK’s top stunt moments, at number one, comes the intricate slow-motion bullet dodge scene in The Matrix – heralded as the favourite of all time. Tom Cruise and his plane hang in Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation comes second, and Fast and Furious 7’s car skydive sequence comes a close third.

The UK’s top 10 movie stunts:
