January 26, 2022 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the global launch of Odyssey Neo G7 (Model name: G70NC), the company’s first flat Mini-LED model, adding a new form factor to the industry-leading Odyssey lineup. The new monitor delivers a large screen designed to give gamers a more comprehensive range of vision and details – inviting them to the worlds of their games with lifelike picture quality.

Gaming Monitor Big Enough for Any Game and Platform

The large 43” screen delivers 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) with VESA Display HDR600 and HDR 10+ certification for advanced picture quality showcasing the best graphics of today. The Odyssey Neo G7 brings Samsung’s Quantum Matrix Technology to the fore, using Quantum Mini LEDs, which enable ultra-fine and precise control of the densely packed LEDs. As a result, users can see richer blacks, more expansive colour expression and more detail, even in shadowy gaming environments.

Additionally the Matte Display reduces light reflection on the screen, minimizing distractions during the most intense gaming sessions and letting the large screen deliver details while keeping the player focused on the game and the stunning visual performance.

The versatile new M8 delivers Samsung’s iconic slim design in four new colours – Warm White, Sunset Pink, Daylight Blue, and Spring Green – available in 32-inches with UHD resolution and a SlimFit Cam. First launched in November 2020, Samsung’s Smart Monitor series is a family of world’s first do-it-all screens designed for modern day users who demand a product that offers both functionality and entertainment at home. When it comes to productivity, the Smart Monitor M8 has it all. The standalone M8 provides a perfect home office environment by connecting to various IT devices through the upgraded Smart Hub. The Workspace User Interface offers all services needed to work on one screen, helping users wirelessly connect to a Windows or Mac PC and efficiently use an extensive range of useful features, including Samsung DeX, Apple AirPlay 2 and Microsoft 365² cloud service, as well as mirroring content from smartphone to the M8.

On top of that, the Smart Monitor M8 has a magnetic and removable SlimFit Cam that can attach to the monitor while keeping desk space neat without any unsightly wires. The SlimFit Cam also features face tracking and auto zoom functions, swiftly identifying a person’s face when on screen and automatically focusing on the subject. In other words, it can follow and capture an individual speaker, a perfect option for active presentation or livestreaming*.

The Smart Monitor M8 has an IoT hub called SmartThings Hub, where users can connect all their IoT devices wirelessly. The SmartThings app allows users to track IoT devices throughout the house easily with the app’s intuitive control panel highlighting all information provided by other devices connected to the M8, including light switch and plug power³.

Equipped with a high-sensitivity Far Field Voice microphone, the assistant controls devices such as Bixby and Amazon Alexa⁴ using voice commands. Additionally, the microphone uses an Always On Voice function, displaying conversation information on screen when Bixby is activated, even if the monitor screen is turned off.

To accompany the monitor’s wide array of features, the display offers adaptive picture technology, enhancing viewer comfort by automatically adjusting display brightness and colour temperature. The M8 also includes a height adjustable stand (HAS) and tilt functionality, allowing users to find the perfect position for every project, movie night or study session.

The Smart Monitor M8 earned CES Innovation Awards Honoree from the CTA (Consumer Technology Association) in recognition of a wide array of its display technologies.

To design this solution, iNUI Studio combined a Samsung 55″ 4K screen – the QM55 – in a metal body with AIR TOUCH^® optical sensors and a powerful processor. The Series 3 is made for heavy traffic environments and is available in several colours.

Due to its nature and the uses it allows, the AIRxTOUCH^® KIOSK Series 3 is particularly suitable for train stations or airports and – more generally – any space welcoming the public.

FIRST CASE IN EUROPE: CFL (LUXEMBOURG)

CFL is the national railway company of Luxembourg. After Luxembourg brought transportation for free all across the country – which is unique in the world – CFL wanted to go further and has deployed several AIRxTOUCH^® KIOSK Series 3 in two of Luxembourg’s train stations for this pilot phase. The new Samsung Interactive Flip 75” joins the extensive product lineup of 55”, 65” and 85” displays. It also brings enhanced safety features, including Samsung’s exclusive shatterproof screen. As the world’s largest gaming event, gamescom is an important stage for Samsung to display its latest gaming technology. The Samsung booth has doubled in size since 2018, measuring larger than an NBA basketball court at 500 square meters. Besides the CRG5, attendees can experience Samsung’s other latest gaming display innovations including the Space Gaming Monitor (SR75Q) and the Super Ultra-wide CRG9 49″.

CRG5: World’s First 240Hz Refresh Rate with Curved Display

The 27-inch CRG5 combines a lightning-fast refresh rate through 240Hz RapidCurve technology and 1500R curvature, eliminating lag time while displaying ultra-smooth scenes for a truly immersive experience. The 240Hz refresh rate allows a swift, smooth response to screen transitions and quickly changing situations, while the 1500R curved screen offers a wider view with just one glance.

To eliminate tears, stuttering and any delay in the action, G-sync Compatible from NVIDIA synchronises the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and panel, offering players exceptionally dynamic and seamless gameplay during any scene in full HD resolution.
