Seema uses the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G to film the entire tutorial, capturing every detail with its Quad Rear Camera and showcasing its toolbox of AI-powered features for both shooting and editing TikTok videos, to help elevate every single frame.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G pushes the boundaries of what a smartphone can do. It boasts Samsung’s most advanced and powerful pro-grade camera system, enabling users to capture stunning studio-quality content on its brightest, largest and most intelligent display. Its Quad Rear Camera enables users to level up their photography game even further, allowing them to move seamlessly between Ultra-Wide, Wide and Dual Tele-Lenses. Plus, with a 12-bit RAW file option, never miss a single detail when editing content.

Seema Pankhania, content creator and Food Producer at MOB Kitchen, comments:

“It’s been so much fun working with Samsung KX and showing how simple it is to batch-cook delicious recipes that are super cheap! As young students head to University this month, I really want to show them that eating on a budget doesn’t have to mean dull meals. This tutorial is great for those aspiring foodies who are looking for culinary inspiration, with hints and tips for how to effectively capture and share your own masterpieces online. Thanks to the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra’s incredible pro-grade camera, I was able to capture and elevate each step of the recipe for stunning quality.”

Seema’s top TikTok tips for capturing and sharing recipes:

Natural light – Natural light is key when capturing pictures and videos of your recipes, and having objects positioned around the photo that match the final dish such as cutlery, napkins or a tablecloth, will make your overall content pop

Get equipped – A tripod is crucial for creating engaging recipe content, as viewers can have a bird’s eye view of what you’re doing throughout. I personally like to have it really close and super zoomed, so you can see every little detail

Remove smoke and steam – Often smoke and steam can cloud the camera, so make sure you turn on the extractor fan, open a window or add a fan near your work surface so it can be blown away.

Angle awareness – Don’t forget to move your camera into different positions and angles as you work through your recipe, to ensure every step is fully in shot. When initially setting up your tripod, you want the angle of your camera to be facing directly towards the sun, so that it shines through onto your board to get the best light possible. When frying off ingredients in the pan, moving the camera above will allow you to see everything in full.

Preparation is key – When making TikTok videos, make the movements clean and slick by putting all ingredients into separate bowls before filming. So when each ingredient goes into the pan, it makes it smoother rather than stopping to gran the chopping board multiple times.

Give yourself options – Take multiple shots when you’re frying off ingredients in the pan, as when it comes round to editing you can pick which one you like the best.

Slow it down – When it comes to plating up your finished meal, stir and spoon it out of the pan slowly, as it will help to make it look super glossy.

Ashrita Seshadri, Head of Marketing for Samsung KX said:

“It’s such an exciting time for students who are heading off to university this month, however flying the nest can prove costly. It’s been great to partner with Seema to show how Samsung innovation can inspire and encourage students to create affordable and delicious dishes that makes for engaging content, while having fun in the kitchen.”

The behavioural study points to a seismic shift between the generations, as 86% of those surveyed said they believe it is easier for people today to express themselves and their whole personality than it was 25 or 50 years ago when the British were largely known for their stoicism and ‘stiff upper lip’.

The findings revealed that those aged under 35 (multitasking millennials and the Gen Z) are the ultimate chameleons tapping into an average of five distinct personality types across the course of day. Like their reptilian colour-changing counterparts, the new study suggests that they have developed the ability to blend seamlessly into social environments, whether working diligently in the office, or as the life and soul of the party.

The most popular personas amongst all adults were listed as The Thinker (81%), The Grafter (75%), The Peacemaker (66%), Leader (63%) and The Smoaster (44%).

The report commissioned by Samsung KX marks the launch of the Digital DNA Test, a new experience that gives visitors to the space the chance to identify their multitude of digital personas, supported by the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 handsets – the perfect devices for busy multi-taskers.

The study revealed that 67% of adults admit that they are ‘completely different’ when at work compared to in their personal lives and 94% of people admit they switch on to ‘work mode’ when they step into the office, moderating their behaviour and becoming more formal.

The results suggest that context is key; Brits are apparently quick to change personalities when they are in the pub (admitted by 64%), at parties (74%) and on social media where 44% admit that they are ‘smoasters’ – social media boasters – who like to show off about their lifestyles online.

The social situations where Brits most feel ‘themselves’ are hanging out with friends (cited by 24%) and being with your family (32%). Whereas the most ‘unnatural’ situations where Brits most feel they have to hide their true personalities are meeting new people (cited by 29%) and job interviews (31%).

Professor Michael Banissy believes that some of an individual’s personas may be more dominant than others as we swap between them on a daily basis. He said:

“The research from the Samsung KX Personality Audit suggests that our personalities tend to be stable over time but can be influenced by our day-to-day environment. There is a good reason for this as social flexibility is often a very useful skill with its psychological roots in our human need to feel socially included.

“We can switch to behaviours that appear to contradict our dominant personality traits as the situation demands. For instance, we may prefer to be spontaneous but might adjust this behaviour to be more structured at work. Every persona has its strengths and weaknesses – there is no ideal.”

Ashrita Seshadri, Head of Marketing for Samsung KX said:

“From working from home to home schooling, over the past year we have had a lot to juggle in our daily lives. The new Digital DNA test at Samsung KX is the perfect opportunity for visitors to learn about themselves and how the new Galaxy Flip3 and Fold3 handsets can help finesse and manage their busy schedules.”

The Digital DNA at Samsung KX is open to members of the public free of charge.

The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 phones are available now on Samsung.com and all major retailers. For added convenience, guests can also take advantage of the Click & Collect service, exclusive to Samsung KX, plus be rewarded for their purchases with KXtras.

Tuesday 7th September, London – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd – Lawrence Chaney is the star of a new online series titled ‘Lawrence Chaney: Unfolded’, which sees the iconic Drag Queen taking a deep dive into her life on and off the stage as she uncovers how she manages such a busy work life.

The three-part show features the reigning Queen of UK’s Drag Race discussing why mastering the art of multitasking is as difficult as learning how-to walk in heels as she reveals the Lawrence Chaney vs Lawrence Maidment side to her personality.

The online series, commissioned by Samsung KX, sees Lawrence flip between Lawrence Chaney and Lawrence Maidment as she explores her life both in and out of drag.

Lawrence Chaney said:

“Being a drag queen requires a lot of multitasking. So, if I could do my part with Samsung KX to help people follow in my footsteps and get themselves into multitasking mode, then we’ve done some good.”

In episode one, Lawrence Chaney, and Lawrence Maidment, sit down together to discuss their differences and how living two busy lives as two separate people in one body makes them the best to teach us on juggling our newfound personalities.

The series continues with tips and tricks from the comedy queen on how to identify, implement and master the art of multitasking into your everyday life.

Her top five tips are:

Stick at it – Don’t let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do with your life and don’t take no for an answer

Stay in control – Make sure you prepare and know what you’re doing before you do it

Be flexible – Say yes to everything that comes your way

Be the best you can – Don’t be closed minded and remember that not everyone is out to get you

There’s no need to conform – There’s no such thing as normal, be yourself

Staying organised can be a drag, which is why Samsung KX aims to simplify this for the average user through the Digital DNA Test, a new experience that gives visitors to the space the chance to identify their multitude of digital personas, supported by the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 handsets – the perfect devices for busy multi-taskers.

The series was created following new research which Brits can deploy up to nine different personalities over the course of a day.

The research reveals that 92% of Brits adults admit that they switch between numerous personalities over the course of a day depending on whether they are working, socialising, posting on social media or spending time with their family.

Ashrita Seshadri, Head of Marketing for Samsung KX said: “From working from home to home schooling, over the past year we have had a lot to juggle in our daily lives. The new Digital DNA test at Samsung KX is the perfect opportunity for visitors to learn about themselves and how the new Galaxy Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 handsets can help finesse and manage their busy schedules.”

LONDON, England – 18 June, 2021 – With six in 10 young adults keen to leave fast fashion behind, Samsung KX, London’s hub of innovation, has partnered with leading designer Patrick McDowell, to share his top slow fashion trends from Graduate Fashion Week 2021 (GFW).

A new study has revealed that millennials’ previous love of low-cost clothing has led to an average of four pieces languishing in every wardrobe over the past year, which results in a staggering total of 59 million unworn garments.

However, following a series of lockdowns in which 40% realised they only wear a handful of their outfits, 60% are now inspired to change their wardrobe habits for the better.

As the exclusive host of GFW, Samsung KX commissioned the research to mark the Slow Catwalk Finale of this annual celebration, which showcased one of a kind, sustainably curated collections by a top range of future designers.

Boasting a bespoke range of looks, the event was held privately in the space on Thursday 17th June and captured with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, bringing to life the intricate details of each bespoke piece via the epic Dual-Tele camera lens system and 108MP pro sensor.

With Patrick being a key GFW ambassador and thought leader, he hosted the catwalk alongside leading eco-fashion enthusiasts Samata Pattinson (Red Carpet, Green Dress) and Hannah Carter (Love Not Landfill); forming the ultimate panel to crown the slow style revolution.

Patrick McDowell comments “It was incredible to host GFW’s slow catwalk at Samsung KX. Creative education is the most important tool that we can arm young people with for the future. I am so proud to be celebrating the class of 2021’s creative vision for a more considered and sustainable industry.”

Despite a quarter of young adults now making their own clothes, 30% don’t know where to start with eco-friendly fashion and almost 40% agreed that more education would help tackle this.

Whilst 39% would rather be ‘sustainable’ than ‘fashionable’ if they had to choose – Patrick McDowell has shared his top fashion trends to inspire Brits to do both.

Patrick’s top slow fashion trends from Graduate Fashion Week:

Regenerative Twists

Trend: We look forward to a world where clothes are biodegradable, using fibres from the earth which can go back into it. During this year’s GFW, we’re seeing less harmful materials such as hemp and linen, which have a lower environmental impact compared to cotton.

Tip: Explore buying Monofibre garments, where the whole garment (including the thread and labels) are made from the same fibre. Post use, it makes it much easier to recycle or biodegrade.

Fashion that’s Found

Trend: There is an expectation that sustainable fabrics must be invented to make the cut. Finding and reusing is also a solution. Creative thinking allows designers to reimagine all types of objects and materials into new, showstopping designs.

Tip: Explore the back of your own cupboards for something that can be reused or transformed. As Orsola De Castro says, ‘the most sustainable clothing is already in your wardrobe’.

Storytelling Styling

Trend: As seen with many of the GFW slow garments, fashion is more commonly being used as a form of storytelling, with garments expressing the designer’s own heritage and history. In an industry where cultural appropriation and the use of other cultures for profit has been commonplace, they showcase a future where authentic narratives take centre.

Tip: Don’t be afraid to seek or create garments which express your personal stories. This is what fashion is all about and your stories set you apart from the crowd.

Gen Z Reigns Supreme

Trend: Generation Z is taking centre stage. Connected and concerned about their future, together they stand up for change. Gone are the days of fashion just for looking good, it must also fight back against injustice.

Tip: Support brands that are genuinely making a difference and share the benefits of their success.

Dialling up Concrete Detoxing

LONDON, England – July 31, 2020 –With 40% of Brits [1] currently reigniting their passion for cooking, there’s never been a better time for a culinary challenge and Samsung KX has it covered. The hub of innovation has collaborated with Jessie Ware to host an exclusive episode of her leading ‘Table Manners’ podcast in the connected kitchen. Usually held from her dining room table, the London singer along with her mum Lennie, welcome a special guest each week to cover everything from food to music, culture and politics.

For this specially connected edition, Jessie and Lennie Ware interview professional basketball player and Love Island head chef, Ovie Soko.

Located in the heart of the experience space which opened exactly a year ago on 31st July 2019, the duo gets busy whipping up Jessie’s signature dish, a creamy cheese and onion quiche with roasted vegetables, for their special guest Ovie. This was made using Samsung’s latest culinary technology, showing viewers how easy and enjoyable it can be to host friends and family from the comfort of home.

The seamless integration made serving the final dish effortless, heroing the use of connected living when it comes to home cooking whether entertaining or simple everyday dining.

Talking all things food, Ovie also shared top tips for creating his signature roast chicken dish;
