Led by three Odyssey G8 models including the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor and complemented by the Odyssey G7 which brings Samsung’s OLED technology to a broader range of users – the 2026 Odyssey lineup reinforces Samsung’s leadership in high-performance gaming displays while expanding access to advanced innovations.

This launch comes amid Samsung’s continued leadership in the global gaming monitor market, where it holds an 18.9 percent revenue share. The company has also earned the No. 1 position in the OLED gaming monitor market for the third consecutive year with a 26 percent share, according to International Data Corporation (IDC).

Odyssey G8: Setting a New Standard for High-Performance Gaming

The Odyssey G8 lineup introduces three state-of-the-art models designed to deliver high-performance experiences across a range of gaming scenarios.

The 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS model) sets a new milestone as the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, marking a significant leap beyond 4K gaming standards. 6K resolution presents exceptional visual clarity and detail, enhancing immersion while providing expanded screen space for both gaming and multitasking. It delivers ultra-high 6K resolution at 165Hz, while Dual Mode enables up to 330Hz at 3K resolution, allowing users to seamlessly balance immersive visual details with ultra-fast responsiveness.

Meanwhile, the 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF model) offers flexible performance options, supporting 5K resolution at 180Hz or up to 360Hz in QHD through Dual Mode, making it suitable for both immersive and competitive gaming.

The Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH model), available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes, features an OLED panel with 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. Glare Free technology significantly reduces glare without compromising OLED picture quality. Connectivity options, including USB-C with up to 98W charging, support high-performance gaming setups. Moreover, the Odyssey OLED G8 adopts QD-OLED Penta Tandem technology, which significantly enhances efficiency, durability and brightness. The 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 also received VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, delivering OLED’s deep blacks and vivid colours.

Across the lineup, DisplayPort 2.1^[1] ensures high-bandwidth performance for next-generation visuals, while AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible technology deliver smooth, tear-free gameplay. Additionally, the Odyssey G8 lineup features HDR10+ GAMING^[2] which dynamically optimises brightness and contrast in real time.

Odyssey G7: Expanding Access to OLED Gaming

The 32-inch Odyssey OLED G7 (G73SH model) expands Samsung’s OLED gaming lineup by bringing premium visual performance to a wider range of users.

It features 4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, delivering detailed visuals and smooth gameplay. Dual Mode enables up to 330Hz in FHD, while a 0.03ms response time supports fast, responsive performance in competitive gaming environments.

With the addition of the G7, Samsung continues to extend its OLED gaming leadership while making advanced display technologies more widely accessible.

ViewFinity S8: High-Resolution Displays for Professional Workflows

The ViewFinity S8 lineup is designed to meet the demands of modern professional environments, combining high-resolution clarity with advanced connectivity and ergonomic flexibility. Whether managing complex creative workflows or seamlessly multitasking across applications, these monitors are engineered to deliver a refined, high-performance experience that maximises productivity.

The 40-inch ViewFinity S8 (S85TH model) features a curved WUHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, enabling seamless multitasking and efficient handling of complex workflows. Thunderbolt 5 supports high-resolution video and data-intensive tasks with data transfer speeds of 80 Gbps and device charging up to 140W. In addition, Easy Connection provides streamlined connectivity across devices.

The 27-inch ViewFinity S8 (S80HF model) offers 5K resolution with USB-C connectivity for streamlined data transfer and device charging. Its ergonomic design supports comfortable long-term use, and, since it is made to deliver 5K resolution in a more accessible package, it brings high-resolution performance to a broader range of professional users.

Smart Monitor M9: Entertainment and Efficiency Get an AI Upgrade

The Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model) introduces industry-first AI features that enhance entertainment and interactivity through smart picture adaptation and search functions.

As the first monitor to integrate on-device AI, the M9 features AI Picture Optimizer, which analyses input signals to determine the type of content being viewed — such as gaming, video or productivity applications — and automatically adjust the display settings for the best visual experience.^[1] For gamers, the AI goes further by recognising the genre of the game being played and fine-tune the picture settings to deliver an optimal and immersive experience for every playstyle.^[2]

The M9 also incorporates 4K AI Upscaling Pro, which uses advanced AI processing and neural networks to upgrade lower-resolution content up to 4K quality.^[3] By analysing input signals and existing image data, this feature delivers crystal-clear visuals with enhanced detail, regardless of the original resolution.

These smart and personalised features enhance the hardware performance of the M9. It features a 32” 4K OLED screen with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 for incredible details and vivid colours. Samsung Odyssey Series: Two Industry Firsts with a 27” 4K OLED Gaming Monitor and an OLED Screen with a 500Hz Refresh Rate

The Odyssey gaming monitor series powers up industry-leading performance in new sizes with the 2025 Odyssey OLED G8 and G6 models.

The Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF model) is the first 27” 4K (3,840 x 2,160) OLED gaming monitor in the world. The screen packs in 165 PPI(pixels per inch) with a refresh rate of 240Hz. The level of pixel density and screen smoothness gives game creators and players a new level of detail and picture quality as they build and explore realistic gaming worlds.

On the other hand, the Odyssey OLED G6 (G60SF model) redefines speed as the first-ever OLED screen with a 500Hz refresh rate on its QHD (2,560 x 1,440) screen. The lightning-fast speed and ultra-smooth gameplay unleashes the potential for gamers who demand the best to gain a winning edge from device performance.

Both models deliver a response time of 0.03ms (GTG) for smooth visuals and crisp gameplay, even in fast-paced gaming environments. They also support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and are NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible, allowing them to provide smooth pictures with less tear and flickering. VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400^[4] delivers rich darks without bloom or color bleed, making the most of the OLED screen, while OLED Glare Free screens keep the focus on the game by reducing distracting reflections and glare.

Samsung is also showcasing the 27” Odyssey 3D (G90XF model) gaming monitor at CES. Thanks to its lenticular lens attached to the front of the panel and its front stereo camera, the Odyssey 3D provides a customizable 3D experience without the need for separate 3D glasses. It can also add a new depth to content by using AI to analyse and convert 2D video into 3D.

ViewFinity S8: A Bigger Canvas for Productivity and Creativity

The 37” ViewFinity S8 (S80UD model) is the largest 16:9 4K monitor to date. Its screen is approximately 34% larger than the previous model^[5] and is designed to maximise productivity, immersion and efficiency. With its sRGB 99% color gamut faithfully presenting colors on the 4K (3,840 x 2,160) screen, the ViewFinity S8 delivers the colour representation and brightness necessary for professional users to do their best work.

The 2025 ViewFinity S8 has been certified by TÜV Rheinland^[6] for ‘Ergonomic Workspace Display,’ recognising its ergonomic design that enhances work immersion, task efficiency and productivity. TÜV-certified^[7] Intelligent Eye Care reduces fatigue in users’ eyes — even during prolonged use — by adjusting the color temperature based on the environment’s lighting. Eye saver mode and a flicker-free feature also protect eyes from strain.

With a simple Easy Setup Stand, the S8 also keeps productivity high through a built-in KVM^[8] switch, turning the monitor into a single command station for multi-tasking across several devices with only one mouse and keyboard. Devices can also be connected and charged at the same time with a 90W USB-C connection, making it easy to quickly manage all the accessories a user needs.

The Samsung ViewFinity S8 is available in 32” and 27” models to give high performance in the most popular screen sizes. Pro-grade UHD resolution is combined with a wide colour gamut up to 98% of DCI-P3 and Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) DisplayHDR 600^[1] for more range, accuracy and nuance. Professional factory calibration ensures up to one billion colours are projected in crystal clarity on the IPS panel, which creates vibrant colour reproduction and contrast while working on the most complex visual and design projects.

Moreover, Samsung ViewFinity S8 received the ‘PANTONE Validated’^[2] recognition in display from PANTONE^[3] — meaning the models authentically reproduce more than 2,000 colours as well as the newly added 110 skin tone shades which can be found in the PANTONE SkinTone Guide.

As the world’s first UL^[4] verified Glare Free monitor, Matte Display is applied on the top of the panel, reducing light reflection even when not using a monitor hood to provide a distraction-free working environment. This is enhanced by the wide viewing angle allowing users to see images clearly from any angle. Plus, ViewFinity S8 earned the CES 2022 Innovation Award Honoree in the Computer Peripherals & Accessories category in recognition of Samsung’s ongoing efforts to deliver considerable benefits to its customers.

Samsung has developed and applied a new material, made with repurposed ocean-bound plastics, to the ViewFinity S8 to reduce marine waste and minimise the environmental footprint while using more recycled plastics to produce its display products than it did in 2021. Samsung’s Eco Savings Plus technology also reduces pixel brightness in sections of an image with black pixels for up to a 10% reduction in power consumption. In fact, ViewFinity S8 is TCO Certified^[5] for its product design based on specific social and environmental responsibility requirements, as its product lifecycle also contributes to the circular economy.

The ViewFinity S8 offers increased functionality to create efficient workflows. It can be used as an all-in-one dock for desktops or laptops for simplified workstations at home or the office. Also, users can connect the monitor with a single USB Type-C cable enables display signals, 10Gbps data transfers, fast internet speeds via an Ethernet^[6] connection and fast charging with up to 90W power. The VESA-compatible design maximizes space efficiency, allowing users to adjust, tilt, swivel and pivot the monitor into the perfect ergonomic position.
