RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. \u2013 November 11, 2016<\/strong> \u2013 Today, Samsung Electronics America<\/strong><\/a> announced the continuation of its commitment to veteran employment into STEAM- based jobs through its Samsung Veterans Empowerment Program. Partnering with Warriors4Wireless<\/a> (W4W) and VetsinTech<\/a> (ViT), active duty military and veterans will be able to obtain valuable tech training into high demand positions.<\/p>\n

\u201cSamsung recognizes the sacrifices the U.S. military and their families have made,\u201d said Ann Woo<\/a>, director of Corporate Citizenship, Samsung Electronics America.<\/strong> \u201cCreating a pathway to meaningful employment is just one of the many initiatives Samsung is involved in that helps veterans.\u00a0 We\u2019re honored to continue our commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work.\u201d<\/p>\n

Both programs offer training that leads to meaningful employment. W4W provides transitioning service members with training at select military bases for careers in the telecommunications industry as wireless or broadband technicians. ViT provides veterans with valuable tech skills through its partnership with Galvanize, Inc.<\/a>, the dynamic learning community for technology. Veterans in select cities can learn basic coding and have the option of pursuing additional training for careers in web development or data science.<\/p>\n
