RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ \u2013 February 11, 2019 \u2013\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.<\/strong> announced today that its 2019 TV line<\/strong>, including new QLED 4K and 8K models, are available for purchase or pre-order on Samsung.com and at select retailers nationwide. Powered by Samsung\u2019s proprietary Quantum Processor, the 2019 QLED TV lineup features more screen size options, stunning picture quality enhancements, dazzling colors from every angle, exciting new design elements and intuitive smart TV upgrades.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur 2019 QLED line is designed for users who want the best combination of picture quality, smart TV capabilities and design,\u201d said Andrew Sivori, VP, TV Product Marketing, Samsung Electronics America.<\/strong>\u201cThis year\u2019s lineup represents our largest screen size offering ever. It brings together innovative feature enhancements and exciting content and service partnerships to deliver a truly groundbreaking viewing experience and unprecedented value.\u201d<\/p>\n

Including more ultra-large screen TVs in its lineup is part of a wider strategy at Samsung due to consumer demand. According to global business information provider IHS Markit, the market for 75-inch or bigger TVs recorded 2.1 million units in 2018 and is expected to grow by 43% to 3 million units this year and to 5.8 million units by 2022.*<\/p>\n

A More Comprehensive Lineup<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Samsung\u2019s QLED lineup offers 4K and 8K models in a range of sizes to suit the needs of every home and every lifestyle. The 2019 QLED 4K line spans four series\u2014Q60, Q70, Q80 and Q90\u2014that range from 43 to 82 inches. They join the 2019 QLED 8K line, which is available in five sizes ranging from 65 to 98 inches.<\/p>\n

Samsung is also enhancing its design-focused lifestyle TVs: The Frame, which features the Samsung Art Store<\/a>**, the world\u2019s largest art platform for TV,of 1,000+ works of art and interchangeable bezels for owners to customize to their aesthetic, and The Serif, which features a bold, post-modern design that makes a statement in any room. New for this year, The Frame and The Serif feature superb QLED picture quality along with new Smart features in a variety of sizes.<\/p>\n\n

A More Pristine Picture<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The 2019 Q80 and Q90 feature \u2018Ultra Viewing Angle\u2019 technology, which restructures the TV\u2019s panels so the backlight passes through the panel with lights evenly onto the screen. Engineered to reduce glare and enhance color, Ultra Viewing Angle provides a vibrant picture regardless of the viewing position.<\/p>\n

In addition, Q70, Q80, and Q90models offer Direct Full Array technology that uses a panel featuring concentrated zones of precision-controlled LEDs. These LEDs adjust automatically to display deeper blacks and purer whites, delivering stunning images with pristine contrast.<\/p>\n

A More Intelligent Quantum Processor<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Q900 Series 8K TVs incorporate Samsung\u2019s proprietary Quantum Processor 8K, which upscales lower resolution content to stunningly crisp 8K while also allowing for playback of native 8K content. This year\u2019s models also utilize the Quantum Processor 8K that optimizes audio and video to the specific content on the screen. It can also create an even more detailed sound experience by tailoring the audio settings to the specific layout of the room.<\/p>\n

Samsung\u2019s new QLED 4K models also feature their own proprietary Quantum Processor 4K. No matter the resolution of the source content, the Quantum Processor 4K can use AI upscaling*** to deliver improved brightness, picture quality and sound optimized for each scene.<\/p>\n

As announced at CES 2019, Samsung will take the user experience to the next level by offering iTunes Movies and TV Shows and\u00a0Apple AirPlay 2\u00a0support<\/a> on 2019 Samsung Smart TV models. Support on 2018 Samsung Smart TVs will be made available via firmware update. In an industry first, a new iTunes Movies and TV Shows app will debut\u00a0on Samsung Smart TVs in more than 100 countries.\u00a0AirPlay 2 support will be available soon on Samsung Smart TVs in 190 countries worldwide.<\/p>\n

With the new iTunes Movies and TV Shows app on Samsung Smart TVs, Samsung customers can access their existing iTunes library and browse the iTunes Store to buy or rent from a selection of hundreds of thousands of movies and TV episodes \u2014 including the largest selection of 4K HDR movies. iTunes Movies and TV Shows will work seamlessly with Samsung\u2019s Smart TV Services, such as Universal Guide, the New Bixby and Search, to create a consistent experience across Samsung\u2019s platform.With AirPlay 2 support, Samsung customers will be able to effortlessly play videos, photos, music, podcasts and more from\u00a0Apple devices\u00a0directly to Samsung Smart TVs, including QLED 4K and 8K TVs, The Frame and Serif lifestyle TVs, as well as other Samsung UHD and HD models.<\/p>\n

A More Convenient Content Experience<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

2019 Samsung Smart TVs offer even more ways for users to discover and watch content. The Universal Guide features an improved AI algorithm that leverages a user\u2019s subscription services, favorite content, and TV viewing habits to offer customized recommendations about what to watch. Users will be able to leverage the New Bixby feature on 2019 QLED TVs and soon use Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant to easily control their TVs and access their content through voice commands.<\/p>\n

Users can quickly and easily navigate their content with Samsung\u2019s OneRemote. And with the addition of Far Field Voice Capability on the OneRemote, users can use voice commands to control their TV even if they are across the room from their remote.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
