Samsung Electronics America, Inc<\/strong>. is among 11 electronics industry leaders being recognized today by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for sustainably designing products and processes, while also diverting nearly 276,000 tons of electronics from landfills.<\/p>\n

In December 2018, Samsung received the EPA\u2019s Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Gold Tier Champion Award for its leadership in e-waste collection and recycling<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Samsung collected and recycled over 124 million pounds of e-waste, and is also being recognized for providing convenient e-waste collection and responsible recycling through its conformance to e-Stewards certified recyclers.<\/p>\n
