\nSamsung is proud to establish a partnership with Fisher House Foundation, whose work in the backyards of our facility communities and all around the country help military families experience the comforts of home, while a loved one is receiving medical treatment.
\nOur $500,000 commitment over the next two years is comprised of corporate funding, product donation, and volunteerism, specifically in the capacities of:<\/p>\n

Principal Construction Donor*<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Samsung will outfit (4) new homes across the country, each receiving:<\/h5>\n
    \n
  • $100,000 combined donation of cash and products, including household appliances<\/li>\n
  • Tablets with a curated suite of apps tailored to families\u2019 needs in facilitating communication with loved ones, employers, medical care, financial institutions, and academic affiliates<\/li>\n
  • Event support for Fisher House openings, including media outreach and engagement with local government officials for the ceremonies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Technology Partner<\/strong><\/span>
    \nSamsung will update homes across the Fisher House network by donating household appliances,\u00a0where needed, and tablets.<\/p>\n

    Employee Engagement<\/strong><\/span>
    \nSamsung employees will have volunteer opportunities to work with Fisher Houses in Palo Alto, CA, Omaha, NE, Ft. Hood, TX, and Charleston, SC by:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Volunteering at specific Fisher Houses for biannual Samsung National Days of Service, or fulfilling a House Wish List on Amazon Smile<\/li>\n
    • Donating airline miles and hotel points to Fisher House Foundation\u2019s Hero Miles and Hotels for Heroes programs<\/li>\n
    • Participating in annual Giving Tuesday events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Scholarship Fund for Military Spouses<\/strong><\/span>
      \nIn addition to its partnership with Fisher House Foundation, Samsung will donate $100,000 throughout 2015 and 2016 to the National Military Family Association Military Spouse Scholarship Fund. These scholarships will support the New Jersey-based spouses of military service members who are pursuing their higher education goals, specifically in STEM-focused academic programs.<\/p>\n
