Samsung Electronics today announced the expanded availability of their Kiosk display, an all-in-one secure solution that offers simultaneous contactless ordering and payment capabilities. Providing businesses with easy install options and an enhanced protective coating, the Kiosk is now available.<\/p>\n

\u201cSamsung is disrupting the kiosk market with its innovative and secure self-service capabilities that are ready to use out-of-the-box and within reach for any business,\u201d said Mark Quiroz, Vice President, Display Division, Samsung Electronics America.<\/strong> \u201cThe touch display with a speaker, printer, scanner, payment solution was designed with the customer in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

Available in a stylish grey-white color, the 24-inch touchscreen display is powered by Samsung\u2019s proven SoC (System on Chip) technology, removing the need for an external PC \u2013 all while delivering powerful and reliable technology. The Kiosk adopts a modular design to provide a variety of payment options for customers, including a fully integrated EMV terminal cradle* (MasterCard, Visa) for a Verifone terminal (P400)**, in addition to barcode, QR code and with a built-in printer and Wi-Fi system. This all-in-one functionality makes maintenance fast and easy, ensuring minimal business downtime, a decrease in operating costs and increased customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n

The Kiosk is suitable for any business environment with a variety of installation options. Firstly, the countertop design can be installed on any counter or table within a store, without the need for any additional construction, saving time, money and space. When installed with a stand, it can be positioned anywhere within a store due to the detachable functionality of the stand, seamlessly integrating with any interior design. The Kiosk can also be wall-mounted* to maximize space savings.<\/p>\n

During a time when contactless interactions have increased, Samsung treated the Kiosk screen with an antimicrobial coating to protect the panel from degradation***. The coating prevents the screen from being tarnished by oxygen and sulfur in the air, maintaining crystal clear picture quality throughout the lifespan of the Kiosk. In addition, the display is covered with a shatterproof film, enhancing customer safety by ensuring that glass doesn’t scatter even if it\u2019s broken for maximum protection.<\/p>\n

Effortless Security & Management<\/span><\/h3>\n

The kiosk uses three-layer security protection powered by Samsung Knox technology, designed to protect its hardware, payment platform and application, as well as customer information, against external threats such as hacking. It also supports application development on the secured platform through a Linux-based open-source operating system, powered by Tizen, providing high compatibility and supporting web standard technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS), so developers can easily create a variety of software applications that can be used on the Kiosk.<\/p>\n

Major fintech and Point of Sales (POS) solution partners are joining the Samsung Tizen Kiosk ecosystem, with already more than 20 partners such as GRUBBRR\u2122, Softpoint, Nanonation Inc., 900 Solutions Corp., Big Digital Corp., Global P.O.S, EuroPOS, Nowbusking and others playing a pivotal role in expanding the possibilities of powerful innovations such as the Kiosk. With the MagicINFO Remote Management feature, store management can improve efficiency by identifying any issues in real-time and taking necessary measures when a problem occurs.
