According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gallup.com\/analytics\/354374\/the-american-upskilling-study.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gallup poll<\/a><a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a>, 57% of adults who are either employed or in the labor force say they are extremely or very interested in participating in an upskilling program. And of those, 63% state that their motivation for doing so is to advance their careers.<\/p>\n\n<p>This past month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung Care<\/a> hosted its annual <a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsung.com\/us\/tag\/samsung-skills-competition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Skills and Repair Competitions<\/a>, where top <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/support\/find-mobile-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mobile Experience (MX)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/support\/find-tv-and-appliance-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Consumer Electronics and Home Appliance (CE)<\/a> technicians from across the country were celebrated, while putting their skills to the test.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsung.com\/us\/tag\/samsung-skills-competition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">annual competitions<\/a> have become an integral part of our investments in proactive and preventative care, while providing a platform to recognize our technicians and furthering their professional development in a growing field,\u201d said Mark Williams, Vice President of Customer Care at Samsung Electronics America. \u201cIt is always inspiring to see the pride for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung and its products<\/a> among our employees come to life during these events, as we all work toward the shared goal of providing the best experiences for our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-gallery-wrap\"><div class=\"item-viewed\"><div class=\"itemSlide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.us.news.samsung.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06124839\/DSC05229-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"><p class=\"caption\">Excited participants gathered at the 5th annual Samsung CE Care Skills competition in South Carolina. <\/p><\/div><div class=\"itemSlide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.us.news.samsung.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06112108\/DSC05039-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"><\/div><div class=\"itemSlide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.us.news.samsung.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06125116\/DSC00076-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\"><p class=\"caption\">In Plano, Texas, 15 MX Care technicians completed drills focused on speed, skill and compliance. <\/p><\/div><div class=\"itemSlide\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.us.news.samsung.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06124414\/DSC00242-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"samsung-mobile-repair-skills-competition\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"post-slide-controls\"><div class=\"dot-wrap\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<p>First up was the fifth annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/support\/find-tv-and-appliance-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung CE Care<\/a> Skills competition at the <a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsung.com\/us\/the-south-carolina-samsung-effect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung Electronics Home Appliance (SEHA) facility<\/a> in Newberry, South Carolina. This year, six excited technicians gathered together bright and early, eager to claim the title of Samsung\u2019s \u201cTop Tech.\u201d Participants went head to head in accuracy, speed and customer satisfaction tests, requiring the technicians to swiftly troubleshoot and tackle complex situations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m excited to have made it to the end of this process and to really take what I&#8217;ve learned, bring it back to my company and improve for next year,\u201d said first place winner Connor Wallace from Cone Appliance.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/img.us.news.samsung.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06123846\/IMG_0919-scaled.jpg\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s such a great honor to be in the Samsung Skills competition <a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsung.com\/us\/samsung-customer-care-mobile-experience-host-national-skills-repair-competitions-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">two years in a row<\/a>. It shows the value that being with Hometown Hero brings to the customer and to Samsung,\u201d said third place winner Austin Lanke, Hometown Hero.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s competition <a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsung.com\/us\/acsi-samsung-scores-1-in-quality-for-tvs-and-service-for-appliances\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">followed #1 rankings<\/a> in product quality for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/tvs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TVs<\/a> and in service experience for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/home-appliances\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Home Appliances<\/a> in the 2023 American Customer Satisfaction Index Survey (ACSI\u00ae). Fifteen participants spent the day at Samsung\u2019s Plano, TX campus completing drills focused on speed, skill and compliance. It is awesome to see that I know more than I think I do.
