I\u2019ve managed over 300 events for Samsung<\/a> and pioneered a music series that showcases artists while inspiring communities and spreading the company\u2019s brand message<\/a>. <\/span>It\u2019s been an amazing career that has tapped into both the extroverted and introverted sides of my personality. Being an ambivert is like having two secret weapons that I can switch between, depending on what the situation demands.<\/p>\n

As an extrovert, I thrive in the bustling energy of events. I love rallying the team and making sure everyone stays motivated and positive. When something goes wrong\u2014and it often does in this line of work\u2014I\u2019m quick on my feet, ready to engage and find solutions.<\/p>\n

However, my introverted side is equally important. Behind the scenes, I spend hours in quiet contemplation, brainstorming new ideas to make each event unique and compelling. I’m meticulous in planning, paying attention to every detail. This reflective time also allows me to anticipate potential problems and prepare contingency plans.<\/p>\n\n

In many ways, being an ambivert has given me a holistic approach to my job. During events, I\u2019m busy mingling with crowds of people, but I also find solace in moments of solitude, stepping back to observe and ensure everything is unfolding as planned. This duality keeps me balanced and effective.<\/p>\n

While a big part of my job is to make connections, networking didn\u2019t always come naturally to me. I used to be shy, and having the confidence to talk to new people was a challenge I had to overcome. Funny enough, my love of hats has helped me. I wear a hat pretty much every day to complete my outfit. During the pandemic, I started learning how to design hats and created WLTC<\/a>, which stands for Wafer Like the Cookie. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

For me, these hats are more than just accessories; they are conversation starters and expressions of my identity. My hats say hello before I do. WLTC became a symbol of how I navigate social spaces, allowing my creativity to speak volumes where words sometimes fail me. Each hat is a canvas, a quiet assertion of individuality in a sea of noise. The birth of my hat brand has mirrored my growth at Samsung, reinforcing the idea that introversion is not a limitation, but a unique perspective that enriches my work and personal life.<\/p>\n

In a world where extroversion is often celebrated, it\u2019s important to remember that introversion is also a gift. It allows you to connect on a deeper level, create with intention, and lead with empathy. I embrace my introverted side and let it guide me in ways that feel authentic and true to myself.<\/p>\n

For those who feel shy, unseen, introverted, or even struggle with imposter syndrome, it\u2019s important to know that you don\u2019t have to shout to be heard. Quiet confidence is just as powerful as overt assertiveness. Your quiet strength is a beacon, and your perspectives, shaped by your unique experiences<\/a> and introspections, bring a depth that is essential in any work environment.
