At the Introducing the Bio-processor: The all-in-one Sensor for Health Monitoring<\/strong> panel, developers got to learn more about the Bio-processor SDK and how they can use it to create the next generation of always-on health monitoring devices.<\/p>\n Led by Senior Director of Research at Samsung Sajid Sadi, the panel focused on the many health-monitoring options developers would have at their disposal through the all-in-one Bio-processor, including sleep monitoring, PPG- and ECG-based heart rate, stress levels, sleep habits and more. \u00a0Also making an appearance\u2014in schematic design form\u2014was the S-Patch prototype, the first wearable device that uses the Bio-Processor.<\/p>\n Sadi briefly outlined Samsung\u2019s plans to look beyond the current state of wearable devices and hinted at grander ambitions in terms of things to come on the wellness tracking front.<\/p>\n \u201cWe want to take health monitoring to the next level,\u201d said Sadi.<\/p>\n There are challenges ahead that will need to be addressed if advances in this area are truly to be realized. One of those hurdles, Sadi acknowledged, was the idea of getting people to add another chargeable device to their already robust collection.<\/p>\n \u201cThe reality is we need to get people used to the idea of wearing another chargeable product on their body,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n With a reputation for world-class design and functionality, Samsung is in a good position to clearly demonstrate the utility of our products. Our goal is for people to use them in a way that accommodates their lifestyles and not the other way around.
