The new model is designed for Premium Large Format (PLF) theaters and delivers the same picture quality, reliability and scalability that define the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Onyx platform<\/a> at a larger scale.<\/p>\n<p>As cinemas raise the bar on premium, differentiated experiences, larger-format auditoriums are becoming a key priority for exhibitors. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung\u2019s<\/a> new 14-meter format<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> is designed to meet this demand \u2014 enabling greater immersion, optimized seating layouts and more efficient use of theater space.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople go to premium theaters for something they cannot recreate at home,\u201d said Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. \u201cThat raises the bar for every part of the auditorium, starting with the screen. Samsung\u2019s new 14-meter Onyx gives exhibitors a way to bring the premium experience to larger auditoriums, helping turn moviegoing into a destination again.\u201d<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Expanding Premium Cinema Experiences with Screens Up to 20 Meters<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Since its debut in 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung Onyx<\/a> has broadened what cinema LED can deliver with deep blacks, rich color and striking contrast. Following last year\u2019s launch of the 5-meter (16-feet) model for boutique theaters and the 10-meter (33-feet) model for premium auditoriums,<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung<\/a> is now expanding the lineup with a 14-meter standard size designed for larger theater environments.<\/p>\n<p>The new model brings the same core <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Onyx experience<\/a> \u2014 including support for up to <strong>4K 120Hz<\/strong>,<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\"><sup>3<\/sup><\/a> exceptional clarity and ultra-smooth motion \u2014 while introducing two distinctions tailored to the 14-meter format:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>3mm pixel pitch: <\/strong>optimized for the 14-meter format to deliver sharp, consistent image quality on a larger screen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flexible scaling support:<\/strong> enables the 14-meter format to expand up to 20 meters (66 feet) \u2014 more than doubling total screen area without compromising presentation quality. Individual LED cabinets can be added to the sides and bottom to achieve the desired size, creating a seamless, floor-to-ceiling visual experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As the world\u2019s first DCI-certified <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cinema LED display<\/a>,<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\"><sup>4<\/sup><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Onyx<\/a> supports both <strong>scope (2.39:1)<\/strong> and <strong>flat (1.85:1)<\/strong> aspect ratios. Unlike conventional projection-based systems, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/business\/led-signage\/cinema-led\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Onyx LED screen<\/a> delivers consistent brightness and image quality regardless of screen size or seating position.
