Samsung Electronics<\/a> Co., Ltd. today announced its 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup at Gamescom 2026, the world\u2019s largest gaming event, being held in Cologne, Germany from Aug. 26-30. The new lineup introduces multiple Odyssey models that will feature world-first innovations, empowering players with greater versatility across speed, screen size, picture quality, and flexible display modes.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlayers come to Gamescom to discover what is next, try new games, and experience the technology they need to stay focused and compete at their best,\u201d said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. \u201cWith new form factors, higher refresh rates, and advanced display technologies, the 2027 Odyssey lineup gives players more choice across competitive play, cinematic games, and multi-purpose setups.\u201d<\/p>\n

Samsung To Spotlight 2027 Odyssey Lineup at Gamescom 2026 <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Samsung will present the 2027 Odyssey lineup for the first time during its dedicated Gamescom 2026 session, \u201c#PlaySamsung : The Next Era of Gaming Displays,\u201d at 10:30 a.m. CET on Aug. 27. The session will explore how screen size, resolution, refresh rate, and display modes suit different games and play styles.<\/p>\n

The Odyssey OLED G9 (G95SJ model) and Odyssey OLED G7 (G75SJ model) will be unveiled on stage, while the Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SJ model) and Odyssey G6 (G60H model) will be introduced on-screen during the keynote.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As a part of the session, Samsung will also spotlight its HDR10+ GAMING partnership with Activision Blizzard, bringing richer HDR gameplay into the development process for Call of Duty\u00ae: Modern Warfare\u00ae 4. The technology helps compatible Odyssey monitors and Samsung displays deliver color and contrast that more accurately reflect the creative intent of each game. Samsung plans to expand the HDR10+ GAMING ecosystem to more than 20 AAA titles by the first half of 2027.<\/p>\n

The Odyssey OLED G9 is the world\u2019s first 49-inch DQHD gaming monitor with up to a 360 Hz refresh rate. It features a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with Penta Tandem\u2122 technology. Its five-layer panel structure is up to 1.3 times more efficient and offers up to twice the lifetime of the previous generation. The RGB Stripe sub-pixel layout reduces color fringing and supports clearer text, while the display reaches a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits on a 3% window at 4K resolution.1<\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n

It features a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with Penta Tandem\u2122 technology and RGB Stripe subpixels, and players can switch between UHD at 360 Hz, QHD at 520 Hz and FHD at 680 Hz to balance resolution and speed based on the game, device, and performance settings.
