Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced Galaxy S26 FE, the newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family and the first in the line-up to launch with One UI 9

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced Galaxy S26 FE, the newest addition to the Galaxy S26 family and the first in the line-up to launch with One UI 9 – bringing the latest premium Galaxy experiences to more users from day one. With enhanced camera capabilities and more context-aware Galaxy AI, it elevates how users capture, create and connect every day. Built around what users value most in a thin and light design, Galaxy S26 FE carries the iconic Galaxy S experience forward.

“Galaxy S26 FE is a purposefully designed to deliver the signature strengths of the Galaxy S series, ensuring that every feature makes a meaningful difference in users’ daily lives,” said Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Packed with beloved Galaxy camera and AI experiences, backed by the latest One UI 9, Galaxy S26 FE comes to life as an ideal choice for those who know exactly what matters most to them.”

Sharper Capture, Effortless Editing

Galaxy S26 FE delivers a more capable camera experience from capture to edit, with an enhanced triple rear camera and advanced image processing that help users capture and refine the moments that matter – whether shooting still scenes or fast-moving action.

My FanCam[1], first introduced on the latest Galaxy foldables, is now available on Galaxy S26 FE. It automatically tracks a selected person and keeps them centred, intelligently reframing video as the scene moves so users can turn dynamic moments into social-ready content with less manual editing.

For video, Super Steady[2] with Horizontal Lock is a favourite among Galaxy S26 users – helping capture smoother, more level footage while filming fast-moving activities, travel moments and everyday scenes on the go.

Galaxy S26 FE supports 3x optical zoom, giving users more confidence when shooting from a distance. For selfies, an enhanced 12MP front camera[3] captures more in every frame, making group shots easier to take[4].

Nightography4, a signature of the Galaxy S series, helps users capture bright and clear shots in low light, with detail preserved even in the most challenging scenes.

Even after the moment has passed, Photo Assist[5] makes it easier to refine images using natural language prompts – turning day into night adding new elements or restoring missing parts. Plus, edits can be reviewed step by step and revised or undone along the way.

With Gemini Omni[6], users can easily create and edit videos clips based on photo and videos from their Gallery, turning them into polished, ready-to-share videos

Built to Keep Up Throughout Your Day

Galaxy S26 FE brings meaningful upgrades to the everyday essentials users rely on most including a long-lasting battery and a bright display built for work, entertainment and creativity from morning to night.

A long-lasting 4,900mAh battery[7] keeps users going while maintaining the slim and refined design of the Galaxy S26 line-up. Users can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes with the 45 W adapter powering up quickly to stay connected for longer.

A 7-inch[8] AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate provides smooth, immersive visuals with brightness, resolution and clarity for streaming, gaming, browsing and creative work.

Users choosing Galaxy S26 FE as their next device will feel the power of the Galaxy experience from day one. An improved Smart Switch helps users get set up more easily, making the move to Galaxy feel like a warm welcome. Meanwhile long-term software updates and Samsung Care+ provide added confidence over time.

Upgraded Smart Switch[9] makes moving to Galaxy easier than ever. Whether switching from an Android or iOS device, users can scan a QR code to wirelessly move data – from passwords and passkeys to call history, accessibility settings and eSIM data – with no extra apps and less setup time.

Galaxy S26 FE is built to last, with up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates[10] allowing users to enjoy the latest features with confidence for years to come.

For added peace of mind, Samsung Care+[11] offers comprehensive coverage optimised to users’ needs, including fast repairs for accidental damage, and certified expert support at home With One UI 9, the new Warranty and care settings hub also makes it easy to enrol in, access and manage Samsung Care+, along with other device care support.

A 6-month free trial of Google AI Pro[12] will bring expanded AI capabilities and 5TB of cloud storage valued at AUD $32.99 per month[13].

Together, these enhancements deliver the Galaxy experiences users rely on every day in one thoughtfully crafted device.

Powered by the latest One UI 9, Galaxy S26 FE brings a range of intuitive, context-aware Galaxy AI[14] experiences that make daily life easier by adapting to users’ routines to keep them informed and organised. It also handles everyday tasks faster and more seamlessly on the user’s behalf.

Updated Now Brief[15], first introduced on the Galaxy S25 series, is even more personalised through customisable briefing cards like weather and wellness insights. Users can now create their own cards with a simple prompt, making Now Brief more relevant throughout the day.

Now Nudge[16] is expanded to select third-party apps and notifications, surfacing timely, relevant suggestions across more of the day helping users turn insights into action and manage everyday routines with less friction.

Circle to Search with Google[17] now allows users to search for multiple items in an image at once, making it easier to identify products, places, objects and more in a single step.

Following the launch of the new Galaxy Z series at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London, Samsung leaders engaged with media from Southeast Asia and Oceania, sharing insights about how AI is evolving from a technology that people experiment with into one that is woven into everyday life.

Won-Joon Choi, President and COO of Samsung Electronics’ Mobile eXperience (MX) Business and Head of R&D Office, CU Kim, President & CEO of Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania, and Carl Nordenberg, VP & Regional Head of the Mobile eXperience Business for Southeast Asia and Oceania discussed changing consumer expectations in the region and what comes next for mobile AI experiences.

As Samsung introduced an all-new form factor this year, CU Kim revealed that sales of the Galaxy Z7 Series have increased by almost 15% year-on-year compared with the previous generation, indicating growing consumer interest in foldable experiences across Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Highlighting the region’s growing adoption of AI, CU Kim shared that AI usage among Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 users in Southeast Asia and Oceania has increased from 84% in August 2025 to 96% in June 2026[1]. He noted that consumers often utilise AI for practical daily tasks, with Circle to Search, Now Brief and Photo Assist among the most frequently used features.

CU Kim, President & CEO, Samsung Electronics Southeast Asia and Oceania

CU Kim said “The next phase of AI will not be about more features. It is about relevance”, emphasising that as AI works across the various Galaxy mobile devices and other Samsung appliances and screens, it will be able to better understand user needs and become more helpful and personalised over time.

Galaxy AI also currently supports 22 languages, including Filipino, Indonesian, Thai and Vietnamese, reflecting Samsung’s commitment to delivering localised experiences for consumers across this diverse region.

The session explored how AI is changing the way people interact with their mobile devices as well, with CU Kim reiterating that in this region, mobile phones are the primary gateway to AI.

When discussing the future of mobile AI, Won-Joon Choi highlighted that the value of AI will be determined by how well it can remove friction in the background while giving users greater flexibility and choice.

“From a consumer’s perspective, there is no single AI that’s right for everyone. We want users to have the flexibility to use the right one at the right time, and that’s why we’re building Galaxy AI as a platform, with multiple AI agents working together to deliver the most seamless experience,” he added.

Building on the foundation established with the Galaxy S26 series, the Galaxy Z8 series and One UI 9 will provide an enhanced agentic AI experience through deeper system-level integration and more intuitive user controls. With multiple agents working seamlessly across apps, services, and device features, users will enjoy greater flexibility and choices for how they interact with AI.

Looking ahead, Won-Joon Choi shares that Samsung’s foldable portfolio is evolving to meet more lifestyles and needs. “Since we launched this category in 2019, we’ve studied closely how consumers interact with their foldables. Our broader, more diverse portfolio lets us better meet each user’s needs, and we are excited about what that will bring to Southeast Asia and Oceania,” he said. The Galaxy Z8 series will give users more ways to experience AI across productivity, content, creation and self-expression.

Through this 8th generation of foldables, Samsung is moving the category into its next chapter, one where foldables are no longer a niche choice, but a mainstream mobile experience that more consumers can confidently choose as part of their everyday lives.

As consumers in the region await the arrival of the new line-up, Galaxy Z8 Series will be available in Australia on 14 August.

Samsung recently unveiled its latest Galaxy S series lineup: Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 — delivering the ultimate flagship experience for every kind of user.

But mobile devices are not one-size-fits-all. That’s why each device in the lineup is thoughtfully engineered to suit different preferences and lifestyles. Beyond the powerhouse Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 deliver premium Galaxy experiences in a more compact form factor, featuring reliable battery life, advanced camera capabilities and the same sleek colour options as Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Portability Without Compromise

Galaxy S26 delivers the most compact experience of the lineup, bringing flagship performance into a form that feels seamless and light. Galaxy S26+ builds on that experience with a slightly larger display and Fast Wired Charging[1]. Whether streaming, scrolling or creating, both devices are built to keep pace with everyday life. With sleek designs, strong battery life, and comfortable one-handed use, Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ help users stay focused on the moments around them — not the device in their hand.

Effortlessly Turn Moments Into Memories

Even with their slim designs, Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ deliver advanced, AI-powered experiences to help users capture everyday moments more confidently and creatively. Across the lineup, the upgraded Photo Assist[2] makes editing more intuitive by allowing users to simply describe edits in their own words — from transforming a daytime scene into nighttime to restoring missing parts of an object. Audio Eraser[3] helps reduce distracting background noise and enhance speech for clearer playback, while Auto Framing automatically keeps subjects centred and in focus during video recording. Document Scan further streamlines everyday productivity, helping users stay focused on what matters instead of the scanning process itself.[4] And in Gallery, Galaxy AI[5] automatically organises screenshots into different categories — such as coupons, chats, boarding passes, QR codes and more — making it easy for users to instantly find what they need.

When it comes to capturing the moment, enhanced Nightography Video[6] helps users preserve nighttime memories with accuracy. Upgraded Super Steady[7] capabilities make it easier to record clearer, more stable content, whether filming a view out of a car window on a road trip or capturing a sunrise on a morning jog. The Galaxy S26 lineup delivers Samsung’s best end-to-end camera experience, making it more seamless than ever to capture, edit and share the memories that matter most.

A Unified Flagship Design

Beyond performance and portability, the Galaxy S26 lineup brings a more unified flagship experience to life. With a consistent form factor and shared colour palette across the family, each model feels truly connected while giving users the flexibility to choose the device that best fits their lifestyle.

Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are made for users who want the full Galaxy S26 series experience in a slimmer form factor. With intelligent features, reliable performance and sleek design, they offer a more approachable way to experience flagship innovation, thoughtfully built around users’ personal needs.

“Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ were designed for users who want a premium flagship experience in a form that better fits their everyday needs,” said Jiyoung Lee, Corporate VP and Head of Group, MX Design at Samsung Electronics. “With a slimmer, lighter design and the same look and feel as Galaxy S26 Ultra, these devices offer users a more compact way to experience flagship innovation every day.”

[1] Wired charging compatible with QC2.0 and AFCPD.

Audio Eraser[1] on Galaxy devices reduces unnecessary noise in videos and amplifies desired sounds, enabling a more immersive viewing experience. First

Audio Eraser[1] on Galaxy devices reduces unnecessary noise in videos and amplifies desired sounds, enabling a more immersive viewing experience. First introduced for editing saved content on the Galaxy S25 series, the feature has evolved significantly over the generations. Audio Eraser expanded to support playback adjustments within native apps — such as Gallery and Voice Recorder — on Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7.

Now, with the Galaxy S26 series,[2] it has reached new heights by supporting real-time audio control on content streamed across various platforms. In this article, we’ll dive deeper into these advancements.

From Fix it Later to Filter it Now

Starting with the Galaxy S26 series, Audio Eraser has evolved into a live audio experience. It enables real-time sound separation and optimisation across voices, music and background noise, not only for recorded content but also for over-the-top (OTT) or social media content you are watching. This advancement shifts the focus from post-recording edits to real-time audio management.

By integrating an AI sound engine with advanced sound separation technology, the Galaxy S26 series allows you to instantly adjust and control sound as it occurs. This ensures a clear, immersive listening experience across various streaming platforms by effectively neutralising distracting background noise.

The video below shows how the Galaxy S26 series keeps the sounds you want to hear clear, even in noisy environments.

▲Comparison of interview audio before and after using Audio Eraser on the Galaxy S26 series.

Seamless Access, Total Control

You can easily adjust noise and reduce distractions directly from the Quick panel without needing to rewind or replay content. While the video is playing, simply swipe down from the top right of the screen and tap the Audio Eraser icon to start filtering the sound right away.

Once activated, the feature offers advanced controls for a more professional touch. You can adjust the “Strength” slider to fine-tune noise reduction and enable “Voice Focus” to hear clear dialogue in the video.

With the Galaxy S26 series, you can enjoy tailored sound quality in real-time, regardless of the content you’re watching.

▲ Access Audio Eraser via the Quick panel on the Galaxy S26 series, with controls to adjust “Strength” and enable “Voice focus.”[3]

Audio Eraser is no longer limited to reducing noise. It now allows you to easily design your sound in real time. Enjoy the more personalised and comfortable listening experience with the Galaxy S26 series.

[1] Audio Eraser supports adjusting noise from media playing through the Quick panel for select apps on the Galaxy S26 series. The level of support depends on the model and OS version. Results may vary by video depending on how sounds are present. Samsung Account login is required. Certain types of sound, such as voices, music and noise, can be detected. Actual sound detection may vary depending on the audio source and video conditions. Accuracy of results is not guaranteed.

[2] The Galaxy S26 series includes Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra.

New technologies often arrive with great fanfare, but the innovations that truly redefine our lives are those that eventually fade seamlessly into the

New technologies often arrive with great fanfare, but the innovations that truly redefine our lives are those that eventually fade seamlessly into the background. We have reached a point in civilisation where the real test of technology is no longer whether we can explain how it works, but whether it works so easily, reliably, and intuitively that it requires no conscious effort from us at all.

At CES 2026, we shared a vision to unify intelligence across our entire ecosystem. We are committed to integrating AI into our new mobile devices and 4K and higher resolution TVs, alongside of our home appliance line-up globally[1]. Importantly, these are meant to function not just as “smart” gadgets, but also companions designed to understand context and routines, meeting people exactly where they are and quietly enabling what matters most to their unique lifestyles.

AI Companions That Anticipate

For decades, the burden has been on the user to learn how to navigate technology. But today, our latest devices are better able to understand user habits and preferences than ever before, addressing their needs and navigating our world at the same time. Soon, we will no longer ask “How does this feature work?”, as we will already live in a reality where your devices will more easily anticipate what you need.

Our latest TVs, for instance, have evolved. Equipped with Vision AI, these devices analyse content, user preferences, and the viewing environment in real-time, automatically optimising picture and sound to deliver the best possible experience, without needing any manual adjustments.[2]

Similarly, our home appliances are transitioning from tools to true AI companions. By mastering automated routines, they reduce the mental load of household chores while holistically managing the unique aspects of routines around the home.

The next stage of this evolution will be reflected in our upcoming Galaxy S Series line-up. Since launching our first AI enabled smartphone phone in 2024, we have led a paradigm shift from touch-based to multi-modal interactions, and we now aim to drive progress from app-centred usage to agent-centred experiences which reduces the number of steps needed to get things done, allowing intelligence to support tasks more naturally. We are at the cusp of the next phase: mobile devices that will no longer just be portals to information; they will be central AI hubs that proactively manage the complexities of daily life with unprecedented personalisation and ease.

Privacy and Security as a Foundation

This vision that we have of ambient technology cannot work without absolute trust. As AI becomes more personal, contextual, and deeply embedded in everyday routines, protecting privacy is no longer optional. If a user is concerned about the integrity and safety of their data, technology ends up becoming a source of stress rather than peace. To that end, we are building an ecosystem where privacy is not a setting you have to search for, but the default state.

Our ambition is for AI to feel as trustworthy as it is powerful. We want our users to have total confidence that their data, choices, and boundaries are respected, even as their experiences become more intelligent and connected. This is why Samsung Knox remains the bedrock of our security ecosystem, delivering multi-layered, hardware-backed protection that can help provide additional safeguards from your phone to your compatible refrigerator.

AI personalisation happens directly on the device wherever possible, keeping personal context local so intelligent experiences do not come at the expense of privacy. And because trust requires more than strong safeguards behind the scenes, we aim to make that protection visible and easy to understand, giving users clear insight into what’s protected and the confidence to stay in control as AI becomes a natural part of daily life.

In addition to these comprehensive safeguards, we will soon introduce a new standard for privacy with our latest mobile innovations. After more than five years of development and rigorous testing, this new layer of privacy brings together hardware and software to shield your phone from shoulder surfing wherever you go. With multiple settings for adjusting visibility, users can customise the level of privacy protection according to their needs and preferences.

Innovation for Every Lifestyle

Our commitment remains focused on developing purposeful and innovative solutions that can be tailored to meet the needs of varied lifestyles. Looking ahead, consumers can soon experience technology and features that do more than just simplify tasks; they will effortlessly level up creativity with advanced camera and editing capabilities, and securely make life easier across how we live, work, and play.

This month, we are not just launching a new Galaxy S Series; we are welcoming a new era of intelligence that is as powerful as it is easy and effortless. We invite you to stay tuned for the reveal of what is to come.

Galaxy S26 Ultra: Where Innovation Leads

Galaxy S26 Ultra in Cobalt Violet

Galaxy S26 Ultra brings together Samsung’s most advanced innovation in a single device – powerful performance, an industry-leading camera system, enhanced intuitive Galaxy AI and the Galaxy’s first mobile phone with a built-in Privacy Display[2].

Privacy Display, which has drawn widespread praise since its unveiling, is a breakthrough in display technology that fundamentally changes how privacy can be protected on a phone at a pixel level. Designed for everyday situations, hardware and software are working as one to protect privacy without compromising everyday viewing experiences.

Built for all-day performance, Galaxy S26 Ultra delivers the most powerful performance on a Galaxy S series yet, powered by a customised mobile processor — Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy[3] — with significant gains[4] across the CPU, GPU and NPU to support faster, smoother experiences that keep up throughout the day.

Galaxy S26 Ultra also features Samsung’s most intuitive and user-friendly AI experience to date. Features like Now Nudge[5] provide proactive and relevant context-aware suggestions, while Now Brief[6] surfaces timely reminders for important events. A choice of agents[7] also help users to complete tasks easier with a single button press or voice prompt.

Galaxy S26 Ultra builds on Samsung’s industry-leading camera system, seamlessly integrating capture, editing and sharing into one intuitive workflow. Nightography video,[8] keeps footage vibrant even in low light, and Super Steady, [9] which comes with a new horizontal lock option for greater stability, even during dynamic movement. Editing is just as easy and straight forward. With the upgraded Photo Assist,[10] users can refine images and express their creativity by simply describing what they want in their own words, while Creative Studio[11] empowers users to easily turn their ideas into polished visuals — from stickers and invitations to personalised wallpapers.

Galaxy Buds4 series: Superior Hi-Fi Sound with Computationally Designed Fit

Powerful hardware and software innovations on the Buds4 Pro such as a wider woofer and an enhanced Adaptive Equalizer and Active Noise Cancellation[13] produce rich full-spectrum sound true to the original recording. With the integration of several AI agents[14] and intuitive hands-free controls, the Buds4 series becomes a natural companion to Galaxy S26, extending everyday experiences beyond the phone.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the Galaxy S26 series, powered by the most intuitive, proactive and adaptive Galaxy AI[1] experiences yet and designed to simplify the tasks people do on their phones every day. From managing plans and finding information to capturing and refining content, Galaxy S26 reduces the effort and number of steps required to get things done. As Samsung’s third-generation AI phones, Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra handle complex tasks in the background, allowing users to focus on results rather than how the technology works.

The Galaxy S26 series was engineered with Samsung’s most advanced capabilities working together as one: incredible performance, an industry-leading camera system and Galaxy AI. This provides a strong foundation that gives Galaxy S26 users the confidence to depend on their phone throughout the day.

Building on Samsung’s decades of innovation in display technology, Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces the Galaxy’s first built-in Privacy Display for mobile phones to unlock a new class of display experiences and reinforce Samsung’s commitment to privacy at a pixel level[2]. Galaxy S26 Ultra also delivers a customised chipset and upgraded thermal management that enable faster and more powerful AI — all wrapped up in the slimmest Ultra yet.

Together, these choices allow the Galaxy S26 series to deliver the most powerful Galaxy experience yet.

“We believe AI should be something people can depend on every day, designed to work consistently for everyone and without the need for expertise,” said TM Roh, Chief Executive Officer, President, and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “With the Galaxy S26 series, we focused on making AI feel effortless, working quietly in the background so people can focus on what matters.”

Powerful Performance Designed Around Everyday Use

Engineered for all-day performance, the Galaxy S26 series is built on the most powerful hardware ever on a Galaxy S series. Across the line-up, the Galaxy S26 series is engineered for AI performance, power efficiency and thermal management, ensuring demanding tasks run smoothly and consistently, so users can rely on their device when it matters.

On Galaxy S26 Ultra, a customised mobile processor — Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy[3] — delivers the best performance ever in its class with significant gains across CPU, GPU, and NPU to support faster, smoother experiences that keep up throughout the day.

A CPU performance increase[4] means Galaxy S26 Ultra responds more quickly and handle complex workloads intelligently, even when multiple tasks are running at once. An improvement in NPU performance powers always-on Galaxy AI features that run seamlessly, allowing users to move between tasks without lag or interruption. A boost in GPU performance delivers richer visuals and more fluid gameplay.

To sustain this level of performance, Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces a redesigned Vapour Chamber with thermal interface material positioned along the sides of the processor, allowing heat to spread more efficiently across a larger surface area. This improves[5] heat dissipation to keep the device cool and consistent, even during demanding activities such as gaming, multitasking and video capture. To support all-day use[6], Galaxy S26 Ultra also brings Super-Fast Charging 3.0, allowing for a faster charge.[7].

Embedded into the processor, Samsung’s proprietary technologies enhance visual performance. ProScaler[8] improves image scaling so photos and videos appear richer and clearer at a glance by sharpening text and fine detail while smoothing textures. Additionally, Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) delivers more subtle and lifelike colours thanks to image processing.

Taken together, these advancements deliver dependable all-day performance, making every action feel effortless.

Galaxy’s Industry-Leading Camera System

The Galaxy S26 series brings the same focus on intuitive interaction to creativity and productivity, delivered through the best Galaxy camera system. With an approach that integrates capturing stunning photos and videos, editing and sharing into a single, seamless experience, creativity feels more natural and accessible even without professional tools or technical knowledge.

On Galaxy S26 Ultra, wider camera apertures[9] allow more light to reach the sensor, delivering clearer photos with richer details in low-light conditions, even when zoomed in. Enhanced Nightography Video[10] keeps footage clearer and more vibrant even in dim scenes, whether capturing concerts indoors or recording moments around a campfire after sunset. Video capture is further enhanced with upgraded Super Steady[11] capabilities, which add a horizontal lock option for greater stability and to make consistent framing easier to achieve, even with bumpy trails or fast-paced activities. Galaxy S26 Ultra is the first Galaxy device to support APV, a new professional-grade video codec designed to deliver efficient compression for high-quality production workflows. Developed with advanced creators in mind, it can help maintain high video quality even through repeated edits.[12]

Improvements to the AI ISP[13] now extend to the selfie camera, capturing more natural skin tones and finer detail in mixed lighting.

Editing photos and videos is just as easy and straightforward, with AI-powered tools built into familiar workflows so users can make changes quickly and unlock their creativity without design expertise.

With the upgraded Photo Assist[14] suite, users can simply describe what they want to change in their own words. Changing the scene from day to night is just a matter of asking. It can also add to images and restore missing parts of objects like a bite taken out of a cake. Personal details, such as a spill on clothing, can also be cleaned up with Galaxy AI’s new ability to change outfits in photos. Edits can now be made continuously, reviewed step by step, and easily adjusted or undone along the way, helping to make the process feel fluid rather than final.

Creative Studio[15] builds on this simplicity by bringing creation and customisation into one integrated space, making it easier to act on ideas when inspiration strikes. Starting from a sketch, photo or prompt, users can quickly turn ideas into polished visuals — from stickers and invitations to personalised wallpapers — and refine or share them without switching tools or interrupting creative flow.

The Galaxy S26 series also simplifies frequent visual tasks with AI-powered tools like the Document Scan, which removes distortions and distractions such as creases or fingers to deliver clean scans instantly. Multiple images can be organised automatically into a single PDF, making it easy to digitise receipts, forms or notes.

An Intuitive Galaxy AI Experience

The Galaxy S26 series is designed to make frequently used experiences feel straightforward and user-friendly, with Galaxy AI reducing the steps between intent and action. It works more proactively and seamlessly on the user’s behalf based on context, surfacing the right support at the right moment and automating tasks with minimal manual input. As the technology fades and handles tasks in the background, users can focus on the results.

With Now Nudge[16], timely and relevant suggestions help users stay in the flow without being distracted. If a friend asks for photos from a recent trip, Galaxy S26 automatically suggests photos from the Gallery, removing the need to search through albums or switch between apps. When receiving a message about a meeting, Galaxy S26 can recognise context from a conversation, integrating the Calendar and Gallery apps to provide relevant recommendations.

On the Galaxy S26 series, Now Brief[17] has become more proactive and personalised[18]. It surfaces timely reminders for important events – from reservations to travel, based on personal context, helping users stay organised throughout the day.

Searching for information is also easier than ever. Circle to Search with Google[19] on the Galaxy S26 series has been upgraded with enhanced multi-object recognition, so users can now explore more deeply on multiple parts of an image at once. If users spot a look they love, the feature also identifies everything from the jacket to the shoes, all in one search.

Galaxy S26 series features an upgraded Bixby[20] as a conversational device agent, making it more intuitive and easier than ever to interact with Galaxy devices. Users can navigate their devices and adjust settings using natural language, without the need for exact terminology or commands. Alongside Bixby, Galaxy S26 series integrates a choice of agents, including Gemini and Perplexity. Once set up, tasks can be completed with a single button press or voice prompt. Galaxy S26 can also handle multi-step tasks in the background, streamlining the process on the user’s behalf. For example, with Gemini, booking a taxi[21] can be as simple as asking, reviewing the details and tapping confirm. These agents support tasks such as searching, and carrying out complex tasks seamlessly across apps through natural interaction.

Together, these proactive, personalised and adaptive experiences lay the foundation for more agentic AI experiences — setting the stage for Galaxy devices to become trusted companions that understand and anticipate user needs.

Layers of Protection in the Age of AI

As mobile experiences become more personalised thanks to AI, protecting user privacy becomes even more critical. Samsung builds added protection into the Galaxy S26, keeping personal data safe while giving users a clear sense of how their information is used.

Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces privacy at the pixel level with the Galaxy’s first built-in Privacy Display[22], a breakthrough in display technology that fundamentally changes how privacy can be protected on a phone. Designed for everyday situations like transit, cafés and shared environments, Privacy Display goes beyond anything previously available on Galaxy devices — hardware and software working as one to protect privacy without compromising the viewing experience.

By controlling how pixels disperse light, the display keeps content clear, bright and comfortable for the user in everyday use, while limiting what others can see. Unlike traditional stick-on privacy films, Galaxy’s integrated Privacy Display preserves full viewing quality from all directions when off, and limits visibility for others from side viewing angles when activated, even when switching between portrait and landscape orientation.

Users can customise when it turns on — such as when entering PINs, patterns and passwords or opening selected apps — and adjust privacy levels depending on the situation. Partial Screen Privacy intelligently limits visibility for notification pop-ups, while Maximum Privacy Protection further obscures side views for added discretion, all with minimal impact on power or usability.

The Galaxy S26 series also brings smarter software safeguards that work quietly in the background. AI-powered Call Screening[23] identifies unknown callers and summarises intent, making it easier to safely manage calls. Privacy Alerts use machine learning to proactively notify users in real time when apps with device admin privileges unnecessarily attempt to access sensitive data, such as precise location, call logs or contacts. These alerts help users quickly understand when apps are seeking deeper access, so they can manage permissions with greater clarity and control.

Private Album, built into Gallery, lets users easily hide selected photos and videos without creating a separate folder or signing into a Samsung Account. To stay ahead of emerging threats, Galaxy S26 also extends Samsung’s innovation in post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to critical system processes, including software verification and firmware protection, strengthening device integrity for the future.

New updates to Knox Matrix strengthens protection across connected Galaxy devices, adding PQC-enabled end-to-end encryption for direct transfers like eSIM migrations and clearer visibility into firmware update status across the ecosystem through Security Status of Your Devices.

These experiences are supported by Samsung Knox, the security platform that helps protect Galaxy devices. For on-device Galaxy AI, Personal Data Engine (PDE) enables context-aware, personalised AI experiences. To keep this process safe, Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP) encrypts each app’s data, while Knox Vault[24] adds a physical layer of protection that isolates sensitive data inside its own hardware. Together with settings that let users choose how AI features operate, Galaxy S26 combines hardware and software to deliver a comprehensive, system-wide approach designed to help keep personal data protected.

These updates build on Galaxy’s existing security and privacy portfolio which includes Auto Blocker, Theft Protection, Private Sharing, Secure Wi-Fi and more. These layers of protection are designed to give users greater transparency, choice and control through Samsung’s continued mobile security innovation in the age of AI. And with seven years of security updates, Galaxy S26 helps keep these layers resilient over time — supporting longer, more confident use well into the years ahead.

Galaxy S26’s ease of use continues even when the phone is out of reach. The new Galaxy Buds4 series is a natural companion to Galaxy S26, extending everyday experiences beyond the phone while delivering rich and immersive hi-fi sound. When Galaxy S26 is paired with Galaxy Buds4, interactions can continue naturally in moments when using hands isn’t practical. Users can activate AI agents[25] with their voices, manage calls through simple Head Gestures[26] on Buds4 Pro, and stay connected without breaking their flow.

Availability

Pre-order for Galaxy S26 Ultra, S26+ and S26 will be available starting from February 26 and general availability will be available March 11 in Australia. The Galaxy S26 series features a unified design language across all models, with shared colour options including Cobalt Violet, White, Black and Sky Blue[27] alongside the Samsung.com/au exclusive[28] Pink Gold and Silver Shadow.

Turning a photo from day to night in seconds. Restoring missing parts of objects in images, like a bite taken out of a cake. Seamlessly merging multiple photos into one cohesive image. These creative capabilities once required professional skills or hours of editing. Now they’re possible in minutes, directly from your Galaxy phone, simply by asking in your own words.

That’s the next evolution of the Galaxy camera: an end-to-end experience with the brightest Galaxy camera system ever as the foundation.

Mobile cameras are moving beyond photo capture, as the latest Galaxy AI[1] unifies advanced creative capabilities for photo capturing, editing and sharing in one intuitive platform. The result is a seamless experience and a more fluid creative process — making it easier to switch between apps or navigate complex tools, so creativity feels faster, simpler and more natural.

At the core of this evolution is the belief that creativity should not be limited by technical skill or experience. From shooting to editing, the Galaxy camera has quietly redefined what’s possible. Now anyone can create cinematic videos, or capture richly detailed photos, even in low light. And with natural, multimodal input, editing becomes as simple as describing what you have in mind in just a few words.
