Samsung Australia has today announced that Samsung Electronics’ Glare-Free certified TV display technology has won the prestigious 2025 Canstar Blue Innovation Excellence Award in Home Entertainment. In achieving this accolade, Canstar Blue judges deemed Samsung’s Glare-Free certified technology a “game-changing breakthrough” with the potential to improve the everyday lives of customers.

Unleashed across global markets in 2024 exclusively on the Samsung OLED S95D TV, Samsung’s Glare-Free certified technology uses an embossed coating to scatter ambient light in various angles and directions across wider diffusion patterns[1]. The result reduces on-screen reflections while maintaining the incredible brightness, object sharpness, and colour accuracy Samsung OLED TVs are renown for.

Independently verified by leading applied safety science company, UL Solutions, the OLED S95D became the world’s first certified Glare-Free OLED television, capable of effectively reducing reflection and discomfort glare.[1]

According to Canstar Blue judges: “Samsung’s OLED Glare-Free technology, validated by UL certification, stands out for its innovation, making OLED TVs far more versatile for use in bright environments. The Samsung S95 was the first model to showcase this feature, highlighting advancements in OLED TV technology and reinforcing its position as a noteworthy option in the market. Specifically designed for bright Australian homes, it minimises screen glare while preserving brightness, colour accuracy, and picture detail.”

Due to the technology’s incredible effectiveness, Samsung has expanded the application of its Glare-Free certified technology across its wider Neo QLED and QLED TV and monitors line-ups, offering enhanced viewing experiences to more Australians who experience their Samsung displays in rooms with abundant natural light.

Samsung’s 2025 Glare-Free TV line-up includes the Samsung OLED S95F, Neo QLED 8K QN990F, Neo QLED 8K QN900F, Neo QLED QN90F, The Frame Pro, and The Frame[1]. New research reveals Samsung smart devices make everyday living wonder-filled

The nationwide roll-out of Samsung’s new AI-powered home appliances and audio visual solutions coincides with the launch of new research which reveals over a third (37%) of Australians believe smart devices bring wonder to their homes alongside art (36%) and beautiful home décor (46%)[5].

For half of Australians (50%), wonder emerges with the convenience of operating devices remotely, while for 44 per-cent of single parents with kids, it’s the potential to reduce energy bills via their smart devices[6].

With an average of 24 connected devices in the average Australian home[7], two-thirds (67%) believe AI-assisted devices could further help to reduce the daily mental load and give them time back to relax.[8] In fact, two thirds (68%) of Australians admit to thinking about chores up to four times a day[9], when they’d rather be relaxing in front of the TV (83%), listening to music (61%), or spending time with loved ones (60%)[10].

Samsung’s connected home ecosystem of Home Appliances bring ease, care and savings to Australians

Building on 50 years of home appliance innovation excellence, Samsung has launched AI Home as a transformative step forward to help Australians unlock ease of use, savings, and new ways to care for themselves and others from home. Using on-device processing with Edge AI, appliances powered by AI Home can adapt to individual routines, and deliver optimised home experiences to suit a diverse range of lifestyles.

In 2025, Samsung has integrated AI Home displays into more Bespoke AI appliances including the 809L Bespoke AI Family Hub + and 615L AI Home Side By Side Refrigerator. The AI Home screen extends the core purpose of these refrigerators by transforming them into central smart home control hubs with the ability to connect, monitor and control compatible third party devices connected through SmartThings’ Map View feature[12]. Via the AI Home screens, Australians can also use features like the refrigerators’ Daily Board to receive personalised information and better manage their day.

Complimenting the performance of 400Ws of suction power making the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra the world’s most powerful cordless stick vacuum[13] is an LED digital display. With a quick glance, Australians can see the suction level, remaining battery time, and alerts to blockages in the brush for easy maintenance[14]. With SmartThings compatibility, Australians can also manage the vacuum settings from their compatible smart phone device[15] and receive customised maintenance guides thanks to the Bespoke AI Jet Stick vacuum’s smart-self diagnosis feature.

Samsung has also applied enhanced Knox security to appliances across the line-up to enable Australians to enjoy their AI Home experience with peace of mind. In 2025, Knox Matrix’s Trust Chain feature has been applied to the 809L Bespoke AI Family Hub + and 615L AI Home Side By Side Refrigerator[16], enabling Australians to continuously monitor products’ security status in real time through a dashboard. Knox Vault has also been applied to these appliances for the first time, storing user information such as passwords and authentication information in a separate hardware chip to ensure protection.

Samsung’s 2025 range of AI-Powered appliances are complete with Smart Forward which provides continuous software updates including new features to enhance the consumer[17]. Neo QLED: 4K AI Technology delivers crisp clarity in every scene

Samsung’s 2025 Neo QLED 4K line-up is the most expansive yet, including four model series – QN90F[33] (98”, 85”, 75”, 65”), QN85F (85”, 75”, 65”, 55), QN80F (100”) and QN70F (85”, 75”, 65”, 55”) – all featuring Quantum Matrix Mini LEDs for stellar brightness and accurate colour across every scene.

The flagship QN90F features an upgraded NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor[34], which ensures that content looks its best – improving picture and sound as it plays[35]. Dominance in the Premium and Ultra-Large TV Segments

Samsung solidified its leadership in the high-end TV market, particularly in the premium ($2,500+) and ultra-large (75-inch and above) segments:

• Premium ($2,500+) TVs – Samsung captured a 49.6% market share, accounting for nearly half of the global premium TV market.
• 75-inch and above – Samsung led the ultra-large category with a 28.7% market share.

QLED and OLED TV Success

Samsung Electronics Australia has today announced the local availability of its 2022 range of soundbars featuring a world-first Wireless True Dolby Atmos experience.[1] The line-up of ten soundbar models have a new design and technical improvements that deliver an immersive and captivating sound quality.

Innovations in Sustainability

Samsung’s eco packaging solution will be brought to all TV products to responsibly manage waste created from product purchases by allowing customers to repurpose TV boxes into small-scale pieces of furniture.

The award-winning sustainable packaging design extends to the solar cell-powered remote control, which is predicted to assist in preventing the wastage of around 99 million AAA batteries globally over the course of seven years of TV usage4.

“We will also see the introduction of a sustainable TV remote, partially made out of recycled plastic that will charge via solar or indoor lighting to assist with reduced disposable battery waste.5” explains Jeremy Senior.

Samsung’s 2021 TV range will be available through various retail outlets nationally from Friday 5 March.
