Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., global display leader and provider of the Official Art TV of Art Basel, today announced the launch of the Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 Collection. The curated digital exhibition will be available exclusively on Samsung Art Store1 and features 20 contemporary artists showcased at Art Basel Hong Kong, being held March 27-29 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre2. At a dedicated booth, Samsung will demonstrate how its soon to be released Micro RGB Series, select OLED3 models, and The Frame Pro Series display each artwork in stunning detail.

“Building on six years of collaboration with Art Basel, this collection represents the calibre of art Samsung Art Store offers, transforming homes into personal galleries suited to any taste,” said Bongjun Ko, Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Our advanced display technology brings priceless artworks into homes with stunning realism, so that anyone can become a collector.”

Introducing the Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 Collection

The Art Basel Hong Kong 2026 Collection features 25 artworks from 20 emerging and established artists represented by eight prestigious galleries: Bank, CLC Gallery Venture, Don Gallery, Tomio Koyama, Pearl Lam, Lin & Lin, Rossi & Rossi and Vacancy.

The carefully curated collection reflects the cultural dynamism and diverse viewpoints that define Hong Kong’s contemporary art scene. Highlights include:

Chinese artistic heritage and innovation, represented through works by 11 Chinese artists spanning six decades of contemporary practice.

Michael Najjar, “Europa” (2016). Najjar is a German painter and trained astronaut who is scheduled to participate in an upcoming spaceflight aboard Virgin Galactic’s VSS Unity.

Sun Yitian, “Ken” (2023). Yitian’s work has been featured in major international collections, including a collaboration with Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection.

Ha Bik Chuen, “Wheatfield A” (1994) and “Untitled” (1995). Chuen was a self-taught contemporary artist whose extensive archive spanning 500 boxes is being digitally catalogued by the Asia Art Archive for scholarly access.

“Art Basel Hong Kong is always looking for ways to broaden how people experience art,” said Angelle Siyang-Le, Director of Art Basel Hong Kong. “Our partnership with Samsung helps bring art into our homes in a way that feels both accessible and truly high quality. It’s not about replacing the gallery – it’s about giving more people the chance to live with great art every day.”

Celebrating Cultural Legacy: The Lee Kun-Hee Collection

During Art Basel Hong Kong 2026, Samsung will also present a curated selection of 20 works from the Lee Kun-Hee Collection on Samsung Art Store, in partnership with the National Museum of Korea. Recognised as one of Korea’s most significant private art collections, the works from the late Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-Hee’s renowned art collection reflect a long-standing commitment to cultural preservation and public access.

These treasured pieces – including “Sun, Moon, and Five Peaks,” “Ten Symbols of Longevity” and “Scholar’s Accoutrements in a Bookcase” – have shaped artistic discourse across generations and continue to resonate with contemporary art circles.

The selection will be available on Samsung Art Store until January 20274, offering global audiences’ digital access to important works of Korean artistic heritage.

Samsung Australia has today unveiled its most expansive range of OLED TVs yet, bringing three series of Samsung OLED TVs – S95H, S90H, and S85H – in more sizes with brighter panels, more intelligent features, and expanded Glare-Free displays. Optimised for Australian homes and nurturing Australians’ insatiable appetite for Samsung Art TVs; Samsung’s 2026 OLED S95H comes down under as the world’s first OLED TV with access to over 5,000 pieces of the world’s best art via Samsung Art Store[1].

Elevated to bring flagship OLED performance to more Australians, Samsung’s OLED S90H joins the OLED S95H in featuring certified Glare-Free technology[2] and ultra-fast 165Hz variable refresh rate, helping deliver smoother gaming and improved viewing in bright spaces[3].

Ushering in a new era of personalised intelligent entertainment experiences, Samsung’s OLED S95H, S90H, and S85H TVs are each optimised with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion[4], a conversational AI experience designed specifically for the TV screen, enabling Australians to interact naturally with their TV while unlocking personalised recommendations and enhanced entertainment experiences.

“In 2026, Samsung has diversified the design of its OLED TV range while bringing more of our flagship innovations across the line-up and expanding size options. As a result, we have made premium OLED performance accessible to more Australians while ensuring these is a size, Glare-Free option,[5] and design suited to virtually every space in the home,” said Simon Howe, Director of AV, Samsung Australia.

“Until now, Australians who love the realistic picture quality and Glare-Free technology [6]of the Samsung OLED S95 Series have had to choose between performance and lifestyle benefits like access to Samsung Art Store or a wall-flush, framed design. This year, Samsung has brought these experiences together in the OLED S95H series, combining breathtaking OLED picture quality, powerful AI processing and thoughtful design innovations. Now Australians can further personalise their OLED TV experiences, whether they’re watching movies, gaming with friends, or displaying their favourite art.”

The S95H series is available in 55″, 65″, 77″ and 83″ sizes, while the S90H series is offered in 42″, 48″, 55″, 65″, 77″ and 83″. The S85H lineup expands to 48″, 55″, 65″, 77″ and 83″.

Both the OLED S95H and S90H feature deep blacks with certified Real Black performance[7] and PANTONE Validated® life-like colour[8], ensuring deep blacks and accurate colour reproduction for authentic and immersive viewing experiences. With Samsung Glare-Free sales doubling in 2025[9], Samsung has extended its certified Glare-Free technology[10] to the OLED S90H to enable the TV to benefit from diffused light, reducing reflections, stunning contrast and keeping every scene looking rich, vibrant, and true to life, even in bright rooms.

Samsung’s OLED S95H features a FloatLayer Design and Samsung Art Store.

Distinctive Designs for Every Living Space

New to 2026, Samsung has introduced three unique design approaches across its OLED series, enabling Australians to choose an OLED TV that best matches their personal style.

As the first OLED Art Store[11] TV, the OLED S95H features a FloatLayer Design which allows the TV to mount flush against the wall, creating a clean look that appears to float effortlessly in place. Its refined metal back-plated bezel is designed to beautifully elevate any interior, while being ready to support a Wireless One Connect Box that can deliver an optional streamlined, clutter‑free setup with an operational range of 4K transmission of 165Hz within up to a 10m range[12].

The Samsung OLED S90H’s Laser-Slim Design is comparatively discreet, with an ultra-thin profile making the TV look beautiful from every angle. Further, the OLED S85H features a Contour Design that makes the TV’s 35mm thin body look sleek from top to bottom. Its smooth flowing silhouette is reminiscent of a wave, and makes an elegant addition to any home.

Samsung OLED S95H is the first Samsung OLED TV to feature Samsung Art Store. Image simulated for illustrative purposes. Cables now shown.

New Entertainment Companion Experiences

The 2026 OLED TV range are powered by Samsung’s most advanced AI-driven processors, bringing Vision AI Companion[13] to Australian living rooms for the first time. Designed specifically for shared TV experiences, Vision AI Companion[14] enables users to interact with their TV through natural conversations, from discovering new content to receiving personalised recommendations and helpful suggestions.

This year, the OLED S95H and S90H are powered by the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, which uses 128 AI neural networks to analyse content scene-by-scene and intelligently optimise picture and sound in real time. Such AI-powered picture technologies help deliver a consistently premium viewing experience across all content sources. 4K AI Upscaling[15] intelligently reconstructs lower-resolution content to approach 4K quality, while Colour Booster Pro uses AI to analyse each scene and enhance colour expression for richer, more dynamic images[16]. Real Depth Enhancer[17] improves the perception of depth by adjusting contrast in foreground objects, creating a more lifelike viewing experience.

Motion clarity is also enhanced through AI Motion Enhancer Pro[18], which helps reduce blur and improve smoothness during fast-moving scenes such as sports broadcasts. Meanwhile, OLED HDR Pro and OLED HDR+[19] features enhance contrast and brightness to reveal greater detail in both highlights and shadows on the OLED S95H and S90H respectively.

New in 2026, AI Soccer Mode Pro[20] automatically detects live matches and optimises picture and sound for sports viewing. Player detail is sharpened while stadium ambience and commentary are balanced to create a more immersive match experience.

Complementing this is AI Sound Controller[21], which gives viewers greater control over how they hear content. The feature analyses audio in real time and separates dialogue from background effects, allowing users to adjust voice clarity or ambient sound independently to suit what they’re watching.

Built for next-generation gaming

Samsung’s 2026 OLED TVs are also engineered to deliver an ultra-responsive gaming experience.

Both the S95H and S90H support Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, enabling smoother gameplay with reduced motion blur during fast-paced action. With compatibility support for NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, gamers can enjoy tear-free visuals and low-latency performance for more responsive gameplay[22].

Samsung’s AI Gaming Optimiser[23] further enhances the experience by analysing gameplay in real time to detect the genre being played and automatically applying the best settings. This allows players to enjoy optimised visuals and smoother motion without navigating complex menus.

Pictured: Samsung’s OLED S90H. Image simulated for illustrative purposes. Cables not shown.

Immersive sound for a complete experience

Samsung’s OLED TVs are designed to deliver surround sound in addition to life-like visuals to create a fully immersive home cinema experience. With the integration of Q-Symphony technology[24], the OLED S95H, OLED S90H and OLED S85H models utilise Active Voice Amplifier Pro[25] to enhance voice clarity by analysing ambient noise and background sounds within the content. Object Tracking Sound[26] enables the TV utilises strategically positioned speakers to track motion on screen, creating a multi-directional audio experience and helping Australians feel like they are in the heart of the action.

Up to 7 Years of One UI Tizen OS Support delivering Endless Entertainment and Value

Samsung continues to expand the capabilities of its TVs through One UI Tizen OS[27], which supports up to seven years of platform upgrades, giving Australians confidence that their Samsung OLED TV will continue to evolve with new features and services over time.

Each Samsung OLED 2026 TV comes with a wide range of built-in entertainment and lifestyle experiences designed to make the TV the centre of the connected home. Through Samsung TV Plus[28], Australians can access more than 130 free live channels alongside a growing library of on-demand content spanning news, sport and entertainment. Samsung Gaming Hub[29] also provides streamlined access to cloud gaming services, allowing Australian gamers to jump straight into gameplay without the need for a console.

Beyond entertainment, Samsung Daily+ helps bring together apps and services that support everyday activities, while SmartThings integration allows users to monitor and control compatible smart home devices directly from the TV.

New to 2026, Google Photos will also be introduced, enabling Australians to display curated memories and personal photo collections as an ambient background on their TV[30]. This means OLED S95H users can select their own treasured image, choose from a world-class artwork from Samsung Art Store or use Generative Wallpaper[31] to create a bespoke image when the TV is not being watched.

Built-in support for Bixby and Amazon Alexa further enhances convenience, allowing users to search for content, control smart home devices and manage their entertainment through natural voice commands[32]. All the while, Samsung TVs are protected by Samsung Knox[33] security, providing additional peace of mind for OLED owners.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced that its 2025 OLED TV S95F model has been officially certified as a Real Black display by the Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE), a leading electrical engineering certification institute in Germany.[1] By meeting the required standards to be genuinely considered Real Black, Samsung has proven that its OLED technology delivers a true black viewing experience.

The certification validates the OLED display’s crisp, reflection-free images[2] with near-perfect blacks measured below 0.005 nits in dark environments[3], as well as black accuracy in sunlit rooms and even under direct sunlight[4]. The result is crystal-clear visuals with rich, deep blacks in their truest form[5].

“Earning VDE’s Real Black certification is proof of our commitment to taking OLED technology to new heights,” said Hoon Seol, Vice President and Head of CE Division at Samsung Electronics Germany. “We look forward to bringing more customers the opportunity to experience world-class picture quality with the deepest blacks and colour clarity.”

“VDE’s ‘Real Black’ certification is awarded only to displays that excel in our most demanding evaluations,” said Ansgar Hinz, the Chairman and CEO of VDE. “Samsung’s OLED stood out for its ability to maintain rich, accurate blacks across a wide range of lighting environments — from home theaters to brightly lit living rooms. This achievement reflects both technological excellence and a commitment to delivering consistent picture quality in real-world conditions.”

Meeting the Highest Standard for Real Black Validation

The flagship OLED TV series comes equipped with Samsung’s advanced Glare-Free 2.0. VDE’s certification affirms the exceptional performance of this proprietary technology, which preserves the depth and details of the OLED display’s black levels by minimising reflections.

To earn this certification, Samsung’s OLED S95F series was evaluated on how “truly black” the display appears under various viewing conditions, with performance assessed through three rigorous tests:

Ambient light impact in bright rooms: The display was evaluated for the level of distraction caused by light reflections for viewers while watching TV.[6]

Black levels in dark settings: In a dark room test, the display’s black level performance was measured to ensure it met the standard of 0.005 nits or less.[7]

Surface gloss level: Screen surface reflections were measured to determine the amount of glare of Samsung’s Glare-Free Technology.[8]

Exceptional Colour for Gaming and Entertainment

The Real Black-certified OLED series delivers exceptional colour clarity and contrast that brings every detail to life, whether in fast-paced games or cinematic scenes. The advanced OLED Glare-Free technology enhances this experience by preserving rich colours and deep blacks in any lighting conditions so that viewers can enjoy stunning, true-to-life visuals no matter the content.

Samsung has led the global TV market for 19 consecutive years,[9] a position built on its leadership in premium displays and leading-edge innovations in viewing experiences. In addition to the VDE Real Black certification, Samsung’s 2025 OLED TV lineup is the first in the industry to be certified with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and has recently been validated as NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, ensuring seamless performance and smooth gameplay.

Samsung Australia has today announced that Samsung Electronics’ Glare-Free certified TV display technology has won the prestigious 2025 Canstar Blue Innovation Excellence Award in Home Entertainment. In achieving this accolade, Canstar Blue judges deemed Samsung’s Glare-Free certified technology a “game-changing breakthrough” with the potential to improve the everyday lives of customers.

Unleashed across global markets in 2024 exclusively on the Samsung OLED S95D TV, Samsung’s Glare-Free certified technology uses an embossed coating to scatter ambient light in various angles and directions across wider diffusion patterns[1]. The result reduces on-screen reflections while maintaining the incredible brightness, object sharpness, and colour accuracy Samsung OLED TVs are renown for.

Independently verified by leading applied safety science company, UL Solutions, the OLED S95D became the world’s first certified Glare-Free OLED television, capable of effectively reducing reflection and discomfort glare.[1]

According to Canstar Blue judges: “Samsung’s OLED Glare-Free technology, validated by UL certification, stands out for its innovation, making OLED TVs far more versatile for use in bright environments. The Samsung S95 was the first model to showcase this feature, highlighting advancements in OLED TV technology and reinforcing its position as a noteworthy option in the market. Specifically designed for bright Australian homes, it minimises screen glare while preserving brightness, colour accuracy, and picture detail.”

Due to the technology’s incredible effectiveness, Samsung has expanded the application of its Glare-Free certified technology across its wider Neo QLED and QLED TV and monitors line-ups, offering enhanced viewing experiences to more Australians who experience their Samsung displays in rooms with abundant natural light.

Samsung Electronics today announced that its 2025 OLED TV lineup[1] will feature NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, helping to deliver ultra-smooth gameplay and low latency, to meet the needs of gaming enthusiasts worldwide.

With NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, Samsung’s 2025 OLED TVs synchronise the TV’s refresh rate with the GPU’s frame rate, reducing screen tearing and stuttering for a seamless and immersive gaming experience.[2] Paired with Samsung’s Motion Xcelerator technology, which supports refresh rates up to 165Hz[3], gamers can enjoy exceptionally fluid visuals and sharp clarity during fast-paced action scenes.

“With the addition of NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and our most advanced gaming features yet, Samsung’s 2025 OLED TVs help to deliver elite-level performance for even the most competitive players,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Customer Experience Team at Samsung Electronics. “By building on our leadership in display innovation and integrating real-time AI enhancements, we’re redefining what gamers can expect from a TV – on and off the battlefield.”

Samsung’s new 2025 OLED S95F and S90F models also support AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, helping to ensure broad compatibility and adaptive sync performance across a range of GPUs. Additional core gaming features across the OLED lineup include Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to minimise input lag and deliver instant response, and Samsung Gaming Hub[4], which provides instant access to console and cloud-based gaming platforms, including Xbox Game Pass and NVIDIA GeForce NOW.

To further elevate gameplay, the 2025 OLED TVs introduce AI Auto Game Mode, which intelligently analyses game genres and scene content in real time to automatically optimise picture and sound settings—eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Gamers can also take advantage of the Game Bar, a pop-up interface that allows quick access to key settings without exiting the game.

While engineered for elite gaming, Samsung’s OLED TVs also deliver a premium cinematic and connected home experience as well. Features such as AI Upscaling, OLED Glare Free Certified [5] screen technology, and SmartThings[6] integration ensure immersive visuals and effortless control in any environment.

The NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility feature will be available on Samsung’s flagship S95F model and will subsequently roll out to additional models in the 2025 OLED lineup.

Samsung’s Clash of Commuters challenges Fortnite[1] fans to level up and win loot IRL

Samsung’s Gaming Research[2] shows that 48% of Aussie gamers selected smartphones as their most frequent gaming device, with over 55% turning to gaming as a means of relaxation.

Samsung Electronics Australia has today launched Clash of Commuters, a new experience that offers gamers the opportunity to play a uniquely Australian and public transport inspired map in Fortnite Creative[3], featuring national icons from the humble Bin Chicken to a Sydney train.

With 44% of Aussie gamers admitting they game while commuting to pass the time, the Clash of Commuters map enables players to experience an all-new Fortnite Creative island and allows them to defend the very thing that they commonly game on; Australian public transport.

From 2 May to 30 May, players will also have the opportunity to win Samsung swag IRL by participating in the Clash of Commuters competition[4]. Gamers will need to defend an Aussie public bus across 5 checkpoints as it meanders through a dystopian Australian commute, complete with bin chickens, servos and caffeine-starved commuters, for their chance to win. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, with its realistic graphics, lifelike visuals, and Samsung’s most powerful chipset to date, has been designed to meet the high performance demands of gamers. These devices will be hidden throughout the map, with players able to unlock special bonuses if they find them.

The player who completes all five rounds of the Clash of Commuters campaign in the shortest amount of time (The Shortest Haul) will be eligible to win a Samsung gaming pack worth over $8,000, which includes a 55” QN90D NEO QLED TV, 57” Odyssey Neo G95NC Curved Monitor, Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Buds2 Pro. There will also be additional prize packs for the fastest player to complete the campaign on a mobile device (The Ultimate On-The-Go Gamer), the most side quest phones acquired (Seat Scavenger), as well as four winners drawn at random from all completed time submissions (Regular Riders).

Recent research conducted by Samsung Electronics Australia sheds light on the preferences of Aussie gamers, with 48% listing smartphones as the device they game on most frequently, surpassing consoles (26%), desktops and laptops (24%), and other devices (3%). Moreover, for over 55% of Australian gamers, gaming serves as a means of relaxation, with one-third saying they game as a means of de-stressing.

Nathan Rigger, Head of Product & Services Mobile at Samsung Australia, said: “More than ever before, Australians are looking to their smartphones for entertainment and as an escape from the daily grind, and gaming is a great way to tick both of those boxes. With advanced ray-tracing features and a bigger[5] vapour cooling chamber, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is optimised to create a seamless gaming experience, allowing Australians to keep up with their favourite games, regardless if they are at home, or on the go.”

In Melbourne and Sydney, Samsung will be bringing the Clash of Commuters map to life and giving everyday Australians a chance to experience game play on the Galaxy S24 Ultra at interactive pop-up activations. Players and passers-by will be able to explore a post-apocalyptic public transport world and play the new map at Sydney’s Parramatta Square from Saturday 4 May to Wednesday 8 May, before the activation heads over to Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station from Saturday 11 May through Wednesday 15 May.
