Samsung Electronics today announced an exclusive partnership with Activision as the official TV, monitor, soundbar, and Wi-Fi speaker of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, the latest title in one of the world’s largest first-person shooter (FPS) franchises. The collaboration brings Call of Duty together with Samsung’s premium display and connected gaming technologies to give players more ways to experience the title before its official launch.

Call of Duty is a critically acclaimed and award-winning franchise that has become one of gaming’s most recognized intellectual properties. The collaboration marks another step in Samsung’s efforts to expand next-generation gaming experiences across TVs, monitors, soundbars, Wi-Fi speakers, and connected gaming services.

HDR10+ GAMING Brings Greater Detail to Gameplay

Samsung and Call of Duty will integrate HDR10+ GAMING into Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. The technology helps deliver more accurate color and contrast, supporting the immersive visual experience that reflects the creative intent of the developers.

Samsung Gaming Hub Streaming Call of Duty: NEXT

As part of the collaboration, Samsung Gaming Hub users will be able to watch Call of Duty: NEXT live through Samsung Gaming Hub on Aug. 21 at 9 am PST. Ahead of the event, a tune-in banner promoting Call of Duty: NEXT will be featured in the Samsung TV Gaming Hub masthead.

Samsung will also distribute Beta Early Access codes for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 through the Samsung Promotion app. The codes will give selected players an opportunity to experience the Modern Warfare 4 Beta from Aug. 21-25, before the Open Beta begins, starting Aug. 28 through Sep. 1. Hearing loss is incredibly common, yet it remains one of the most overlooked health conditions worldwide. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that globally, more than 1.5 billion people experience some degree of hearing loss — a figure projected to reach 2.5 billion people by 2050. Despite this, many people who could benefit from hearing aids do not use them due to high cost, social stigma or limited access to professional care.

Samsung has been committed to advancing hearing support technologies for consumers since 2020. That year, the company introduced a Personal Sound Amplification Product (PSAP) feature on Galaxy Buds+.

The PSAP feature was clinically validated in 2021 as effective support for daily communication for those with hearing loss, building the foundation for the Hearing Aid feature. To develop this new OTC solution, Samsung collaborated closely with the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) and Samsung Medical Center (SMC). The resulting technology is backed by robust clinical validation studies conducted at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, San Jose State University and the University of Memphis.

Samsung’s holistic hearing health experience centers around two major features integrated directly into Galaxy Buds without requiring a separate app.³ By navigating to the Galaxy Buds menu in Settings, users can complete a self-administered Hearing Test in just five minutes. Using clinical-grade, pure-tone audiometry, the software tests each ear individually to pinpoint the user’s specific hearing deficits. It then generates an audiogram with accuracy comparable to a professional audiologist’s evaluation. The results categorize the user’s hearing as normal or one of four stages of hearing loss: mild, moderate, severe or profound.

Based on those results, the Hearing Aid feature amplifies the sounds users have difficulty hearing — such as high frequencies, surrounding whispers and distant voices — personalized to each user’s hearing profile. Hearing Aid also supports additional advanced features typically found in premium hearing aids, such as noise elimination and beamforming, which help focus sounds in front of the user and suppress background noise.

Galaxy Buds use NAL-NL2, recognized globally as the clinical standard formula for fitting prescription hearing aid. This advanced approach ensures highly personalized, accurate results tailored to each individual’s hearing profile.

To give users a comprehensive view of their overall wellness, hearing-related insights — including noise exposure levels and Hearing Test results — are accessible directly within the Samsung Health app.

Samsung Electronics today announced its participation at Gamescom 2026, taking place at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany, from Aug. 26-30. There, the company will showcase its full-stack gaming vision that seamlessly connects various gaming platforms.

As the world’s largest gaming event, Gamescom features approximately 1,500 software, hardware and game content companies. The event attracted 360,000 visitors last year and this year, it is convening under the theme, “Games Spark Excitement for the Future.”

Under the slogan “#PlaySamsung,” Samsung will showcase a range of products packed with innovative features and offer visitors the chance to experience innovative gaming across mobile, PC and console platforms. At the company’s exhibition booth, visitors can experience games across a variety of platforms through its key new products: Odyssey G8, the world’s first 6K gaming monitor; 9100 PRO, a high-performance SSD built for next-generation gaming; and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, the flagship mobile device that takes mobile gaming to the next level.

Notably, the Odyssey G8, launched in May 2026, provides an optimal gaming experience with its Dual Mode to effortlessly toggle between an ultra-high resolution 6K mode at 165 Hz and an ultra-fast 3K mode at 330 Hz, depending on the game genre. With broad expertise spanning DRAM, NAND, enterprise storage and relevant advanced semiconductor technologies, Samsung presented its latest AI memory portfolio and technology roadmap, including a preview of its zHBM and zNAND-O concept models, the industry-first introduction of its V10 BV-NAND with 400-plus layers and a comprehensive range of solutions designed to advance future AI infrastructure. Samsung is also featuring its AI cloud server-inspired booth at FMS 2026, where approximately 30 memory and storage technologies are on display.  

At the opening keynote event, Samsung’s Memory Business executives Jin-Yub Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Flash Product & Technology and Kyungryun Kim, Vice President and Project Leader of the DRAM Design Team, delivered their address on next-generation 3D structures in future memory solutions.

Titled “Driving the Wave of AI Revolution: 3D Innovations in Memory & Storage Architecture,” the keynote presented Samsung’s vision to maximize AI system performance and power efficiency while addressing the rapidly growing demands of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI infrastructure.

The company also unveiled V10 BV-NAND, an architecture enabled by a new wafer bonding technology — for the first time in the industry.

Samsung’s Vision for Next-Generation 3D Memory

At FMS 2026, Samsung unveiled the industry’s first concept models of zHBM and zNAND-O, presenting its vision for the next generation of 3D memory architectures.

Designed for advanced AI computing, zHBM presents a new memory architecture that vertically stacks HBM directly above AI accelerators, moving beyond conventional designs in which HBM is positioned alongside the processor.

By minimizing the distance that data travels between the AI processor and memory, zHBM is designed to deliver higher bandwidth and improved power efficiency, enabling the ultra-fast data processing required for large-scale AI training and inference.

A next-generation interface system incorporating zHBM is expected to deliver approximately eight times the performance of HBM5. With next-generation wafer bonding technology, zHBM can achieve more than 10 times the memory density of HBM5 while enhancing energy efficiency threefold and reducing thermal resistance by more than half, maximizing the stability and power efficiency of high-capacity, high-bandwidth systems.

zHBM also supports customer-specific designs, enabling customized IP to be integrated into the interlayer between the memory and AI accelerator to expand memory capacity and enhance accelerator performance.

Building on close collaboration with customers, Samsung plans to further optimize the integration of AI processors and memory through zHBM to maximize AI system performance.

The company also introduced zNAND-O, a next-generation high-performance NAND solution built on its V-NAND technology and in development in four- and eight-layer versions. By combining high space efficiency, improved I/O performance and low latency, zNAND-O is optimized for edge AI environments supporting real-time, data-intensive AI applications.

Industry-First V10 BV-NAND

Samsung unveiled V10 BV-NAND, featuring its new Bonding V-NAND architecture. The announcement comes 13 years after the company introduced the industry’s first V-NAND technology at the 2013 Flash Memory Summit, marking another milestone in the company’s NAND innovation.

With more than 400 layers, V10 BV-NAND delivers higher performance and power efficiency while significantly increasing storage density. By applying wafer bonding technology to stack memory cells, Samsung has increased memory density by approximately 58% over the previous generation (V9).

Beyond the increased layer count, V10 BV-NAND also improves read, write and I/O performance over the previous generation, supporting high-performance, high-capacity NAND for future AI systems and applications.

AI Memory Roadmap from HBM to PIM and Enterprise Storage

Samsung also presented its latest AI memory and storage portfolio — including HBM4E, HBM5, LPDDR5X-PIM and PM1763 — highlighting its roadmap for next-generation AI computing and data center infrastructure.

Following the industry’s first mass production of HBM4 using its 1c DRAM and 4-nanometer (nm) base die technologies in February, Samsung was the first to begin shipping HBM4E samples to global customers in May, reinforcing its leadership in next-generation HBM.

Along with its HBM4E samples and HBM5 model, the company showcased its LPDDR5X-PIM, the industry’s first LPDDR memory with processing-in-memory technology. The new solution is built to perform data processing within the memory itself to improve the efficiency of both data movement and power.

The exhibition also featured Samsung’s latest enterprise storage solutions — including PM1763 and BM1773 — designed to meet the growing storage demands of AI data centers.

Samsung Electronics today announced that Prime Video will be the first streaming service to offer HDR10+ ADVANCED¹ on supported titles globally beginning August 2026, with the service being first available on Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup. The next-generation High Dynamic Range (HDR) standard — designed to deliver brighter, more immersive picture quality for supported movies and shows — brings the benefits of Enhanced Overall Brightness and Intelligent Motion Smoothing to streaming viewers for the first time.

It also introduces two powerful capabilities for customers. The Company posted KRW 171.5 trillion in consolidated revenue, another all-time quarterly high, representing a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase of 28%. Operating profit also reached another all-time high, increasing to KRW 89.5 trillion. Earnings per share for both common and preferred shares increased by 52% to KRW 10,849, among the highest levels for global tech companies.

The Device Solutions (DS) Division posted a QoQ sales increase of 56%, with the Memory Business setting an all-time high for quarterly revenue and operating profit.

The Device eXperience (DX) Division posted a QoQ sales decrease of 9%.

DS To Maintain Growth Momentum While Advancing Technology Leadership

The DS Division posted KRW 127.5 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 89.2 trillion in operating profit for the second quarter.

The Memory Business achieved another record-breaking quarter by proactively addressing AI demand despite limited capacity with a primary focus on server products. The continued industry-wide upward trend of prices also contributed to the record earnings.

Additionally, the Business solidified market competitiveness via industry-leading products, with server revenue achieving a record-high share of the sales mix. The Business scaled up HBM4 sales with industry-leading performance and further strengthened technology competitiveness by shipping the industry’s first HBM4E samples to major customers.

In H2 2026, the Memory Business expects robust demand centered on servers stemming from continued AI infrastructure capex and broader adoption of agentic AI. Meanwhile, growth in demand for server DRAM, eSSDs, and HBM is expected to accelerate. This is projected to keep the market undersupplied, despite partial demand moderation in mobile and PCs.

The Memory Business also plans to continue setting the pace for the market via technology leadership, seeking to optimize its portfolio in consideration of changes in demand by application and according to customer feedback. Despite efforts to increase production, supply constraints are expected to continue.

The Business also plans to lead the market by addressing strong demand with a focus on high-value-added products, such as HBM4, DDR5, SOCAMM2 and others, while extending its leadership into next-generation AI platforms. This follows the industry’s first HBM4E sample shipment, as well as the H1 2026 market penetration of PCIe Gen6 and UFS 5.0 solutions.

The System LSI Business was impacted by flagship seasonality and soft mobile demand in China, yet managed to sustain quarterly revenue through expanded sales of high-volume mobile SoCs and image sensors, driving first-half revenue to a record high. It secured orders for a next-generation flagship SoC and continued to build momentum on the back of new business from major customers.

In H2 2026, the Business expects rising component costs and soft consumer demand to persist. However, it will continue to drive sales of next-generation flagship SoCs while seeking new business for custom SoCs, while also aiming to strengthen its competitiveness in sensors and LSI products.

Earnings for the Foundry Business improved significantly prior to incentive-related provisions, driven by HBM base-die demand and strong orders from customers in the U.S. Design wins with major customers continued to expand, with 2nm HPC engagements as a notable example.

Looking ahead to H2 2026, the Foundry Business plans to ramp up production of new mobile products based on the second-generation 2nm process and expand sales of LPU and base-die products based on the 4nm process. Amid rising demand across all process nodes from customers in the U.S. and China, the Business is targeting double-digit revenue growth. Additionally, the Business will deliver mid-to-long-term growth via advanced nodes and the expansion of AI and HPC design wins.

SDC To Drive Growth Through Differentiated Display Technologies

Samsung Display Corporation (SDC) posted KRW 7.5 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 0.7 trillion in operating profit for the second quarter.

For the small and medium display business, SDC reported an improvement in earnings based on solid demand for high-end mobile OLED products, while its large display business expanded sales volume and revenue on the growth of the gaming monitor market.

In H2 2026, SDC plans to focus on addressing premium smartphone demand with low-power products and diversified form factors. It will also pursue revenue growth through timely mass production of the 8.6G IT OLED line, as it seeks to expand supply of differentiated products to the tablet, gaming, and automotive markets. The large display business will focus on driving sales growth with an expanded gaming monitor customer base and strengthened product lineup.

MX To Expand Flagship-Led Sales With Competitiveness of New Products

The MX and Networks Businesses posted KRW 33.2 trillion in consolidated revenue and reported an operating loss of KRW 0.7 trillion for the second quarter. While revenue grew year-on-year (YoY) on solid sales of the Galaxy S26 series and strong Galaxy A series momentum, earnings declined due to elevated component cost pressures across the industry.

In H2 2026, the MX Business plans to strengthen AI leadership through personalized and intuitive experiences and drive overall market share growth based on flagship-first expansion centered on the new Galaxy Z8 and S26 series. The Business will also seek to enhance its premium mix across the Galaxy ecosystem and deliver AI-driven experiences in new form factors with the launch of its Intelligent Eyewear. Additionally, it will pursue efficiency initiatives to mitigate the impact of rising costs.

In Q2 2026, the Networks Business reported an improvement in earnings QoQ and YoY, supported by overseas sales expansion. In H2 2026, the Business aims to secure profitability through new orders and structural cost discipline amid telco investment headwinds.

CE Business and Harman To Further Differentiate Product Offerings Through Innovation

The Visual Display (VD) and Digital Appliances (DA) Businesses posted KRW 14.5 trillion in consolidated revenue, and recorded a slight operating loss for the second quarter.

The VD Business saw revenue and earnings increase YoY as a result of high demand from major sporting events. However, earnings declined QoQ due to increased costs.

In H2 2026, the VD Business will lead the AI TV market with differentiated customer experiences based on Vision AI while capturing seasonal demand through strengthened channel partnerships. The Business will also enhance TV market leadership and profitability by growing its service business through the diversification of its Samsung TV Plus content and expansion of its advertising business.

Meanwhile, the DA Business experienced revenue growth from increased air conditioner demand, despite cost pressures weighing on earnings. In H2 2026, the Business aims to strengthen market leadership through the expansion of AI-based product sales while pursuing profitability-driven channel diversification and enhanced product competitiveness.

Harman posted improved earnings on expanded automotive segment sales, as well as strong audio sales led by portable products. In H2 2026, it will seek to address demand in high-growth automotive segments, including the central compute unit. It will also expand audio sales based on an enhanced lineup and brand awareness, while maintaining stable growth momentum through revenue expansion across the automotive and audio businesses.

The MOU was announced during the AI Summit, held at The Midway in San Francisco. Attendees included Jinman Han, President and Head of Samsung Electronics’ Foundry Business, Hock Tan, President and CEO of Broadcom, senior executives from both companies and representatives of the Korean government.

The companies expect the collaboration to be estimated at more than $200 billion across memory and foundry over the next five years through 2030.

On the memory front, Samsung and Broadcom plan to pursue a strategic collaboration for the supply of industry-leading memory solutions, including High Bandwidth Memory (HBM), supporting Broadcom’s next-generation AI accelerators.

In foundry, the companies’ collaboration focuses on Samsung’s 2-nanometer (nm) and below process technologies for Broadcom’s products, including Wireless Broadband Communications (WBC) solutions. The collaboration is expected to extend to advanced packaging technologies built on Samsung’s 2nm process, including 2.3D and 2.5D integration, to enable higher-performance and more power-efficient AI and networking silicon.

Available in both electric and gas options, the new Samsung Slide-in Ranges are designed to help consumers prepare healthier meals,³ achieve consistent cooking results and create a more refined kitchen environment.

Crispy, Healthier Cooking Achieved With Greater Ease

The new Slide-in Ranges make it easier to prepare crispy, delicious meals with less effort — thanks to Air Fry Max. Designed to deliver crisp, golden results in less time⁴ without preheating, Air Fry Max helps consumers prepare everyday meals with ease. High temperatures and powerful convection fans deliver the crunch and taste consumers love while also helping to reduce cooking time.

Additionally, the ranges feature True Convection for faster, more even baking and Air Sous Vide,⁵ which uses precise heat and airflow to help lock in flavor and moisture for gourmet cooking results at home.

To accommodate different cooking preferences, Samsung is introducing both electric and gas models of the Slide-in Range. The electric ranges feature a 3.6 kW Express Boil cooktop with dual-ring elements that help accommodate a variety of cookware sizes, while the gas models come with a powerful 23 K BTU Dual Power Burner that delivers fast, high-heat cooking for tasks such as sautéing, searing and boiling.

The new Slide-in Ranges combine premium design details with intuitive usability. Featuring the same handle design found on Samsung’s 2026 refrigerator lineup, they help create a cohesive, unified aesthetic throughout the kitchen.

Additionally, Illuminated Precision Knobs for Slide-in Ranges provide clear visual feedback by lighting up when the cooktop is in use, helping consumers instantly see when the cooktop is on. The built-in display is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, as well, making it easier to view and adjust cooking settings. This results in enhanced usability in the kitchen.

Samsung also brings a premium touch to everyday interactions through its Soft Close Door for Slide-in Ranges. This feature allows the door to close smoothly and quietly, offering a seamless and refined experience in the kitchen. Whether users push the door shut with a foot or close it firmly with one hand, the mechanism softly catches the door and guides it shut. The functionality provided by Soft Close Door is similar to soft-close features found in premium automobiles, bringing elegance and ease to users while they cook.

More Efficient Cooking With Appliances Designed To Work Together

Samsung’s new Over-the-Range Microwave with Air Fry Max is designed to complement the Slide-in Ranges both functionally and aesthetically.

With Air Fry Max available on both the microwave and the ranges, consumers can prepare larger meals or cook multiple air-fried dishes at once. The feature delivers crispy, healthier results up to 15% faster,⁶ while Convection Cooking circulates heat to maintain a consistent temperature throughout the cavity, which helps cook meals faster⁷ and more evenly.

The Slide-in Range and Over-the-Range Microwave also work together through Auto Connectivity,⁸ which wirelessly syncs the two appliances for an intuitive and convenient cooking experience. When the cooktop is turned on, for example, the Microwave automatically activates its light and ventilation hood. This helps improve visibility and airflow while reducing the need for manual adjustments.

Furthermore, the Over-the-Range Microwave features a slanted, ergonomic design that provides clear visibility to the cooktop while seamlessly blending in with the rest of the kitchen.

Staying Connected To Cooking With SmartThings

Both the Slide-in Ranges and Over-the-Range Microwave can be connected through SmartThings.⁹ This allows consumers to conveniently control, monitor and manage these appliances from their smartphone or with a voice assistant¹⁰ — while also helping them discover recipes¹¹ and plan meals more easily¹² using SmartThings Food.

Flex Titanium: Next-Level Viewing

To create a display that provides an immersive viewing experience while maintaining its ability to withstand everyday use, Samsung took a new approach to structural design. This required a material strong enough to withstand external shock, flexible enough to endure repeated folding and thin enough to fit within a refined device structure. Balancing all three factors was essential to advancing foldable displays — and titanium offered the right mix.

Known for its resilience and strength, titanium has been used in some of the most demanding applications, including satellite antennas and the wheels of a Mars rover. While its strength makes titanium a dependable material, it also presents significant engineering challenges when applied to the thin and flexible structure of a foldable display due to its stiffness. Drawing on its expertise, Samsung has integrated titanium into two key components: a titanium-alloy film and a titanium plate.

The titanium-alloy film is a component that supports the display from within, sitting below the OLED panel. Compared with polymer film, it provides 20 times greater mechanical stiffness. A precision rolling process makes the material exceptionally thin — measuring roughly one-third the thickness of an average human hair — enabling a slimmer display panel.

Below this sits a robust titanium plate, a flexible structure that supports the display module from beneath. It allows tighter bonding with the display module by eliminating air gaps between the module and the adhesive on the plate through advanced hole processing technology. This new structure provides more stable support underneath the display when unfolded while retaining the flexibility needed to accommodate repeated folding.

Furthermore, by integrating a high-resolution architecture and next-generation organic materials, the new display delivers ultra-vivid display resolution while reducing power consumption — delivering a dramatic boost in overall power efficiency.

Samsung Electronics today announced the launch of its new Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer lineup,¹ designed to meet growing consumer demand for appliances that can reduce everyday effort, help manage energy consumption and integrate seamlessly into connected homes.² Combining enhanced AI features, an intuitive Smart Screen experience and SmartThings-enabled³ energy management, the lineup helps users manage laundry more conveniently and efficiently.

Enhanced AI Features Deliver Intelligent Fabric Care

The new Bespoke AI Washer and Dryer are equipped with Samsung’s latest AI-enhanced laundry cycles, designed to optimize performance across a wider range of fabric types for smaller loads and laundry conditions.

On washers, AI Wash+ expands fabric recognition capabilities to include Outdoor and Denim fabrics in addition to the previously supported fabric types.⁴ Using multiple sensors, the system detects the weight and five different fabric types, automatically dispenses an appropriate amount of water and detergent, then continuously monitors soil levels during the wash cycle. If needed, it can adjust detergent usage and washing time to help deliver thorough yet efficient cleaning performance.

On dryers, AI Dry+⁵ analyzes the moisture level and drying temperature of a load while detecting four different fabric types.⁶ Based on these insights, it automatically adjusts the performance of the Inverter Compressor and Heat Exchanger to optimize drying conditions. By generating the appropriate amount of heat according to the weight and moisture content of each load, AI Dry+ helps reduce energy consumption and drying time by up to 20%.⁷

Smart Screen and Voice Control Simplify Everyday Laundry

The new lineup enhances everyday convenience with the Smart Screen,⁸ a 7-inch LCD that serves as an intuitive control center for laundry. The display provides easy access to functions and settings through touchscreen controls, while also personalizing the user experience by remembering usage habits, suggesting cycles⁹ and delivering timely information. After each cycle, users can access laundry reports through the SmartThings app,¹⁰ including insights into energy and water consumption. The lineup also features Samsung’s upgraded Bixby¹¹ voice assistant, which enables users to manage laundry more easily through natural voice interactions. For example, users can ask Bixby to start a preferred cycle, add extra rinsing, check remaining wash time or explain information shown on the screen without touching the controls. Bixby can also provide spoken feedback on information displayed on the screen, making laundry management more accessible and intuitive.

Connected Experiences Support Smarter Energy Management

Through SmartThings, users can access a range of connected features designed to enhance convenience and support more efficient energy management.

As household energy costs remain a key concern for consumers, the new lineup supports AI Energy Mode¹² in SmartThings Energy, which helps users monitor daily, weekly and monthly energy consumption while also providing estimated electricity costs. When compatible cycles are selected,¹³ AI Energy Mode can reduce energy use by up to 70% by applying AI Ecobubble technology¹⁴ to wash at lower temperatures and extending cycle time as needed.¹⁵ For the dryer, AI Energy Mode helps reduce energy use by up to 20%¹⁶ through intelligent optimization of the drying process.

The new Bespoke AI Washer delivers large-capacity performance in a 24-inch standard-depth design and is available in capacities ranging from 10.5kg to 13kg, depending on market availability. The matching-design dryer is available in capacities ranging from 9kg to 13kg. The advanced concept design for Samsung Home Appliances Accessories helps users naturally recognize the management and disposal methods of consumables based on their color. Some filters for air purifiers and vacuum cleaners are consumables that require periodic replacement; therefore, Samsung applied a color-coding system corresponding to management type so consumers can easily distinguish disposal and management methods.

With semi-permanent parts categorized as gray, recyclable parts as green and general waste as brown, the system proposes a way to intuitively recognize the correct disposal method without separate explanations.

This concept achieved a triple crown at the Global Design Awards, winning the highest award once again — following the iF Design Award 2026 Gold and the IDEA Design Award 2024 Gold.

The advanced concept Samsung Kids Robot Dremo & Minimo is a next-generation kids robot concept that provides personalized experiences for children using AI. As the volume of data required for AI training and inference continues to grow rapidly, enterprise SSDs (eSSDs) capable of delivering data quickly and reliably are becoming increasingly essential to AI infrastructure.

Incorporating Samsung’s 9th-generation V-NAND and a newly developed 4-nanometer (nm) controller, PM1763 significantly improves both performance and power efficiency.

PM1763 is available in 4-terabyte (TB), 8TB and 16TB capacities, with the 16TB configuration delivering industry-leading performance with sequential read and write speeds of up to 28,400 megabytes-per-second (MB/s) and 21,900MB/s, respectively — more than 2 times the performance of its predecessor, PM1753.

This level of performance allows the transfer of a 40-gigabyte (GB) large language model (LLM) in approximately 1.4 seconds, helping minimize data latency between processors and accelerators while improving overall AI processing efficiency.

PM1763 is optimized for liquid-cooled server environments through direct-to-chip (D2C) cooling technology. This enables sustained peak performance even under intensive workloads and extended operating conditions.

Power efficiency is also improved by more than 1.8 times compared to its predecessor, helping reduce overall datacenter operating costs.

To address growing security requirements in AI, Samsung has also strengthened PM1763’s security capabilities. The drive supports post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms designed to protect against future quantum computing threats, as well as TEE Device Interface Security Protocol (TDISP),¹ which helps secure data pathways in virtualized environments.

Enhanced Energy Efficiency

The new Bespoke AI Washer Dryer meets top-tier energy efficiency ratings in applicable labeling systems in markets where it is available, with select models in European markets exceeding Class A minimum energy efficiency requirements by up to 35 percent.² The new washer-dryer leverages a combination of advanced technologies, including AI Ecobubble,³ a circulation pump and optimized algorithms. Together, these innovations help reduce energy consumption without compromising cleaning performance.

In particular, AI Ecobubble transforms detergent into bubbles that more quickly penetrate fabrics. The technology improves soil removal by up to 20 percent⁴ while enabling effective washing at lower temperatures.

Additionally, through AI Energy Mode⁵ in SmartThings Energy,⁶ users can monitor energy consumption and estimated electricity costs. When compatible cycles are selected, the feature can reduce energy use by up to 70 percent⁷ by washing at lower temperatures and adjusting cycle time as needed.

Smarter Fabric Care for Every Load

The new Bespoke AI Washer Dryer provides specific cycles that help users to care for their laundry in smarter ways.

First, the Air Wash⁸ cycle refreshes garments and bedding without water or detergent. Once the cycle is selected, it blows super-hot air onto the laundry to freshen fabrics. Through this function, Air Wash offers a convenient way to care for items that do not require a full wash cycle, helping maintain fabric quality over time.

Second, the AI Wash cycle works to make fabric care easier.⁹ AI Wash automatically senses the weight, softness and soil level of each load, then intelligently dispenses the appropriate amount of water and detergent. It continuously adjusts soak, rinse and spin times to optimize washing performance for thorough yet gentle results. At the same time, the Flex Auto Dispense System automatically dispenses the appropriate amount of detergent and softener for every wash.¹⁰

Connected Experiences Through SmartThings

Available on select models,¹¹ AI Control helps simplify laundry management through a more personalized experience. By learning user habits, including frequently used cycles and settings, the system can suggest cycles based on machine learning as well as periodic, weather and seasonal needs.¹² Through the SmartThings app, users can also access cycle recommendations, laundry planning features and troubleshooting support.

SmartThings supports Quick Remote¹³ on compatible Galaxy smartphones, as well.¹⁴ When users approach the appliance,¹⁵ a Quick Remote interface can automatically appear on the phone,¹⁶ providing convenient access to key controls such as power and start/stop¹⁷ functions. This enables users to manage laundry more conveniently without needing to locate a separate control interface or open the SmartThings app.

Conducted in and around Tokyo, spanning dense urban, suburban and rural areas, the test leveraged 100 MHz of 3.7 GHz TDD spectrum across hundreds of cells. The diverse traffic and network environments allowed robust AI model training to be carried out across real-world conditions. During peak hours, Samsung’s RSO delivered an average increase of 31% in 5G downlink throughput across the overall trial area, with gains reaching a maximum increase of 52% in dense urban areas. In addition to substantial performance gains, the trial highlighted the potential and effectiveness of AI-based solutions to enable more precise and adaptive network optimization in commercial environments.

Samsung’s AI-powered RSO is built to enhance network performance through distinctive parameter optimization per cell. This is a significant change and advancement, where AI-tuned customization moves beyond the conventional cluster-level approach that applies the same parameter settings across multiple cells. Samsung’s RSO uses its own AI-based prediction model to analyze site environment data automatically and recommend optimized parameters tailored to each individual cell. The RSO is part of the Samsung CognitiV Network Operations Suite (NOS), a set of diverse AI-powered network automation solutions, AI agents and intelligent applications.

This trial benefits operators by automatically adjusting to changing conditions across different network scenarios, allowing for reduced manual intervention and greater cost efficiency. For end users, this means faster and more reliable connections whether they are streaming videos, browsing the web or making calls.

With Home Personalization, Samsung AMS supports cloud-connected profiles, allowing teachers to access their preferred layout, wallpaper, bookmarks, app shortcuts, files and settings when they sign in to compatible displays in different classrooms. In terms of user management, NFC binding links NFC cards to teacher accounts so staff can sign in to shared displays with their assigned cards. Samsung Education Portal also includes Tags, a feature that lets IT teams group displays by school, building or classroom. Samsung AI Assistant: Supporting More Efficient Teaching and More Active Learning

Samsung AI Assistant provides AI tools for common classroom tasks directly on compatible Android-based Samsung Interactive Displays. The app supports content discovery, transcription, summaries and quizzes, helping teachers encourage student focus, participation and comprehension throughout lessons.

With Circle to Search,³ teachers can circle on-screen text or images to find related information, visuals, videos and web links without leaving the display. Results can also be used in other classroom apps, such as Samsung Whiteboard, so teachers can bring supporting materials into the lesson more easily. Live Transcript converts spoken instruction into real-time text on the screen, making lessons easier to follow for students with hearing impairments, as well as multilingual learners.⁴

Samsung AI Assistant also includes AI Summary and AI Quiz. Using recorded lesson content, AI Quiz generates questions that allow teachers to assess student comprehension in real time. This keeps students engaged through the end of the lesson, while giving teachers immediate visibility into class performance, such as the overall correct answer rate. With Single Sign-On for Samsung AI Assistant through Samsung AMS, teachers can return to previous lesson materials, including AI-generated summaries, without signing in again.

Samsung Brings More Choice to Classroom Display Technology

Samsung AI Assistant is currently available following its April release, while Samsung AMS will be available beginning in July alongside related Samsung Education Portal updates.⁵

Samsung Electronics today announced a global partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios to mark the theatrical release of this summer’s epic new superhero adventure “Supergirl” on June 24. Through the partnership, Samsung is bringing fans closer to the film through Samsung Art Store, a Samsung Micro RGB TV sweepstakes in collaboration with electronics retailer Best Buy and select U.S. and U.K. experiences in support of its global release.

The milestone sets a new benchmark for the next-generation mobile memory market as the enhanced performance is expected to allow mobile device users with significantly reduced latency and faster response times when running large language models (LLMs) in on-device AI environments.

“In the era of on-device AI, storage devices are evolving into a key driver defining AI experiences,” said Jangseok Choi, head of Memory Product Planning at Samsung Electronics. “As we successfully move beyond the development stage of the industry’s first UFS 5.0 solution, Samsung is setting a new standard for storage on the go and will continue to drive innovation for the next-generation mobile platform market.”

Generative AI is rapidly shifting from the cloud to the device, driving a surge in the scale of data required for local processing. As a result, storage is evolving from a medium used primarily to store data to core infrastructure that supports AI computation.

Samsung’s UFS 5.0 integrates the latest embedded memory interface standard from JEDEC, achieving unparalleled performance levels with the industry’s highest bandwidth of up to 10.8 gigabytes per second (GB/s).

The new storage solution delivers a sequential read speed of up to 10.8 GB/s and a sequential write speed of up to 9.5 GB/s, speeds that are respectively more than twice as fast as those of the previous UFS 4.1 standard. This significant advancement enables much faster storage and processing of large data for on-device AI applications.

Power efficiency in Samsung’s UFS 5.0 is also improved by more than 40% compared to the company’s UFS 4.1 solution. This is achieved by implementing a number of new innovations, including clock gating and multi-voltage technologies. These enhancements help to considerably reduce the power required to transfer the same amount of data, drastically lowering overall power consumption and extending the battery life of next-generation mobile devices.

Samsung has engineered the UFS 5.0 solution into an ultra-compact package measuring just 7.5mm x 13mm x 0.9mm — making it 16.7% smaller than its predecessor. This form factor significantly boosts design flexibility and internal space utilization for a wide range of applications, including mobile, wearable and extended reality (XR) devices.

Samsung will begin mass production of its UFS 5.0 in the fourth quarter of this year in a variety of capacities up to one terabyte (TB). Through this breakthrough in UFS 5.0 technology, Samsung is staying ahead of industry needs and plans to scale up supply to meet the growth of next-generation device markets — ranging from flagship smartphones to XR headsets and AI wearables.

During the panel, Hon Pak, Head of the Digital Health Team for the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics, joined four other speakers: David Lee, Head of Samsung Next; Mike McSherry, CEO of Xealth; Alina Su, CEO of Generation Lab; and Michael Dubrovsky, CEO of SiPhox Health. Together, they presented a blueprint for the future of healthcare to an audience of approximately 1,000 global attendees.

Serving as the moderator, David Lee emphasized the critical role of partnership. “The future of health cannot be built by one company alone,” Lee said. “It must be forged through an open ecosystem of collaboration among diverse innovators.”

Building an Open Health Ecosystem

Samsung possesses a diverse portfolio of devices and platforms, spanning from semiconductors to mobile phones, wearables, home appliances and TVs. The company leverages its economies of scale to cultivate a robust, collaborative ecosystem with numerous partners across each of its business sectors.

By integrating Samsung devices with partner solutions within this open ecosystem, Xealth, Generation Lab and SiPhox Health are accelerating the realization of connected care. Hon Pak highlighted the scale of Samsung’s reach during the discussion. “Samsung Health supports more than 77 million monthly active users,¹ and the SmartThings platform connects 460 million users,”² Pak said.

Samsung holds a strong advantage as a trusted brand within the household, the central setting for daily life and wellness. “By connecting our device ecosystem around the home via SmartThings, we can innovate the health experience where it matters most, at a time when health is shifting to the home — a space in which prevention can happen at scale,” Pak added.

To support this transition, Samsung has integrated a wide variety of devices — including home appliances, TVs and compatible third-party devices — into its SmartThings platform. This enables a broad spectrum of services that range from personalized automation routines to family and pet care.

Accelerating Innovation Through Partnerships

The panelists identified Samsung’s established ecosystem and open approach to collaboration as key strengths.

Alina Su of Generation Lab emphasized the value of this partnership. “What has been most exciting is Samsung’s genuine openness and distribution. There’s real scale and technical capability — but there’s also a willingness to collaborate, to co-create and to move quickly with partners,” Su said. “When you combine that with the devices people already use every day, you can bring innovation to people’s lives far faster than you could independently.”

Michael Dubrovsky of SiPhox Health also explained the benefits of the collaboration. “Samsung brings the device ecosystem already living in people’s homes and on their bodies,” Dubrovsky said. “SiPhox adds the diagnostic layer that has always been missing from that picture. Together, continuous device data and continuous biomarker data create a truly complete health picture that has never existed outside a clinical setting.”

Currently, Generation Lab provides a solution to help users easily check biological age and actively manage aging at home, while SiPhox Health offers a service that enables active health management through hospital-grade blood tests in each household.

Mike McSherry of Xealth shared a vision for providing a seamless, continuous healthcare solution by bridging the gap between clinical care in hospitals and daily wellness management through deep integration with Samsung.

Empowering Open Collaborations and Ensuring Robust Security

In addition to strategic partner collaborations, Samsung has built an open ecosystem for the wider developer and researcher community. Utilizing the Samsung Health Software Development Kit (SDK) Suite, they can easily create innovative wellness services leveraging advanced sensor technology and the health platform. This allows Samsung Health users to experience useful new features more quickly.

Protecting these experiences is Samsung Knox, a proprietary defense-grade security solution integrated across various consumer touchpoints, such as mobile devices, home appliances and TVs. With Knox, users can confidently manage their sensitive information within the Samsung ecosystem.

Looking at the next five years of healthcare in the context of the AI era, Pak concluded, “A daily companion that knows who I am, as well as what I need and when, will help me achieve my health goals seamlessly through lifestyle behaviors and connected innovative partner services.”

The zone also offers a glimpse into the future of daily health management, powered by Samsung Health’s latest features — including tracking via Heart Health Score and Vitals, alongside enhanced workout metrics such as Daily Cardio Load, introduced in the new 7.0 update.¹

In this zone, Samsung is presenting its future digital healthcare blueprint, which aims to bridge wellness and clinical care by integrating Samsung’s technology with Xealth, the U.S. digital health platform the company acquired last year.

Xealth provides a platform that enables medical professionals to comprehensively assess patient conditions, prescribe and recommend digital healthcare solutions and monitor health in real time. By connecting Galaxy smartphones and wearables with the Xealth platform, Samsung plans to develop a solution that empowers both clinical teams and patients to actively manage health together, even outside of a hospital setting.

The company is also showcasing its Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, which enables smart diet management. AI Food Manager² tracks expiration dates and sends timely alerts before ingredients reach the use-by date set by the user. Additionally, the FoodNote³ widget analyzes ingredient data stored and used over the past week, providing personalized insights into the user’s most frequently consumed food items.

Samsung is also introducing a pet care solution that helps users monitor potential health issues at home. Through a collaboration with the pet health management solution Lifet, users can take a photo with their mobile device, which AI then analyzes for signs associated with issues such as certain dental problems, patellar luxation and cataracts.⁴

Seamlessly connected through Samsung’s smart home platform, SmartThings, the solutions presented in the Connected Care Ecosystem Zone safeguard personal data with Knox, Samsung’s proprietary security solution.

The booth’s Open Care Lab features a range of partner solutions, including the AI Beauty Screen developed in collaboration with Amorepacific, a leading Korea-based beauty company; Visual Meditation, a service exclusive to Samsung TVs developed in collaboration with CUZ; and an AI-based skin and scalp analysis solution by Becon, which was founded through Samsung’s in-house venture project, C-Lab.

Following the industry’s first mass production and commercial shipment of its industry-leading HBM4 earlier this year, Samsung now extends its HBM roadmap with the introduction of HBM4E samples, addressing the rapidly evolving demands of AI computing and hyperscale infrastructure.

“Following the successful mass production of HBM4, Samsung has once again demonstrated its distinct technological edge with HBM4E,” said Sang Joon Hwang, Executive Vice President and Head of Memory Development at Samsung Electronics. “Through our advanced manufacturing capabilities and preemptive infrastructure investments, we will continue to drive the growth of the global AI memory market.”

Samsung’s HBM4E delivers a stable pin speed of 14 gigabits-per-second (Gbps), with performance scalable up to 16Gbps to support increasingly intensive data processing requirements. This represents more than a 20% increase over its HBM4, while delivering memory bandwidth of up to 3.6 terabytes-per-second (TB/s) per stack, helping maximize computing performance for large language models (LLMs) and next-generation AI systems.

Samsung’s 12-layer HBM4E is offered in a 48-gigabyte (GB) capacity, representing more than a 30% increase over the previous generation, with plans to expand the lineup to include 32GB (8-layer) and 64GB (16-layer) configurations in accordance with customer requirements.

The HBM4E sets itself apart by taking full advantage of Samsung’s comprehensive semiconductor capabilities and leveraging the same leading-edge technologies refined through the company’s HBM4 production experience. This includes the industry’s most advanced 6th-generation 10-nanometer (nm)-class DRAM process (1c) and Samsung Foundry’s 4nm logic base die, allowing the HBM4E to secure enhanced process stability and manufacturability.

Design and process optimization across both memory and logic architectures of Samsung’s HBM4E also improves performance, power efficiency and yield.

In particular, advanced low-power design technologies and optimized packaging structures improved energy efficiency by 16% and thermal resistance characteristics by more than 14% compared to the previous generation. These enhancements also enable more effective heat dissipation, allowing prolonged reliability and lower energy consumption in next-generation data centers with intensive workloads.

Samsung plans to begin mass production for HBM4E aligned with customer schedules, following initial sample shipments and optimization.

Feedback from global customers on Samsung’s HBM4, introduced in February, have been highly positive, especially for its performance and energy efficiency. The HBM4 was the first in the industry to enter mass production and has successfully set the bar for the industry with speeds of 11.7Gbps in its system in package (SiP) tests.

As stable supply of Samsung’s HBM4 continues to grow, the company’s latest HBM4E using the same combination of core and base die is anticipated to enter mass production to further accelerate innovation in next-generation AI systems. With its comprehensive portfolio spanning memory, foundry, logic design and advanced packaging, Samsung will continue to ensure a stable semiconductor supply for the booming AI market.

As GLP-1 medications become widely adopted for weight management and chronic disease treatment, tracking changes in muscle mass and physical activity alongside weight loss has emerged as a key medical focus. This research will delve into the feasibility of managing muscle loss for GLP-1 patients by utilizing biometric data including body composition, activity levels and heart rate provided by Galaxy Watch and Samsung Health.

Samsung and MGH have continuously collaborated on digital health research utilizing both Galaxy Watch and Samsung Health, including studies on Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs). The MGH Diabetes Research Center, which specializes in research on diabetes and GLP-1 obesity treatment, initiated the joint study with Samsung after recognizing the potential for wearables to monitor body composition.

This study will also utilize Galaxy Watch8, powered by Samsung’s groundbreaking BioActive Sensor,² which helps provide advanced predictive and preventative wellness through more accurate health measurements.

Under the leadership of Dr. Melissa Putman, the study will enroll 100 adults beginning treatment with weight-loss medications into two groups. The intervention group will use Galaxy Watch to monitor their body composition via Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA), track physical activity and receive personalized exercise guides. Their progress will be compared to the other group, which will receive the standard guidance and care typically given to patients starting GLP-1RA therapy.

To evaluate the study’s progress, researchers will use clinical-grade DXA scans³ — the gold standard for body composition analysis — to track physiological changes in both groups. These data will help determine whether the insights and tailored guidance provided by Galaxy Watch8 can effectively support participants in building healthier daily habits, which may in turn contribute to better health outcomes particularly in preserving muscle mass.

Samsung Electronics today announced that it has signed the European Union’s (EU) Code of Conduct (CoC) for interoperability and Energy Smart Appliances (ESAs). The CoC aims to accelerate the rollout of connected appliances that can work seamlessly with energy systems and help households use electricity more efficiently.

“Samsung believes connected appliances can play a meaningful role in the energy transition by helping households use energy more intelligently, without adding complexity to everyday life,” said Hyesoon Yang, Executive Vice President for the Digital Appliances (DA) New Biz Team at Samsung Electronics. “By joining this EU initiative, we aim to help make energy-smart functionality more accessible to consumers.”

Developed with manufacturers by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) and Directorate-General (DG) for Energy, the CoC promotes cross-brand interoperability by defining common energy-related services and the information needed to enable them, even when different communication protocols are used. It covers a variety of energy-labeled appliances, such as major white goods and HVAC categories.

In line with the initiative’s timelines, Samsung combo, washer and dishwasher models that meet the CoC requirements have been registered in the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) as ESAs. These models support the Optimal Scheduling¹ feature within SmartThings Energy,² enabling appliances to operate during off-peak hours. Additionally, SmartThings Energy allows users to monitor and manage energy consumption through the SmartThings app.

Following its 2024 debut, the 2026 Bespoke AI Laundry Combo is launching with upgrades that shorten wash-to-dry cycles and enhance drying performance. Under specific conditions, the Super Speed cycle can complete a full wash-to-dry cycle in less time than the previous ventless combos,² helping users reduce total laundry time without compromising performance.³

Super Speed leverages a high-pressure Speed Spray that improves detergent penetration and rinsing to enable fast and efficient washing, while the newly incorporated booster heat exchanger delivers improved drying performance. The upgraded combo also features Auto Open Door+,⁴ which not only automatically opens the door, but also activates internal air circulation⁵ after wash-only cycles to help prevent laundry left in the drum from developing a musty odor.

What’s New in One UI 9 Beta

One UI 9 beta introduces several updates across key areas of the mobile experience.

Samsung Notes¹ gains creative new tools, including decorative tapes and a wider variety of pen line styles. Meanwhile, the Contacts app now offers direct access to Creative Studio² for creating personalized profile cards without the need to switch between apps.

The updated Quick Panel³ gives users greater control over its layout. Brightness, sound and media player are each independently adjustable, with more size options to suit individual preferences.

Accessibility is significantly improved by an adjustable Mouse Key speed that enables smoother cursor control and a combined TalkBack package that brings together features previously offered separately by Google and Samsung. The new Text Spotlight feature — which displays selected text larger or more clearly in a floating window — has also been added to make reading easier.

One UI 9 also introduces enhanced protection against suspicious apps and potential threats: when new high-risk apps are detected, it now warns users, blocks execution and installation, and recommends deletion through security policy updates.⁴

The updated AI Food Manager now significantly expands the range of food items the Family Hub can recognize and track through enhanced AI Vision. Combining with cloud intelligence, the system now identifies more fresh produce and packaged goods⁶ other than its 40 pre-studied items with greater accuracy — including popular branded products and regionally specific ingredients. For packaged goods, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) enables accurate identification of a broader range of branded products across global markets.

Drawing on AI-analyzed usage patterns, the Family Hub also proactively alerts users⁷ when frequently consumed items need to be replenished — simplifying grocery planning and helping to reduce food waste.

Bixby: More Natural and Intelligent Voice Control

The update also introduces a more advanced Bixby, enabling more natural, conversational interactions with the refrigerator. Rather than using specific commands, consumers can speak more conversationally — and Bixby will respond with contextual understanding and take appropriate actions.

This applies to what would normally be considered complex actions prior to this update. With it in place, users can experience interactions such as the following:

Requesting Sphere Ice

• User: “Hi Bixby, make round ice for my drink.”

Now Brief: A More Personalized Daily Experience

The update expands Now Brief — the Family Hub’s default daily display — to include a richer, tailored set of widgets designed to make the refrigerator screen more useful in everyday home life. These include:

• Trending Recipes: Daily recommended popular recipe videos, which can also be accessed through SmartThings Food.
• FoodNote: Draws on the AI Vision food list⁹ to display the top most frequently used ingredients from the past week and recommends recipes.
• What’s for Today?: Offers menu recommendations through either a random suggestion or a pick based on refrigerator contents, turning the daily question of what to cook into a more engaging, gamified experience.

Users can also receive personalized widget experiences through Voice ID¹⁰ recognition. Once a household member’s voice is identified, Now Brief surfaces tailored content such as upcoming calendar events, emojis, reminders for birthdays/anniversaries, interest-based news and health-connected data like sleep pattern summaries and daily activity updates.

Vasovagal syncope occurs when a person’s heart rate and blood pressure drop abruptly due to factors like excessive stress, leading to a temporary loss of consciousness. While the fainting spell itself is typically not life-threatening, sudden falls can cause severe secondary injuries like fractures or concussions, making early prediction critically important for prevention.

“Up to 40% of people experience vasovagal syncope over their lifetime, with one-third experiencing recurrent episodes,” said Professor Junhwan Cho of the Department of Cardiology at Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital. “An early warning could give patients advance time to get into a safe position or call for help, which would dramatically reduce the incidence of secondary injuries.”

The joint research team, led by Professor Cho, conducted evaluations on 132 patients with suspected VVS symptoms during induced fainting tests. Using a Galaxy Watch equipped with a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, the team analyzed the watch’s heart rate variability (HRV) data with an AI algorithm. The model successfully predicted impending fainting episodes up to five minutes in advance with 84.6 percent accuracy, at a clinically meaningful sensitivity of 90 percent and a specificity of 64 percent.

“This study is an example of how wearable technology can help shift healthcare from being designed for ‘post-care’ to a model of ‘preventive care,’” said Jongmin Choi, Head of Health R&D Group, Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to driving technological innovation that empowers our users to lead healthier everyday lives.”

The research findings were published in Volume 7, Issue 4 of “European Heart Journal – Digital Health,” a leading medical journal and they represent the world’s first study to successfully demonstrate the potential for a commercial smartwatch to provide early prediction of syncope.

Samsung plans to further advance the health monitoring capabilities of its wearable portfolio and expand collaboration with leading medical institutions. Through these efforts, the company aims to lead the digital health industry and accelerate the implementation of personalized, preventive health solutions.

Power Class (PC) is a 3GPP^TM1 standard that defines how strongly a device can transmit its signal, with a lower-class number indicating a higher output power. Higher power is critical for improving signal quality and extending network reach, especially useful in harder-to-reach areas. At the same time, the rise of data- and time-intensive services like physical AI, autonomous systems and AR/VR is driving a surge in upload demand. PC1 is expected to be a key factor in elevating the FWA user experience by offering fiber-like uplink speeds and reducing bottlenecks, which will support the demands of evolving technologies and next-generation AI services.

The test was completed at Samsung’s R&D lab using its fully software-driven vRAN solution, 3.7GHz Massive MIMO radios and Qualcomm Technologies’ X85 chipset-equipped test device. Key technical findings include:

• Up to 10x Uplink Throughput Enhancement: During the lab test, the application of PC1 technology achieved up to 10 times higher uplink throughput at the cell-edge compared to PC1.5 standard. For users, this means smoother video calls and faster file upload in areas where signals are typically weakest, like remote regions or isolated corners of buildings.

• 1.4x Coverage Expansion: In addition to performance improvements, PC1 is capable of extending the coverage range by up to 40% more compared to PC1.5. This allows individual devices to stay connected across a much wider area, maintaining strong signals even when farther away from a base station.

Available in Mocha Gray with a thin 14.9 mm chassis, Galaxy Book6 Enterprise Edition comes in 14‑inch and 16‑inch models to support different work styles ranging from mobile professionals to office-based teams. It also supports battery life capable of up to 24 hours of video playback¹² and fast charging that restores up to one‑third of the battery in around 30 minutes, enabling longer periods of uninterrupted work. The Company posted KRW 133.9 trillion in consolidated revenue, an all-time quarterly high, representing a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase of 43%. Operating profit was also an all-time high, increasing to KRW 57.2 trillion.

The Device Solutions (DS) Division posted a QoQ sales increase of 86%, with the Memory Business setting an all-time high for quarterly revenue and operating profit as a result of technological leadership in the memory market, as well as higher average selling price (ASP).

The Device eXperience (DX) Division posted a QoQ sales increase of 19%, supported by the launch of new flagship smartphones. Despite higher cost pressures, the Division expanded the sales of high-value-added products across businesses to preserve profitability.

Semiconductors To Drive Structured Growth on AI-Related Demand

The DS Division posted KRW 81.7 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 53.7 trillion in operating profit for the first quarter.

The Memory Business surpassed its quarterly sales record by addressing high-value-added AI demand despite limited supply availability, with industry-wide memory price increases also a contributing factor.

Additionally, the Business led the memory market by utilizing its differentiated technology leadership. This included initiating the industry’s first mass product sales of HBM4 and SOCAMM2 for NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform, as well as the timely development of PCIe Gen6 SSDs.

In Q2 2026, the Memory Business anticipates demand to remain strong amid AI infrastructure expansion and is scheduled to deliver its first HBM4E samples to solidify technical leadership. The Business also aims to proactively capitalize on early demand for new GPUs and CPUs to be launched in the second half of 2026 and plans to continue its AI product-centric sales strategy for both DRAM and NAND.

In H2 2026, the Company expects server memory demand to remain strong as hyperscalers accommodate enterprises’ increasing adoption of AI and LLM services. Additionally, agentic AI is expected to accelerate growth in demand.

The Memory Business also seeks to spearhead the AI memory market based on technology competitiveness by continuing to expand its share of high-value-added AI products like DDR5, SOCAMM2 and others. At the same time, the Business plans to lead the initial PCIe Gen6 eSSD market with high-performance products focused on KV cache storage demand.

Earnings at the System LSI Business improved on the back of expanded SoC sales.

In Q2 2026, the System LSI Business aims to increase sales of SoCs and sensors for volume-tier smartphones.

In H2 2026, the Business plans to secure flagship SoC design wins and expand its 200MP sensor customer base and product lineup.

Earnings for the Foundry Business declined as a result of off-peak seasonality. However, it continued to maintain design wins focused on HPCs and established a foundation in the silicon photonics business.

In Q2 2026, the Business plans to reach full utilization of advanced-node production lines while targeting earnings improvement on increased HBM4 base-die supply. Development of the 1.4nm node remains on track, with the Business also pursuing the expansion of large-scale 2nm customers.

Looking ahead to H2 2026, the Foundry Business plans to start ramping up production of the second-generation 2nm process for mobile products, as well as the mass production of 4nm memory products and LPUs for AI and HPC customers. Furthermore, it aims to diversify its portfolio to include not just AI and HPC, but also the automotive and aerospace industries.

SDC To Build on Strengths in Differentiated Technologies and Premium Products

Samsung Display Corporation (SDC) posted KRW 6.7 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 0.4 trillion in operating profit for the first quarter.

For the small and medium display business, SDC reported a decline in earnings due to seasonal effects and the impact of higher memory prices, while its large display business maintained stable sales on robust demand for OLED gaming monitors.

In Q2 2026, SDC’s small and medium display business will focus on sales in the relatively resilient high-end segment despite overall weak market demand, and its large display business aims to capture demand supported by new product launches and the impact of global sporting events.  

In H2 2026, SDC expects continued market uncertainty and low visibility in small and medium displays, and it will pursue higher revenues via premium products with differentiated technology as well as 8.6G IT OLED mass production. In large displays, it intends to solidify its position in the premium TV market while expanding its customer base in monitors.  

MX To Secure Revenue Expansion With Diverse Product Mix

The MX and Networks Businesses posted KRW 38.1 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 2.8 trillion in operating profit for the first quarter.

The MX Business saw sales and profit increase as a result of its premium product mix, securing single-digit profitability via proactive cost optimization. 

In Q2 2026, amid diminishing launch effects, QoQ revenue is expected to decline. However, the MX Business will drive year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth via flagship sales and new A-series devices.

In H2 2026, the MX Business plans to pursue comprehensive growth by solidifying flagship-led sales and upselling initiatives while staying ahead of evolving customer needs by strengthening the product development of foldables. It will also pursue efficiency initiatives to mitigate the impact of rising cost pressures on profitability.

In Q1 2026, the Networks Business experienced a decline in earnings QoQ and YoY as it faced investment headwinds in the telecommunications industry. In Q2 2026, it intends to improve earnings via overseas sales expansion. Looking to H2 2026, the Business plans to capitalize on leadership in vRAN, ORAN and AI-RAN to capture new markets while securing profitability through structural cost discipline.

CE Business and Harman to Further Advance Product Lineups and AI Functionality

The Visual Display (VD) and Digital Appliances (DA) Businesses posted KRW 14.3 trillion in consolidated revenue and KRW 0.2 trillion in operating profit in the first quarter.

The VD Business saw improved profitability through solid sales of premium and big-size TVs as well as resource optimization.

In Q2 2026, the VD Business will target increased revenue by capturing sporting-event-driven demand with a strengthened product lineup. In H2 2026, it intends to solidify TV sales leadership via AI features while accelerating service and OS business expansion.

Meanwhile, the DA Business experienced a limited improvement to earnings in Q1 2026 amid cost pressures and tariffs. In Q2 2026, it will drive revenue growth through a new premium lineup and a recovery in demand for air conditioners. In H2 2026, the Business aims to implement cost efficiency initiatives while driving premium sales.

Harman posted an earnings decline in Q1 2026 due to increased expenses amid memory constraints and audio seasonality. In Q2 2026, it expects earnings to grow on increased auto supply, and in H2 2026, it will seek to maintain profitable momentum through increased automotive supply and premium audio sales.

Samsung Electronics today announced the global launch of the 32-inch Samsung Spatial Signage (SMHX model), adding a compact format to its glasses-free 3D commercial display lineup. Designed for narrow shelves and counters, it gives brands a flexible way to present product-focused content in full 3D rotation.¹

Smaller Format, Bigger Impact at Shelf Level

The 32-inch model follows the global rollout of the 85-inch Spatial Signage earlier this year. While the 85-inch model is designed for large, high-impact retail installations with life-size product visuals, the 32-inch model brings the same glasses-free 3D experience to shelves, counters and other compact spaces.

Suited for a wide range of environments, including retail, public spaces, entertainment venues, education and hospitality, the smaller format brings immersive 3D content to places where close-up visibility matters most. The 32-inch Spatial Signage helps highlight featured products, promotional content, exhibit information, campus messaging and other high-impact content.

Spatial Signage uses Samsung’s patented 3D Plate technology, which applies binocular parallax to deliver different images to each eye, creating cinematic depth without 3D glasses. It retains full clarity while showing all sides of a product in realistic 360-degree rotation.

Weighing just 8.5 kg with a sleek 49.4 mm slim profile, the 32-inch model features FHD resolution (1,080 x 1,920) in a 9:16 portrait format. Unlike bulky box-type 3D displays, it is lightweight, easy to install and compatible with industry-standard VESA wall mounts for wall or stand placement, much like conventional signage.²

Spatial Signage has earned industry recognition, including a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Enterprise Tech category and a Silver award at the Edison Awards. Going forward, Samsung plans to further expand the Spatial Signage lineup with new sizes, including a 55-inch model.

More Control and Creativity With Samsung VXT

Samsung also announced new updates to Samsung VXT, its cloud-based digital signage platform.³ The update brings new capabilities to Samsung’s full digital signage portfolio,⁴ including Spatial Signage. Businesses can use VXT to manage connected screens across multiple locations, schedule and automate content delivery and create signage-ready video content directly within the platform.

To further enhance remote management, Samsung has added scheduling capabilities to screen presets, allowing screen settings such as brightness, volume and on/off timers to be applied across connected displays at a designated time or according to a set schedule, including outside operating hours. VXT also includes Smart Download, which helps minimize network traffic load by enabling content to be downloaded by some screens and shared with other connected screens on the same network.⁵

Released earlier this month, AI Studio app enables users to create signage-ready videos from a single product image and a text prompt, with an option to upscale output to 4K UHD resolution at 60 frames per second. The app also includes an option to optimize content for Spatial Signage to enhance the overall 3D viewing experience.

Samsung VXT has also expanded its content management capabilities with the following features:

• Event now includes automated content transitions, adding new event types, like weather conditions. This allows businesses to automatically display content based on real-world weather conditions.⁶ For example, signage can promote rain gear in wet weather and switch to sun hats in sunny conditions, allowing businesses to manage content more dynamically across different scenarios.
• Multiple Takeover enables synchronized content transitions across all linked screens based on a preset schedule and playback cycle, allowing centralized control over large-scale content campaigns.
• Streaming Widget enables real-time streaming of live broadcast content directly on connected displays, with support for closed caption settings.

The new feature introduces a Trip timeline that brings all travel-related plans together in a single view, adding structure to busy itineraries and providing a smoother journey from start to finish. When users add eligible items to Samsung Wallet, Trips groups them together based on factors such as time and location, helping travelers keep itineraries in one place despite details coming from different sources.   

Users can manage a range of travel-related experiences, including bookings such as hotels, flight itineraries, car rentals and excursions — as well as tickets for buses, trains, theme parks and sporting events. Trips also supports the ability to manually add itinerary items and include memos alongside saved items to capture key reminders, plans and notes throughout the journey.

Trips underscores Samsung’s ongoing commitment to evolving Samsung Wallet into a more helpful companion in everyday life. Over time, the company will continue to expand Samsung Wallet by adding new features and partner experiences, making it even easier for Samsung Galaxy users to access and manage the essentials they rely on, including while traveling.

Availability

Trips will be available in Samsung Wallet starting April 2026 on compatible Samsung Galaxy mobile phones¹ in Korea, the United States and the United Kingdom.
