Samsung Electronics today unveiled three new kitchen appliances — the Bespoke AI Single 1Door Fridge & Freezer, Bespoke AI Dishwasher and Extractor Induction Hob. Developed under a design philosophy that prioritizes seamless integration and intelligent performance, the lineup brings enhancements across cooling, cooking, ventilation and dish care.

“With this lineup, we’re strengthening Samsung’s position in the premium kitchen by combining seamless design with purposeful intelligence,” said Hyoung Min Park, VP and Head of the Customer Experience Team for the Digital Appliances (DA) Business at Samsung Electronics. “From AI-driven cooling to adaptive dish care and integrated extraction, these appliances are engineered to respond to real usage patterns, helping people create kitchens that are both refined and responsive.”

Precision Cooling and Seamless Access for Modern Kitchens

Bespoke AI Single 1Door Fridge & Freezer offer flexible options to suit different storage needs. The two units can be used together as a coordinated pair or selected individually to expand refrigeration or freezing capacity as required.

They also emphasize usability and seamless design integration. Auto Open Door provides effortless access with a light touch.¹ A built-in touch sensor enables smooth opening, supported by a sensor light for improved visibility and an alert sound when activated. The refrigerator maintains a seamless, flat-front appearance without a handle that naturally aligns with surrounding cabinetry.

Additionally, the fridge introduces enhanced cooling functionality designed to improve freshness management. AI Precise Cooling on the SmartThings App² automatically adjusts the defrost cycle to help maintain consistent internal conditions. The system analyzes usage patterns and schedules defrosting to run when the doors are not opened frequently,³ helping reduce temperature fluctuations and preserve taste, texture and freshness of food over time.

Further, Metal Cooling independently supports temperature stability by retaining cold air and restoring internal temperatures more quickly after the door is opened. Compared with conventional models that have featured a half-sized metal duct on the rear wall, the new model incorporates a full metal duct design across both the rear wall and the door surface.⁴ This expanded structure lowers temperature changes and supports more stable cooling performance.

Energy Efficient Dishwashers With Intelligent Cleaning Performance

The Bespoke AI Dishwasher lineup is designed to address varying energy standards and lifestyle needs across global markets. The range includes A-20%,⁵ A-10%,⁶ A and even B-Grade models in Europe.⁷ For models with the extra energy savings than the Grade A energy rating, an Active Fan Dry system⁸ improves drying efficiency by enhancing internal air circulation and lowering rinse water temperature to reduce heating⁹ demand.

To accommodate different kitchen layouts, the product is available in Fully Built-In, Free-Standing, Semi Built-In and Built-Under types,¹⁰ supporting both integrated cabinetry environments and more traditional kitchen configurations. This enables flexible deployment according to regional requirements and consumer priorities.

Cleaning performance is driven by AI Wash,¹¹ which uses a high-resolution turbidity sensor and machine learning algorithm to measure food particles at each stage of the cycle. Based on this analysis, the system automatically adjusts washing and rinsing times to effectively remove stubborn residue — without the need for pre-rinsing.

The upgraded,¹² space-saving 3rd Rack Washing System further enhances flexibility by providing dedicated zones for cutlery, utensils and drinkware. The drinkware section accommodates up to six cups and is supported by six spinning nozzles for targeted spray coverage. This configuration improves loading efficiency and frees up space in other racks,¹³ enabling better overall organization.

Durable Surface and High-Efficiency Ventilation in One Integrated Appliance

The Extractor Induction Hob integrates the induction cooktop and extractor hood into a single appliance. This makes it particularly suitable for open-plan kitchens and island installations where installing a conventional hood may be challenging. By capturing steam and odors¹⁴ at the source, it helps maintain cleaner air while preserving the openness of modern kitchen spaces.

Even with cooking and ventilation combined in a single unit, it preserves the distinct performance strengths of both functions. Its cooking surface incorporates Samsung’s Anti-Scratch Glass with a Mohs hardness rating of 8,¹⁵ helping resist visible scratches¹⁶ that arise during everyday use. A superhydrophobic coating reduces residue buildup to support easier cleaning, while the matte finish reinforces a refined, modern aesthetic suited to contemporary interiors.

Beyond surface durability, cooking flexibility is also enhanced by Flex Zone Plus, a wide, open cooking area designed to accommodate multiple or larger cookware at the same time. Featuring denser heating¹⁷ elements for more even heat distribution, it supports a variety of cookware shapes and sizes, including longer or oversized dishes.¹⁸ The surface automatically detects¹⁹ the position and size of cookware to activate heating precisely where needed, helping ensure consistent cooking performance.

Ventilation performance is equally impressive. In Boost mode, suction of up to 720 m³/h²⁰ effectively captures steam, smoke and odors at the source. Despite its strong airflow capability, the system achieves A+ energy efficiency,²¹ balancing performance with energy-conscious operation. By integrating cooking and ventilation into one appliance, the Extractor Induction Hob removes the need for a separate hood and supports a more open, streamlined kitchen layout.

Maintenance is simplified through a dishwasher-safe Easy Clean Grease Filter. The stainless-steel filter²² delivers A-grade 95% filtration efficiency²³ to capture oil and grease, while an integrated charcoal filter helps reduce odors and gases. Together, these elements sustain consistent ventilation performance with minimal upkeep.

Conceived as an open laboratory, the exhibition welcomes visitors to Samsung’s design approach, offering a space of exploration, experimentation and discovery. Rather than a finished statement, the exhibition reflects a moment within an ongoing journey, offering an early glimpse into how Samsung is shaping new ways of living through design.

Each of the 12 immersive zones presents a distinct exploration of how design can shape everyday life. The zones are organized around the key experience dimensions of Human Centricity and Expressive Design, which serve as the first touchpoint in showcasing Samsung Design’s vision.

Within these zones, a series of creative explorations illustrates ideas, possibilities and future directions. Through this approach, Samsung Design is making its vision tangible, inviting visitors to engage with design as an evolving, human-centered practice.

Human-Centricity and Expressive Design

Samsung Design is expanding its approach beyond user experience, with a greater focus on how people live and experience everyday life.

“Design should reflect the diversity of humanity — embracing different lifestyles, values and ways people live,” said Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics. “It is not only about creating products, but about shaping experiences that feel relevant, personal and meaningful in everyday life. Through Samsung Design Open Lab, we are sharing how this thinking is shaping our approach to design and future living.”

At the core of Samsung’s vision is a human-centered approach to AI — captured through the formula AI x (EI+HI)¹ — where its true value lies not in the technology itself, but in how it is guided by human intention, empathy and imagination.

While the exhibition explores new directions in design, it reflects a philosophy that has guided Samsung for over 30 years — placing people at the center of innovation. The ideas presented extend that foundation, translating it into new and evolving ways of living.

Design Is an Act of Love, With 12 Immersive Zones

More than 120 products across 36 categories are being showcased at the exhibition’s 12 zones, spanning both design concepts and products currently available in the market.

• Artful Living: A vision of living where screens become expressive mediums of personality, culture and emotion, bringing artwork and content to life in more immersive ways through S95H OLED TV with new forms of AI-enabled storytelling.

• The Goodbye Show: Returning from the Welcome Show, the shared AI companion concludes the exhibition through natural, AI-driven interactions and a sensory performance of music, light and human touch — fostering emotional connection and a sense of presence in everyday life.

Enhanced Family Care Makes It Easier To Check In on Loved Ones

Family Care connects SmartThings with a range of home appliances and mobile devices to provide notifications regarding the activities of users’ aging parents and reminders for medication and hospital visits — as well as location-based alerts. With this update, the service enables even more thoughtful care.

Additionally, Samsung’s new Care on Call¹ feature allows users to more closely check on the status of the care recipient through a simple phone call. When a caregiver using the service calls the care recipient, a floating pop-up that displays key information like the time of the first activity of the day, the most recent activity time and the local weather — all at a glance — appears before the call begins. This helps caregivers ask more meaningful check-in questions and respond accordingly.

SmartThings can also continuously monitor devices like air conditioners, air purifiers, dehumidifiers and humidifiers for indoor temperature, humidity and air quality. If unusual usage patterns are detected, the caregiver is immediately notified and can remotely control the relevant device.²

Family Care has made the Safety Patrol feature — which utilizes SmartThings to send a new Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra to check various areas around the house — even more convenient. If the care recipient’s activity is not detected for a specified period of time, users receive a notification and the feature can be remotely activated if the caregiver needs to take action.³ Using a camera built into the robot vacuum, caregivers can view issues that might occur — such as a person lying incapacitated — and two-way communication through the built-in speaker and microphone allows them to act.

To further enhance the level of care provided to loved ones, the Care Insight feature been enhanced to provide even more actionable, long-term data within the Family Care service. It analyzes factors like temperature and humidity levels, paying attention to whether they deviate from optimal ranges. It also tracks significant changes in activity levels and connected device usage compared to the previous week.

Expansion of Now Brief to TVs and Family Hub

Now Brief delivers a rich AI experience by integrating a broad range of key SmartThings services that help users stay informed about their daily lives, their family members and conditions inside and outside the home.

With the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, Now Brief will support Home Security, Family Care and Pet Care, in addition to existing features that include Home Insight, Energy and the Sleep Environment Report. Through Now Brief, users can access the useful information needed to care for themselves, their families and their homes at a glance.

 Now Brief is set to deliver a consistent customized experience throughout the home,⁴ and will soon roll out in phases to TVs launched in 2024 or later, as well as Family Hub refrigerators launched in 2021 or later.

For added convenience, users will not need to manually launch Now Brief. If the feature is set up in advance, it will be automatically activated when they approach the TV, touch the Family Hub refrigerator screen or open and close the refrigerator door.

And now, whether at home or on the go, the expanded Now Brief helps users stay up to date by providing information such as home device status and energy usage, as well as the sleep status of the previous night, Home Security updates based on door locks, door sensors, and security mode, parents’ daily activity updates and dog-walking information.⁵

Samsung Electronics today announced a new 14-meter standard size for its Onyx (ICD model) cinema LED lineup at CinemaCon 2026, expanding the platform into larger premium auditoriums. The new model is designed for Premium Large Format (PLF) theaters and delivers the same picture quality, reliability and scalability that define the Onyx platform at a larger scale.

As cinemas raise the bar on premium, differentiated experiences, larger-format auditoriums are becoming a key priority for exhibitors. Samsung’s new 14-meter format¹ is designed to meet this demand — enabling greater immersion, optimized seating layouts and more efficient use of theater space.

“People go to premium theaters for something they cannot recreate at home,” said Hyoung Jae Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “That raises the bar for every part of the auditorium, starting with the screen. Samsung’s new 14-meter Onyx gives exhibitors a way to bring the premium experience to larger auditoriums, helping turn moviegoing into a destination again.”

Expanding Premium Cinema Experiences With Screens Up to 20 Meters

Since its debut in 2017, Samsung Onyx has broadened what cinema LED can deliver with deep blacks, rich color and striking contrast. Following last year’s launch of the 5-meter model for boutique theaters and the 10-meter model for premium auditoriums,² Samsung is now expanding the lineup with a 14-meter standard size designed for larger theater environments.

The new model brings the same core Onyx experience — including support for up to 4K 120Hz,³ exceptional clarity and ultra-smooth motion — while introducing two distinctions tailored to the 14-meter format:

• 3.3mm pixel pitch: optimized for the 14-meter format to deliver sharp, consistent image quality on a larger screen.
• Flexible scaling support: enables the 14-meter format to expand up to 20 meters — more than doubling total screen area without compromising presentation quality. Individual LED cabinets can be added to the sides and bottom to achieve the desired size, creating a seamless, floor-to-ceiling visual experience.

As the world’s first DCI-certified cinema LED display,⁴ Onyx supports both scope (2.39:1) and flat (1.85:1) aspect ratios. Samsung’s HDR technology delivers peak brightness of up to 300 nits — approximately six times brighter than conventional cinema standards.⁵ Onyx also achieves 100% color volume at peak brightness, while its infinite contrast ratio enables true black levels for deeper immersion and greater detail in dark scenes.

Beyond traditional movie screenings, Onyx is also well-suited for alternative content such as live sports, concerts, gaming events and corporate presentations. Unlike conventional projection-based systems, the Onyx LED screen delivers consistent brightness and image quality regardless of screen size or seating position. Compatibility with Dolby and GDC media servers also helps support streamlined theater management.

Onyx Builds on Global Adoption Across Premium Cinemas

Since launching the latest Onyx lineup (ICD model) last year, Samsung has expanded its presence in premium cinema through growing exhibitor adoption and high-profile installations. One of the latest examples is Pathé Dar Essalam in Rabat, Morocco, where the latest Onyx has been installed as part of a newly developed premium cinema complex in the city’s luxury district.

Designed in collaboration with Pathé’s headquarters, the venue is positioned as a flagship destination comparable to Pathé Palace in Paris, with all four auditoriums equipped with Onyx displays in 10-meter, 5-meter and scaled 6.4-meter configurations. With 12 Onyx screens in total — including four of the latest Onyx screens — Pathé now operates more Onyx screens than any other cinema company in Europe.

Samsung’s momentum with the latest Onyx lineup also extends to the United States. In December 2025, Trilith Cinemas in Fayetteville, Georgia became the first U.S. theater to premiere the latest generation of Samsung Onyx cinema LED screens, installing them across 5 auditoriums. Located in one of the country’s most active production communities, the theater offers audiences a setting that matches the scale, visual detail and creative intent of the production process.

Samsung Electronics today announced that approximately 34 models across its 2026 TV and soundbar lineup have received Product Carbon Reduction and Product Carbon Footprint certifications from TÜV Rheinland, a globally recognized certification organization based in Germany. The achievement reflects Samsung’s continued efforts to reduce carbon emissions across its premium product lineup.

TÜV Rheinland grants Product Carbon Footprint certification to products that meet international standards for evaluating greenhouse gas emissions across the full product life cycle, including manufacturing, transportation, use and disposal.

Product Carbon Reduction certification, on the other hand, is granted to products that have already received Product Carbon Footprint certification and further demonstrate a measurable reduction in carbon emissions compared with their predecessors. Notably, the HW-Q990H earned both certifications, extending Samsung’s sustainability efforts beyond TVs.

In 2021, Samsung’s Neo QLED became the first TV with 4K resolution or higher to receive Product Carbon Reduction certification. In the six years since, the company has continued to expand its portfolio of certified products across QLED, OLED, Lifestyle TVs, monitors and signage.

Samsung Electronics today announced that its security solution, Samsung Knox, has achieved Common Criteria (CC) certification for monitors, expanding the verified security it has maintained on smart TVs for a decade.

CC certification is a global standard used to assess the security integrity of products that need data protection, providing an international framework that consolidates various assessment criteria from different countries and facilitates mutual recognition. Since 2015, Samsung has consistently received CC certification for its new products to verify the reliability of its security technology, and with this latest achievement, it has become the first manufacturer to receive CC certification for both monitors and smart TVs.

“Connected displays have become central to how we work and live, making verified security essential,” said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President of Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “With Samsung Knox now certified on both smart TVs and monitors, we’re delivering that protection consistently across our products.”

Samsung Knox protects users from cyber threats such as hacking, particularly in areas requiring robust security like AI home control, AI voice recognition and credit card transactions.

The CC certification emphasizes three key security features of Samsung Knox:

• System Integrity Monitor (SIM): Provides real-time monitoring of the kernel to ensure system integrity.
• Web Browser Security (WBS): Blocks phishing websites to safeguard users while browsing the internet.
• Unauthorized Execution Prevention (UEP): Validates digital signatures to prevent unauthorized actions.

Samsung Knox also ensures a strong security environment with its multi-layered architecture, which includes TrustZone, a hardware-based independent security layer; Knox Vault, a separate layer for sensitive data; and Knox Matrix, a security management layer for connected devices.¹

At its booth, Samsung is presenting its latest Bespoke AI WindFree Pro air conditioner, featuring a refreshed exterior design that complements modern living spaces. To elevate everyday comfort, it offers an expanded range of personalized cooling experiences, building on Samsung’s WindFree heritage.

At the heart of the model is Motion Wind — a three-blade system¹ that creates seven tailored airflow patterns,² ranging from powerful Max Wind for rapid cooling to gentle WindFree for draft-free comfort. The two AI-driven modes³ are AI Direct Wind, which follows the user with targeted airflow for immediate cooling, and AI Indirect Wind, which keeps the user comfortable without blowing air directly onto them.

The model also features AI Fast & Comfort Cooling,⁴ which analyzes indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity and room size to automatically activate the right cooling mode — Fast Cooling for instant temperature reduction, WindFree for comfortable draft-free cooling and Dry Comfort for pleasant dehumidification without cold air. Users can also activate AI Energy Mode via the SmartThings app, which analyzes usage patterns and environmental conditions to reduce energy consumption by up to 30%.⁵

All-in-One Heat Pump System for Year-Round Home Comfort

In the EHS zone, Samsung is spotlighting an all-in-one heat pump system that combines a single outdoor unit with an indoor unit (EHS ClimateHub) to support space heating, cooling and domestic hot water through both air and water in one integrated system.

The system enables flexible, year-round residential operation, supporting simultaneous functions such as water-based space heating with air heating, water cooling with air cooling or hot water supply combined with air heating — delivering adaptable comfort across seasons. The fully integrated design also enables efficient heat recovery; rather than discharging heat absorbed during cooling outdoors, the system can redirect it for water-based space heating or domestic hot water production — and vice versa. This results in a COP of up to 8.2,⁶ making it a highly energy-efficient solution for year-round residential comfort.

Strengthening HVAC Solutions for Various Commercial Needs

Samsung is also showcasing a broad lineup of commercial HVAC solutions, including DVM systems and chiller offerings tailored to diverse building requirements.

This includes Samsung’s latest VRF system, named DVM S2+. The new DVM S2+ is equipped with R32 refrigerant in line with global standards, as well as built-in safety measures that ensure peace of mind. DVM S2+ also comes with on-device AI features that add convenience.⁷ For example, AI Adaptive Control⁸ adjusts the outdoor unit’s performance based on its surroundings to help reduce energy usage by up to 25%⁹ under certain conditions.

Another key highlight at MCE 2026 is the inclusion of solutions from FläktGroup, a leading European HVAC specialist whose acquisition has strengthened Samsung’s applied HVAC capabilities — particularly in large-scale facilities such as data centers. Under the MOU, Samsung and AMD will align on primary HBM4 supply for the next-generation AMD AI accelerator, the AMD Instinct MI455X GPU, as well as advanced DRAM solutions for 6^th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs, codenamed “Venice.” These technologies will support next-generation AI systems combining AMD Instinct GPUs, AMD EPYC CPUs and rack-scale architectures such as the AMD Helios platform.

Samsung and AMD are closely collaborating on advanced memory technologies for AI and data center workloads. As memory bandwidth and power efficiency become increasingly critical to system-level performance, this collaboration will help deliver more optimized AI infrastructure for customers.

An industry-first to enter mass production, Samsung’s HBM4 is built on its most advanced 6th-generation 10-nanometer (nm)-class DRAM process (1c) and a 4nm logic base die, featuring processing speeds of up to 13 gigabits-per-second (Gbps) and maximum 3.3 terabytes-per-second (TB/s) bandwidth that exceeds industry standards.

Powered by Samsung HBM4’s industry-leading performance, reliability and energy efficiency, the AMD Instinct MI455X GPU is expected to be the optimum solution for high-performance systems handling AI model training and inference.

The MI455X GPU will serve as a key building block for the AMD Helios rack-scale architecture, designed to deliver the performance and scalability required for next-generation AI infrastructure.

As part of their collaboration, Samsung and AMD will also work together on high-performance DDR5 memory optimized for the 6^th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs. The companies aim to deliver industry-leading DDR5 memory solutions for systems built on the AMD Helios rack-scale architecture.

The two companies will also discuss opportunities for foundry partnership, through which Samsung would provide foundry services for next-generation AMD products.

Samsung Electronics today announced that it will host an exhibition titled “Design is an Act of Love” at Milan Design Week 2026. Immersive in nature, the exhibition will explore the Human Side of Tech through a dialogue between experimental concepts and the latest commercial products.

The exhibition takes the form of Samsung Design Open Lab, a space imagined as a laboratory for exploration, experimentation and discovery. Within the space, Samsung invites visitors to explore how ideas take shape, offering a glimpse of how human-centered and expressive design can transform technology into a more personal, emotional and meaningful presence in everyday life.

What visitors experience in Milan represents a moment in an ongoing journey — an early expression of how Samsung is reimagining the relationship between technology and everyday life, as well as a signal of the direction in which its design vision is headed.

The centerpiece of Samsung’s showcase at NVIDIA GTC 2026 will be the new sixth-generation HBM4, which is now in mass production and is designed for the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform. Samsung’s HBM4 is expected to help accelerate the development of future AI applications, delivering consistent processing speeds of 11.7 gigabits-per-second (Gbps), which exceeds the industry standard of 8Gbps, and can be enhanced to 13Gbps.

By leveraging the most advanced sixth-generation 10-nanometer (nm)-class DRAM process (1c), Samsung has achieved stable yields and industry-leading performance. The company’s next-generation HBM4E, delivering 16Gbps per pin and 4.0 terabytes-per-second (TB/s) bandwidth, will be on display as well for the first time at GTC 2026.

Visitors will also be able to catch a glimpse of Samsung’s hybrid copper bonding (HCB) technology, a new method that will enable next-generation HBM to achieve 16 or more layers while reducing heat resistance by more than 20 percent, compared to thermal compression bonding (TCB).

An Alliance Taking the AI Era to the Next Level

The strong collaboration between Samsung and NVIDIA will be highlighted in the booth’s separate ‘NVIDIA Gallery,’ specifically featuring a broad lineup of Samsung’s cutting-edge technologies, such as HBM4, SOCAMM2 and PM1763 SSD that are designed for NVIDIA AI infrastructure.

Addressing the need for maximum efficiency and scalability in AI systems, Samsung’s SOCAMM2 based on low-power DRAM is an optimum server memory module that offers high bandwidth and flexible system integration for next-generation AI infrastructure. Samsung’s SOCAMM2 is currently in mass production, an industry-first to reach that milestone.

Designed for next-generation AI storage solutions, Samsung’s PM1763 SSD is based on the latest PCIe 6.0 interface offering fast data transfers and high capacities. The industry-leading PM1763 performance will be demonstrated on servers working with the NVIDIA SCADA programming model.

As part of the new NVIDIA BlueField-4 STX reference architecture for accelerated storage infrastructure in NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform, Samsung’s PM1753 SSD will show how it helps to enhance energy efficiency and system performance for inference workloads.

Memory Architecture To Scale Intelligent Manufacturing

Samsung will showcase its collaboration with NVIDIA on AI Factory development at GTC 2026, including plans to implement NVIDIA accelerated computing to scale Samsung’s AI Factory and fast-track digital twin manufacturing that leverage NVIDIA Omniverse libraries. This collaboration powers one of the world’s most comprehensive chip manufacturing infrastructures ― spanning memory, logic, foundry and advanced packaging.

Separately, Yong Ho Song, Executive Vice President and Head of AI Center at Samsung Electronics, will illustrate the two companies’ strategic collaboration in further detail through his speaker session on March 17, 2026. Titled ‘Transforming Semiconductor Manufacturing with Agentic AI from Design and Engineering to Production,’ the session will elaborate on the company’s AI Factory and share innovative end-to-end real-life use cases where AI and digital twins are reshaping semiconductor manufacturing with breakthroughs in electronic design automation (EDA) and computational lithography to designing and operating advanced manufacturing facilities powered by NVIDIA.

Efficient Memory for Local Intelligence

Samsung’s memory solutions also offer maximized efficiency for local AI workloads on personal devices. During GTC 2026, Samsung will showcase tailored and efficient solutions for personal AI supercomputers, including the Samsung PM9E3 and PM9E1 NAND for NVIDIA DGX Spark.

Additionally, Samsung will display DRAM solutions, LPDDR5X and LPDDR6, that are designed for seamless integration into premium smartphones, tablets and wearable devices, offering faster data throughput and lower latency. LPDDR5X delivers speeds of up to 25Gbps per pin, while cutting power consumption by up to 15 percent, enabling ultra‑responsive mobile experiences, high‑resolution gaming and AI‑enhanced applications without sacrificing battery life.

According to new research from Future Source, Samsung captured 21.5% of global soundbar revenue and 19.7% of unit volume in 2025, continuing its leadership streak that began in 2014. Samsung Electronics today announced that its Micro RGB TV (R95H model) has received both the Safety for Eyes and Circadian Rhythm Display (CRD) certifications from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), a leading global testing institute based in Germany.

Derived from VDE’s broader EyeCare Circadian certification, these certifications adopt a more refined evaluation framework, independently verifying eye safety and circadian rhythm support for a more rigorous assessment of display performance. This shift provides consumers with a more comprehensive assurance of comfortable viewing experiences.

Specifically, the Safety for Eyes certification evaluates display safety for prolonged viewing by analyzing light emissions from digital devices, with a particular focus on blue light and its impact on eye health. Meanwhile, the CRD certification examines how well a display supports the user’s biological clock. It measures the display’s ability to mimic natural light by adjusting color temperature and brightness based on time of day, while also reducing blue light in the evening to prevent melatonin suppression — supporting natural circadian rhythm and visual comfort.

Samsung Electronics today shared its plan to expand support for glasses-free 3D gameplay on the Samsung Odyssey 3D gaming monitor. At GDC Festival of Gaming 2026 in San Francisco, Samsung will spotlight Hell Is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn as part of its expanding 3D gaming ecosystem, demonstrating how leading titles are embracing immersive display without the need for special glasses.

Gaming’s Most Acclaimed Titles Become Fully Immersive 3D Experiences — Expanding Partnerships With Leading Developers

Hell Is Us, the critically acclaimed action-adventure horror game from Rogue Factor, will arrive on Samsung’s Odyssey 3D ecosystem in March, becoming a part of the first wave of newly added 3D-enabled titles for 2026.

Cronos: The New Dawn, developed by Bloober Team, will join this expanding 3D gaming library by the end of the year. This survival horror game, which has received generally positive reviews from critics, will provide an immersive gaming experience by integrating with the 3D technology.

Both titles will be playable in 3D through the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub, the company’s dedicated 3D content platform, which already supports over 60 titles. 

In addition to 3D gaming technology, Samsung offers HDR10+ GAMING, which delivers optimized HDR performance to each game by automatically analyzing each scene and frame, thereby enhancing immersion. Since 2022, the company has integrated HDR10+ GAMING into its Odyssey gaming monitors and TVs featuring refresh rates above 120Hz.

Samsung has partnered with top video game studio CD PROJEKT RED as part of its commitment to advancing display technology alongside leading developers.

This collaboration will explore how technology can be advanced to increase the immersion of video games for players, and Samsung is already working with CD PROJEKT RED to integrate HDR10+ GAMING into its hit video game Cyberpunk 2077.

Additionally, Samsung announced the expansion of its HDR10+ GAMING partnership with Pearl Abyss. HDR10+ GAMING will be featured in Pearl Abyss’s upcoming open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert, set to launch in March, ensuring gamers enjoy a premium HDR experience.

The Full Odyssey Experience Comes to GDC 2026

At GDC 2026, Samsung will host hands-on demo sessions for journalists and industry experts to gain an up-close look at its latest Odyssey monitors and an opportunity to play Hell Is Us in 3D before the public.

Samsung had held the top position in the global TV market since 2006, and according to market research firm Omdia, the company recorded a 29.1% share of the global TV market in 2025. The test call was made on the Intel Xeon 6 SoC optimized for vRAN software capable of supporting intensive workloads, AI applications and services across 2G, 4G and 5G networks on a single high-performance server. This streamlined configuration paves the way for Vodafone to manage fewer systems and less hardware that perform on par or better than traditional RAN baseband solutions, while reducing costs, energy consumption and providing a more flexible foundation to introduce AI throughout its network. This milestone was achieved in tandem with ecosystem partners, Dell Technologies (server) and Wind River (cloud platform) and will be commercially deployed during 2026.

The announcement builds on the selection of Samsung as a key strategic partner for Vodafone’s deployment of Open RAN at scale across Europe. Together, the companies deployed their first Open RAN test site in Germany last year and have been extending the technology to additional commercial sites. Later this year, the Hanseatic city of Wismar in the federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is set to become the first city in the Vodafone mobile network in Germany to be fully equipped with Open RAN. With network performance matching or exceeding that of traditional hardware-based solutions, Vodafone’s Open RAN deployment in Germany is on track to cover broader regions in the country in a phased approach, driven by the rapid integration of the latest processor advancements.

Once a compatible smart door lock is set up through Samsung SmartThings¹ using Matter, the global smart home standard, users can add a Digital Home Key to Samsung Wallet as part of the door lock onboarding process. Depending on device and lock capabilities, users can unlock their door by tapping their smartphone using near-field communication (NFC) technology,² using hands-free access with ultra-wideband (UWB)’s³ proximity detection or remotely through the app.

Samsung Wallet’s Digital Home Key adopts the Aliro standard, an industry-standardized communication protocol developed by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), to enable secure, interoperable digital keys for smart locks. Along these lines, Samsung is collaborating with leading smart lock brands to support Samsung Wallet Digital Home Key, including Aqara, Nuki, Schlage and Xthings.⁴

Digital Home Keys are securely stored within Samsung Wallet on the device and safeguarded by Samsung Knox,⁵ Samsung’s industry-leading security platform. The solution is designed to align with EAL6+⁶ grade certification standards, providing robust protection against unauthorized access to digital keys.

With this level of protection, users maintain control over their Digital Home Key, even if a device is misplaced. Access can be remotely managed or removed using Samsung Find, while biometric or PIN authentication within Samsung Wallet ensures that only authorized users can manage and use their home keys.

Samsung Wallet Digital Home Key began rolling out in select regions in March 2026 and will expand in alignment with the launch timeline of compatible smart lock brands.

Recently, Samsung was selected by Videotron to deploy its 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) and 4G LTE Core gateway solutions, powered by AMD EPYC 9005 Series CPUs. At MWC 2026, Samsung will demonstrate its AI-RAN breakthrough developments by leveraging its AI-powered vRAN with AMD EPYC processors. Following last year’s validation milestone, both companies will introduce the successful results of multi-cell testing conducted at Samsung’s R&D Lab, enabling scalable deployments and greater processor flexibility within software-based network environments.

In the U.S., T911, text and data services have been supported in collaboration with T-Satellite with Starlink by T-Mobile since 2025 on select Galaxy flagship and Galaxy A series models released after the Galaxy S21 series. Meanwhile, Verizon offers eSOS and text services on all Galaxy flagship models following the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung is also working with AT&T to support satellite communication features on Galaxy smartphones.

In Europe, in collaboration with Virgin Media O2, satellite communication will now be available on select Galaxy smartphones. Joint trials will begin in March with MasOrange in Spain. Samsung is also working with Vodafone to support satellite communication features on Galaxy smartphones.

In Japan, since 2025, satellite communication-based text, data functions and the Earthquake and Tsunami Warning System (ETWS) have been provided on Galaxy S22 and later flagship and Galaxy A series devices through KDDI. Additionally, in collaboration with SoftBank and docomo, satellite communication features will be available on select Galaxy flagship and Galaxy A series devices starting in 2026. Samsung is also working with Rakuten Mobile to gradually support satellite communication features on Galaxy smartphones.

Progress on Galaxy for the Planet

Samsung has achieved all four of its 2025 sustainability goals for the Galaxy for the Planet initiative, which was designed to reduce the environmental impact of the company’s mobile products and operations.

A core focus has been expanding the use of recycled and responsibly sourced materials across Galaxy products.¹ Today, Samsung has applied 10 types of recycled materials² in both exterior and interior components, supported by ongoing research, testing and verification.

One area of progress is enhancing circularity through innovation in materials. Samsung has incorporated recycled plastics recovered from ocean-bound, discarded fishing nets, and continues its efforts in closed-loop systems such as its Circular Battery Supply Chain, which enables the recovery and reuse of materials from previously used Galaxy device batteries.

Samsung also eliminated single-use plastics from its mobile packaging, transitioning to paper-based and recycled alternatives.³ At the same time, continued research and development in low standby power technology has reduced standby power consumption in Galaxy mobile phone chargers to near-zero levels — an innovation now applied across multiple charger wattages.⁴

Across manufacturing operations, Samsung has advanced landfill waste reduction by implementing Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) practices globally. All 10 qualifying mobile manufacturing sites⁵ have achieved the Platinum designation for ZWTL under the UL Solutions standard, reflecting landfill diversion rates of 100 percent. Such waste management practices are adapted to regional regulations and infrastructure, as well.

These achievements reflect Samsung’s progress under Galaxy for the Planet and provide momentum to expand the initiative further. With its initial targets met on schedule, Samsung is expanding its environmental commitments with new goals through 2030.

Deepening Our Commitments to the Environment

For its next phase, Galaxy for the Planet will expand beyond product-level initiatives to address the broader environmental and ecological impact of Samsung’s global operations. The new 2030 goals will focus on three key areas: circularity, water stewardship and biodiversity.

• Advancing Circularity

Samsung will continue to advance circularity across its mobile products, with the aim of incorporating at least one recycled material in every module of every mobile product. This underscores the company’s commitment to more responsible and efficient materials sourcing across the Galaxy ecosystem.⁶

• Strengthening Water Stewardship

Samsung is deepening its approach to water stewardship across its mobile operations,⁷ with the goal of returning 110 percent of the water consumed. This includes pursuing the highest level of Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) certification for responsible water management practices.⁸

• Conserving Ecosystems

Recognizing that its operations can have an impact on surrounding ecosystems, Samsung has set a goal to conserve ecosystems equivalent to the footprint of its global mobile operations.⁹ This goal focuses on protecting and restoring natural environments in ways that strengthen biodiversity and ecological resilience around Samsung’s global footprint.

Bixby understands the intent and takes the appropriate action, reducing the time and effort required to manage everyday device settings and features.

For example, a user could say, “I don’t want the screen to time out while I’m still looking at it.” Bixby understands the request and immediately turns on the ‘Keep Screen on While Viewing’ setting — without requiring them to navigate through settings or know the feature’s exact name.

Rather than offering generic instructions, Bixby can also identify the current settings of the device and suggest various possible solutions. This reduces trial and error, helping people complete tasks more quickly, even when they are unfamiliar with the device or its features.

If a user asks, “Why is my phone screen always on when it’s inside my pocket?” Bixby will use the context of the situation and bring up relevant settings, such as Accidental Touch Protection, allowing them to turn it on directly.

Bixby also supports real-time web search capabilities. Now it can access live and up-to-date information, with results appearing within Bixby’s own user interface. This means people can explore topics and get answers to questions as part of one consistent and seamless experience.² Without being redirected to a separate browser or app, users can find what they need more quickly and stay focused on the task at hand.

Bespoke AI: Smart, Connected and Reliable Kitchen Innovation

Also, on display at KBIS is the Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub, which features the innovation AI Vision. Powered by advanced camera-based recognition technology. This allows users to effortlessly check the contents of their refrigerator and efficiently manage ingredient lists.² Previously, the system could recognize up to 37 types of fresh food and 50 types of pre-registered processed food directly on-device.³ Samsung plans to enhance this feature to overcome existing limitations, enabling recognition of an even greater variety of food items.

A diverse range of Bespoke AI products — including dishwashers, ovens and laundry appliances — are also on display for KBIS visitors to experience. Setting the Bar for Maximum Performance and Efficiency

Samsung’s HBM4 delivers a consistent processing speed of 11.7 gigabits-per-second (Gbps), exceeding the industry standard of 8Gbps by approximately 46% and setting a new benchmark for HBM4 performance. This represents a 1.22x increase over the maximum pin speed of 9.6Gbps of its predecessor, HBM3E. HBM4’s performance can be further enhanced up to 13Gbps, as well, effectively mitigating data bottlenecks that intensify as AI models continue to scale up.

Also, total memory bandwidth per single stack is increased by 2.7x compared to HBM3E, to a maximum of 3.3 terabytes-per-second (TB/s).

Through 12-layer stacking technology, Samsung offers HBM4 in capacities ranging from 24 gigabytes (GB) to 36GB. The company will also keep its capacity options aligned with future customer timelines by utilizing 16-layer stacking, which will expand offerings to up to 48GB.

In order to address power consumption and thermal challenges driven by the doubling of data I/Os from 1,024 to 2,048 pins, Samsung has integrated advanced low-power design solutions into the core die. HBM4 also achieves a 40% improvement in power efficiency by leveraging low-voltage through silicon via (TSV) technology and power distribution network (PDN) optimization, while enhancing thermal resistance by 10% and heat dissipation by 30%, compared to HBM3E.

By bringing outstanding performance, energy efficiency and high reliability to tomorrow’s datacenter environments, Samsung’s HBM4 enables customers to achieve maximized GPU throughput and effectively manage their total cost of ownership (TCO).

Comprehensive Yet Agile Production Capabilities

Samsung is committed to advancing its HBM roadmap through its comprehensive manufacturing resources — including one of the largest DRAM production capacities and dedicated infrastructures in the industry — ensuring a resilient supply chain to meet the projected surge in HBM4 demand.

A tightly integrated Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) between the company’s Foundry and Memory Businesses allows it to secure the highest standards of quality and yield. Samsung anticipates that its HBM sales will more than triple in 2026 compared to 2025, and is proactively expanding its HBM4 production capacity. Following the successful introduction of HBM4 to market, sampling for HBM4E is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, while custom HBM samples will start reaching customers in 2027, according to their respective specifications.

To support the Opening Ceremony experience, Galaxy devices will be integrated throughout the live broadcast production environment, enabled by the portability, superior camera quality and 5G connectivity of Galaxy S25 Ultra.
