The conference drew a lot of attention as it showcased innovations from top industry companies, including Samsung Electronics. <p>The “Samsung Kiosk” Windows version (Model Name: KMC-W) allows businesses and retailers to optimize the customer experience with expanded support for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise OS. With its enhanced capabilities and all-in-one functionality, the Samsung Kiosk won an ‘ISE Best of Show’ by AV Technology. While exploring the booth, one manager from the retail industry said the Kiosk “is a great solution to attract customers and create a seamless experience.”</p>

While discussing The Wall, a professional from the European signage industry noted, “The photo quality is brilliant thanks to the incredibly small pixel pitch.”</span></p>

<p>The Samsung Flip Pro makes it easier than ever to collaborate with a seamless environment. Users can connect to the Flip with multiple devices at once, edit documents and share content in real time. The Flip Pro’s industry-leading features earned it three awards at ISE: ‘ISE Best of Show’ by Tech & Learning, the ‘Top New Technology (TNT) Awards’ for Interactive Whiteboards and the ‘2023 INAVATION Awards’ for Communication & Collaboration Display Product. Visitors to the booth enjoyed testing the whiteboard and expressed satisfaction with the interface’s usability.</p>

<h3><span style="color: #000080">Eco-Conscious Outdoor Signage That Shines</span></h3>
<p>The new model of the Outdoor LED Signage XHB series delivers a peak brightness of 8,000 nits and can be installed in Concave, Convex, S shape, Fascia or 90 °L type shapes. The new XHB series has also been upgraded to be more eco-conscious, with power consumption reduced by over 15% compared to the previous model. One viewer commented that the LED signage “marks a new chapter for Samsung and is one of the standout features of the booth.”</p>

<p>Samsung’s cloud-based MagicINFO makes ‘Remote Management’ easy. Through Remote Management function, users can monitor a number of connected signages and manage settings like volume and screen brightness, plus troubleshoot from a single online portal. This leads to fewer site visits for an efficient management of multiple signage, on top of preventing the energy wastes by easily dimming or turning off signage when they’re not needed.</p>

The 24-inch outdoor signage features high-temperature resistant liquid crystal, which is less affected by sunlight and shows great performance in bright conditions. With peak brightness levels of 1,500 nits and UL verification for outdoor visibility, the OH24B displays content clearly outdoors <span><span class="ui-provider vh b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak">—</span></span> even in direct sunlight.</p>

<p>The current global climate is prompting behavioral shifts across the world, requiring both consumers and businesses to adapt to new ways of life. One result of this has been a renewed appreciation for the importance of digital communications, with the digital OOH market <a href="https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20200426005006/en/Pre-Post-COVID-19-Market-Estimates--Digital-OOH" target="_blank" rel="noopener">poised to grow</a> by 8.72 billion USD between 2020 and 2023.</p>
<p>Below, I explore some industries and businesses that have a unique opportunity to adapt to these changing times by utilizing digital displays to provide customers with full access to the information they need, when they need it.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #000080"><strong>Consumers on the Move</strong></span></h3>
<p>These days, consumer-brand interactions are defined by reduced facetime and increased communication through screens and digital displays. These shifting habits have presented an opportunity for retail and quick service restaurant (QSR) businesses to make use of eye-catching visual solutions that deliver information, improve engagement and build brand affinity.</p>

<p>One example of this is drive-through restaurants, which in March of this year generated $8.3 billion in the U.S., up from $8 billion over the same period in 2019 (<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/01/business/coronavirus-fast-food-drive-throughs.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported by the New York Times</a>, citing data from NPD Group). Companies with drive-through capabilities have gained a strong competitive edge, leading QSR providers to commit more resources to expanding drive-through capabilities and digital aspects of the consumer experience.</p>

<p>In South Korea, Samsung has been commissioned to supply SMART Outdoor Signage for the Starbucks Uiwang Cheonggye drive-through store, in addition to all future Starbucks drive-thru locations – which account for 40% of the approximately 120 new stores that open in Korea every year. SMART outdoor signage is set to play a pivotal role in how consumers engage with brands going forward, and with IP56-rated water and dust resistance, as well as excellent visibility – even under direct sunlight – Samsung solutions are ready to answer the call.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #000080"><strong>Increased Collaboration</strong></span></h3>
<p>In these times, video conferencing has quickly become an important platform for communicating with friends, family, customers and businesses, resulting in a record 62 million video conferencing app downloads in the week of March 14-21 alone <a href="https://www.appannie.com/en/insights/market-data/video-conferencing-apps-surge-coronavirus/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to App Annie</a>. Technologies like these that facilitate broader collaboration have been praised as the future of work, but they are now facing their greatest test to date. While some solutions have thrived, others have not adapted as well, demonstrating the importance of establishing intelligent, reliable, seamless and visually impactful solutions.</p>
<p>For many, the concept of the ‘workplace’ has recently shifted from the office to the home, making the ability to reliably share content and information electronically more important than ever before.</p>

In fact, signage is completely changing the way we interact with the world around us.</p>
<h3><span style="color: #000080">Signage is Everywhere</span></h3>
<p>For example, with the incorporation of the Internet of Things and big data, signage allows for a <a href="https://news.samsung.com/global/samsung-smart-signage-to-transform-the-way-we-shop" target="_blank" rel="noopener">more personalized shopping experience</a>. This is exemplified in new displays that utilize consumers’ shopping histories to recommend specific products, or allow customers to see virtual models that share their height, weight and even hair color posing in a selected outfit.</p>
<p>Restaurants, too, are leveraging digital signage to enhance the dining experience through interactive digital menus that let diners easily customize their orders.</p>
<p>At concerts and sporting events, digital signage provides a full view for all so that not a minute of the action is missed. With the addition of AR technology, the audience can learn about the performers or players in a way like never before, taking entertainment to an entirely new level.</p>

<p>According to Mordor Intelligence estimates, the global digital signage market was valued at $14.9 billion in 2015, with a projected annual growth rate of eight percent. At this rate, digital signage will continue to escalate to $21.9 billion in value by 2020.</p>
