Samsung India’s popular television and digital campaign showcasing its initiative of taking customer service to the doorsteps of consumers in India’s hinterlands has topped the YouTube ads leaderboard for 2017 with 150 million views globally.

Conceptualised by Cheil WW India, the four-minute long film #SamsungService was launched on December 30, 2016 and quickly went on to cross 100 million views on YouTube in just seven weeks of its launch.

The heartwarming film is also the highest-viewed advertising video in the Consumer Electronics and Smartphones category worldwide and the highest-viewed advertising video on YouTube across all categories in India.

“We are extremely delighted that Samsung India Service video has ranked No. 1 in the YouTube 2017 Ads Leaderboard. The leaderboard showcases the most engaging ads that people watch on YouTube. This is a testimony of consumer love and trust in brand Samsung. Through the customer service vans, we have brought world class service to the doors of Samsung consumers in each and every corner of India,” said Mr. Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung India.

The Samsung India service campaign ‘We’ll Take Care of You, Wherever You Are’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=779KwjAYTeQ) showcases the journey of a young Samsung engineer on his way to provide services in a remote village in India, highlighting Samsung’s vision of creating long-lasting relationships with its consumers through timely service.

“150 million views. Put differently, one in seven Indians has seen the film. That’s the power of a story told with heart. No wonder it has found love not just in jury rooms but on the street as well. It’s a matter of great joy for us that one of the most loved brands of India has managed this first for the country,” said Tarvinderjit Singh, Executive Creative Director, Cheil.

In October last year, Samsung, India’s most trusted brand in the mobile and consumer durables categories, strengthened its commitment to provide quality customer service in both urban and rural India by augmenting its service network with 535 service vans. With this, Samsung India’s service network has grown to over 3,000 from 2,000 service points earlier, extending its reach to customers in over 6,000 talukas across the country. Samsung now has the largest service network in the mobile and consumer durables categories in India.

Samsung India has deployed its Customer Service Vans in Assam to provide relief to flood victims in the state. These Customer Service Vans, which were introduced in the state to provide quality service to Samsung consumers in rural India, travelled to a remote village, Laharighat, in Morigaon district around Guwahati to help flood affected families.

Samsung has also set up Service Camps in Assam and Bihar for its customers from September 10 to September 20, offering free labour on flood affected products and up to 50% discount on parts.

“Samsung stands firmly with the people of Assam during this time of need. We are glad that our Customer Service Vans deployed in the state have been able to reach these families and provide relief on time,” said Mr. Anurag Prashar, Vice President, Customer Satisfaction, Samsung India.

Assam has been impacted by heavy floods which have affected thousands in the state. Taking swift action, Samsung Service Vans carried packets of rice and mosquito nets and distributed it amongst the families in Laharighat village on the banks of the Brahmaputra river in coordination with local authorities.

Earlier, in January this year, Samsung had launched Customer Service Vans for Assam to reach out to 54 talukas across the state. These Service Vans have so far travelled close to 2 lakh kilometres across the length and breadth of Assam. Driven by locals who work with Samsung, these Service Vans have been travelling through difficult terrain across the hinterland and semi-urban regions across the state to attend to service calls from consumers.

The familiarity of the Samsung Service Van drivers helped in navigating through the flood affected areas and provide relief to this village in Morigaon district. These service vans have been designed to carry key components for repair, a DG set and key jigs and fixtures for providing quick response and on-spot resolution along with a multi-skilled engineer.

In October 2016, Samsung augmented its service network by adding 535 service vans and strengthened its commitment to provide quality customer service in both urban and rural India. With this, Samsung’s reach will extend to customers in over 6,000 talukas across 29 states and 7 union territories, making Samsung’s service network the largest in this industry in India.

Today, Samsung has the widest reach of service centres with trained service engineers. This team goes to the deepest parts of the country to service the needs of our customers. Samsung has also added over 250 service points and over 250 resident engineers, ramping up its service network to over 3,000 service points, from 2,000 earlier.

These vans have helped Samsung deliver its world-class service ‘Anytime, Everywhere’. Consumers can access the service vans by dialing 1800-40-SAMSUNG (1800-40-7267864).

It’s a campaign that has touched a 100 million hearts. Literally!

Samsung India’s Customer Service campaign has entered the record books, after getting over 100 million hits on social networking site YouTube, in just seven weeks of its launch.

The #SamsungService campaign film – ‘We’ll Take Care of You, Wherever You Are’ – showcases Samsung’s initiative of taking customer service to the doorsteps of consumers in the hinterlands of the country.

It went viral when it was launched on December 30, 2016, getting nearly 20 million hits on YouTube in the first week itself. Now, nearly a month and a half later, the film has become the highest-viewed advertising video in the Consumer Electronics and Smartphones category worldwide and the highest-viewed advertising video on YouTube across all categories in India.

The film is also the fastest among advertising videos on YouTube in India to cross 100 million views and has so far garnered nearly 225,000 consumer engagements on various social media platforms.

“The service campaign video crossing 100 million views on YouTube is a testimony of consumer love and trust in brand Samsung,” said Mr. Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung India.

Samsung India’s film has been lauded as “unconventional”, considering the company refrained from talking about its products in the campaign. Instead, the storyline depicts the emotional story of a Samsung Service Van Engineer, who goes out of his way to provide service in a remote village in India, highlighting Samsung’s vision of creating long-lasting relationship with its consumers through timely service.

The four-minute-long film, conceptualized by Cheil India, has won praise from international audience too.

“#SamsungService film has had a great emotional impact around the world. We are thankful to Samsung for giving us the opportunity to touch people’s hearts with this film,” said Mr. Sagar Mahabaleshwar, Chief Creative Officer, Cheil India.

Samsung India, the country’s ‘Most Trusted’ brand in the mobile and consumer durables categories, had strengthened its commitment to provide quality customer service in both urban and rural India by augmenting its service network with 535 service vans in October 2016.

In the first phase of this initiative, 10 Service Vans were flagged off in the city by Mr. Anurag Prashar, Vice President, Customer Satisfaction in the presence of key dealers and distributors. These vans will connect 248 Talukas across the state. Each van, equipped with DG set and key fixtures, has a multi-skilled engineer for providing quick response and on-spot resolution of complaints. This unique customer service initiative for consumers across India was launched earlier this year and will see a total of 535 Service Vans connecting 6,000 Talukas.

Samsung India, the country’s biggest and most trusted consumer electronics company, has announced a unique customer service initiative for consumers across India, bringing its world-class service to the doorsteps of lakhs of rural and semi-urban customers.

(Samsung’s new digital campaign, showcasing the company’s promise of doorstep customer service)

The pioneering move, which sets a new benchmark for customer service in India, involves the launch of 535 brand new service vans that will run around to reach consumers quickly and resolve their problem in the first visit only.

Each van, equipped with DG set and key fixtures, will have a multi-skilled engineer for providing quick response and on-spot resolution of complaints.

To complement the service vans, over 250 service points and over 250 resident engineers have also been added within one month. These resident engineers will be located in remote areas and help reach out to Samsung’s consumers in their local areas.

The new initiative takes Samsung’s tally of touch points to over 3,000, helping Samsung extend its lead as the country’s largest service network in the industry.

These vans will help Samsung deliver its world class service ‘Anytime, Everywhere’. Consumers can access the service vans by dialing 1800-40-SAMSUNG (1800-40-7267864).

These vans will not only help in faster adoption of technology among rural customers, but will also provide skills and employment in areas that need them most.

All of 29 vans – representing India’s 29 states, 7 union territories and 6,000 talukas covering several thousand villages – were flagged off by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Tourism & Culture, Government of India and Mr. HC Hong, President and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia.
