Combining fan-favorite Note features with an all-day battery, a Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) connected S Pen and Samsung Electronics’ most intelligent camera yet, the Galaxy Note9 raises the bar for smartphone performance and power with innovations that help users get the most out of work, play and everything in between.

A Signature Design

The premium design cues that Note users know and love have been updated for the Galaxy Note9 to foster a more comfortable and streamlined mobile experience.

The Galaxy Note9’s 6.4-inch Infinity Display is the largest the series has ever seen, with plenty of room to enjoy a favorite movie or game, or write, draw or play with the connected S Pen. The device’s Dia-cut metal frame looks sleek and slim, and features an interplay of glossy and non-glossy finishes that exudes a premium look. The Galaxy Note9 is available in a selection of four standout color options: Midnight Black, Metallic Copper, Ocean Blue and Lavender Purple.

A Mobile Remote Control

The Galaxy Note9’s enhanced S Pen introduces entirely new ways for users to manage their device and express their creativity.

The addition of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology has transformed the S Pen into a convenient and customizable remote control that allows you to easily manage apps and functions, including the camera, from within 10 meters of the Galaxy Note9. The PENUP-powered Live Drawing and Photo Drawing features, meanwhile, offer users simple tools to create dynamic works of art that showcase their artistic skills.

In addition to functioning as an intuitive remote control, the Galaxy Note9’s S Pen also includes support for Samsung DeX, Samsung’s powerful productivity solution. Users who connect the Galaxy Note9 to a screen via Samsung DeX will be able to utilize the S Pen to streamline a wide array of tasks, such as delivering presentations.

An Intelligent Camera

To make capturing the perfect picture as simple as possible, the Galaxy Note9 camera enhances Samsung’s industry-leading camera technologies with deep-learning capabilities that make it easy to snap stunning shots.

The camera’s new Flaw Detection and Scene Optimizer features utilize advanced AI to help users take the best possible picture. The former automatically notifies you of any flaws in your photos, such as blinking eyes, so you can capture another shot, while the latter automatically analyzes objects, scenery and time elements in the camera’s frame in order to recognize the type of scene you’re photographing and optimize color tones accordingly.

As teased before the Unpacked event, the Galaxy Note9 offers users the very best in terms of battery life, speed and storage.

The Galaxy Note9’s all-day, 4,000mAh battery is Samsung’s most powerful and reliable yet, and the device’s 128GB of baseline storage offers more than enough room for all of your photos, videos and apps. An industry leading cooling system provides optimal performance during graphics-intensive activities like gaming, while a 10-nanometer processor and support for mobile carriers’ fastest network speeds ensure that you’re never stuck in the slow lane when downloading or streaming your favorite content.

Even More Dynamic with Samsung DeX

Samsung’s powerful productivity solution, Samsung DeX, becomes even more versatile when paired with the Galaxy Note9.

The new, easy-to-carry HDMI Adaptor makes utilizing Samsung DeX even more convenient, creating more opportunities to enjoy a PC-like experience at the office, at home or on the go. The solution’s dual-screen support allows users to work simultaneously on the Galaxy Note9 and on a connected display, and lets you utilize the phone as touch keyboard, a touchpad, or a surface for drawing with the enhanced S Pen.

1. A Streamlined Design

Both the 5.8-inch Galaxy S9 and the 6.2-inch S9+ introduce refinements to the Infinity Display that make Samsung’s signature screen even more striking.

These include reinforcing the Super AMOLED displays with thicker Corning© Gorilla© Glass 5 and crafting the bezels and screen in a deeper black to conceal the iris sensor and create a more uniform, minimalist aesthetic. Both devices feature sleek, contemporary designs, and are available in a choice of four colors: Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and the all-new Lilac Purple.

2. Make Everyday Moments Epic

The Galaxy S9’s Super Slow-mo feature was designed to allow users to capture, in stunning detail, the epic, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that occur in everyday life.

Super Slow-mo increases the camera’s shutter speed to a blistering 960 fps (frames per second), and is capable of recording video that’s four times slower than any other slow-motion mobile technology. Once they’ve recorded their Super Slow-mo clip, users may choose to save it as a GIF, customize it with a favorite tune, or display it as a wallpaper for their home or lock screen.

3. A Low Light Camera That Imitates the Eye

Combining an F2.4 aperture lens with an F1.5, the brightest currently available on a smartphone, the Galaxy S9’s advanced Dual Aperture camera adapts to its environment to allow users to snap stunning shots in any light.

Just like the human eye, the camera automatically adjusts to lighting conditions to allow just the right amount of light to reach the lens. So whether users are enjoying a sunny day at the beach or a birthday dinner with friends, they can rest assured that their images will be crisp and clear.

4. Express Yourself with AR Emoji

The Galaxy S9’s new AR Emoji feature allows users to create their own realistic or cartoon-like emojis using the device‘s facial recognition technology. From a single selfie, the device analyzes a 2D image of you by mapping more than 100 distinct facial features, and then applies that image to a 3D model to generate an avatar that looks just like you and can imitate your facial expressions.

AR Emoji are fully customizable, can easily be shared with others and also used as a wallpaper for the user’s home or lock screen.

5. Instant Insight into Your Surroundings

Samsung’s intelligence platform, Bixby, is deeply integrated into the Galaxy S9’s camera, and utilizes augmented reality and deep learning technologies to provide users with a wide range of helpful, real-time information about the world around them.

When the user points their camera at an object, Bixby recognizes what it’s looking at and instantly presents information related to that object overlaid on top of the image. This means that, for instance, a user on a business trip abroad would be able to utilize the Live Translation function under Bixby’s Text mode to instantly translate a menu or sign written in a foreign language, or even foreign currency, in real-time.

6. Snap Standout Shots with Dual Camera

The Galaxy S9+’s best-in-class Dual Camera features a pair of 12MP cameras – an F1.5 wide-angle lens with Super Speed Dual Pixel image sensor, and an F2.4 telephoto lens – as well as dual optical image stabilization (OIS) to ensure that photos are crystal clear even when the user has a shaky hand.

The camera’s Live Focus and Background Blur features offer users more creative control over their photos. The former allows them to adjust the depth of field at any point in the photo-taking process, while the latter lets users play with the focus of their photo’s background by applying shapes such as hearts, stars and more.

7. Stereo Speakers Provide Premium Sound

Because our smartphones are often our go-to platform for entertainment, Samsung has complemented the Galaxy S9’s immersive Infinity Display with an equally engrossing sound system.

To make it easy for users to immerse themselves in their content, Samsung placed powerful, AKG-tuned stereo speakers into the bottom and earpiece of the device that produce rich, balanced sound, no matter the volume. The Galaxy S9 also features a Dolby Atmos effect, which carefully analyzes key variables in content’s audio to give users the sensation that they’re experiencing 360-degree surround sound.

8. Enhanced Biometric Authentication

The Galaxy S9’s Intelligent Scan feature combines the collective strength of Samsung’s iris scanning, facial recognition and intelligent technologies to create a seamless authentication solution that offers users secure access to their device in virtually any environment.

In addition, the phone’s fingerprint scanner, which is now conveniently located beneath the camera on the back of the device, supports a new Dedicated Fingerprint function, which allows users to designate a fingerprint to provide instant access to their Secure Folder.

In addition to allowing users to enjoy a full-screen desktop experience powered by their mobile device, the Samsung DeX software platform now allows users to transform their Galaxy S9’s Infinity Display into a Touch Keyboard and Touch Pad using the new DeX Pad.

Moments Up Close and Clear with the Dual Camera

Taking Samsung’s best-in-class camera technology to the next level, the Galaxy Note8 boasts two 12MP rear cameras – one F1.7 wide-angle lens with Dual Pixel technology and one F2.4 telephoto lens – that both utilize Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

With 2X optical and up to 10X digital zooming capabilities, images are crisp and clear, even when photographing subjects at a far distance. Furthermore, the wide-angle lens has a Dual Pixel sensor with rapid auto-focus, so users can also capture sharper and brighter shots, even in low-light environments.

For added creative control, the new Live Focus feature lets users adjust the intensity of the background blur of an image before and after the photo is taken. In Dual Capture mode, both cameras work simultaneously to capture two separate images – one close-up shot from the telephoto lens and one wide-angle shot that shows the entire background.

The Galaxy Note8 is also equipped with an industry-leading F1.7 8MP autofocus front-facing camera for the sharpest selfies and video chats.

And with the Galaxy Note8’s new App Pairfeature, users can now create a custom pair of apps on the Edge panel and launch them at the same time with a single tap.

The Galaxy Note8 builds on Samsung’s design heritage with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display, a bezel-less, dual-edge display that takes up more than 83 percent of the phone’s front screen.

With a slim bezel and a slightly more squared design than the Infinity Display of the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy Note8’s display boasts more surface area for writing and drawing with the S Pen. Nevertheless, its unique design and slim silhouette make it comfortable to hold in one hand.

The Galaxy Note8 will be available in four stunning colors: Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Maple Gold and the all-new Deepsea Blue.
