SEOUL, Korea – October 30, 2025 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the expansion of two new languages for Galaxy AI: Filipino and Gujarati. Filipino is used daily by an estimated 87 million people, while Gujarati is spoken by an estimated 62.5 million people[1].

With this new update, Galaxy AI will support a total of 22[2] languages, now accounting for languages spoken by nearly 74%[3] of the global population/5.9 billion people across the globe. This strengthens Samsung’s ongoing commitment to lowering language barriers and bringing meaningful mobile AI experiences to more people.

As Galaxy AI continues to evolve, users in even more regions can now access its suite of intelligent features designed to make communication and productivity easier and more intuitive in everyday life.

• With Live Translate[4]’s real-time, two-way voice and text translations, calls become seamless across borders, ensuring conversations feel natural wherever users are.
• Interpreter[5] translates in-person conversations instantly through a split-screen view, perfect for ordering at restaurants or asking for directions when traveling abroad.
• Chat Assist[6] fine-tunes messages for any situation, offering tailored suggestions that strike the right tone – professional, friendly or playful – and match users’ intent.
• Note Assist[7] can generate summaries and pre-formatted templates that help users stay organized and streamline daily tasks, from quick notes to project outlines.
• Transcript Assist[8] helps transcribe, summarize and translate voice recordings of everything from meetings and lectures to creative sessions with ease.

These features were created with deep linguistic understanding and regional insight to ensure Galaxy AI adapts naturally to the ways people communicate. The Filipino and Gujarati languages were developed in close collaboration with Samsung Research centers in Indonesia and India, respectively. Their ongoing work advancing localized language models continues to shape Galaxy AI’s global rollout.

Galaxy AI has quickly become part of daily routines for millions of users around the world. At the Galaxy AI Forum earlier this year, Samsung shared that more than 70 percent of Galaxy S25 users regularly engage with Galaxy AI and Google Gemini features, with nearly half (47%) of consumers today relying heavily on AI in their day-to-day lives.  In the Philippines, there was also a double digit increase in Galaxy AI appeal for Filipinos based on a consumer study conducted August to September 2025, with 40% of Filipinos finding Live Translate and Call Assist features appealing[10].

SEOUL, KOREA – August 5, 2025 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the expansion of its ongoing One UI 8 beta program to additional Galaxy devices. The update sets the foundation for advanced multimodal capabilities to more Galaxy devices across various form factors, along with more intuitive Galaxy AI experiences that simplify everyday routines.

Initially introduced with the Galaxy S25 series in May, the One UI 8 beta program will include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 beginning next week in Korea, the U.S., the U.K. and India.

In September, availability will extend to even more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54. Users can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app.

One UI 8 delivers smarter, more convenient AI experiences through multimodal capabilities that understands users’ real-time context and supports more natural interactions. When paired with the Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro, users can activate Google’s Gemini with voice or by long-pressing either earbud.
