• Now, we are providing additional tools for better sleep by suggesting an optimal bedtime based on your lifestyle and sleep patterns while sending reminders to help you stick to it.
• By analyzing your past three days’ sleep patterns, the feature evaluates your need for sleep pressure and your circadian rhythm to calculate a bedtime that maximizes alertness the next day.
• This feature is particularly helpful for those trying to optimize their sleep after periods of irregular bedtimes. For example, if you go to bed later than planned over several days, or have inconsistent sleep schedules between weekdays and weekends, the bedtime guidance will consider these factors to ensure you get enough sleep.

Sleep is a window into overall health, as it impacts holistic well-being. Galaxy Watch uses this opportunity to measure vascular load — the amount of stress on your vascular system while sleeping.

• The vascular system carries blood throughout the body to deliver oxygen and nutrients and remove waste, making it a strong indicator to determine good heart health.

• Just wear your watch and run for 12 minutes; it will analyze your performance and running level from 1-10. When taking a holistic approach to health, we naturally focus on aging and inspiring healthy aging. However, behavioral factors, such as drinking alcohol, smoking, UV exposure, stress and lack of sleep, can accelerate aging by increasing free radicals in the body. These free radicals damage cells and accelerate aging. Antioxidants, nutrients found in many healthy foods, are molecules that neutralize these free radicals, helping prevent chronic illnesses and promote healthy aging.

• Use Galaxy Watch to measure carotenoids, which are antioxidants found in green and orange vegetables and fruits, stored in your skin.
• Galaxy Watch employs an industry-first feature to measure carotenoids in just five seconds via its advanced, light-activated BioActive sensor.
• These insights reflect behavioral changes. For example, drinking carrot juice can show changes in the index, providing motivation to adopt healthier habits.

Now, by combining Galaxy AI with Samsung Health, new health features will provide you with more comprehensive health insights, along with motivational encouragement to help you improve your daily wellness. With Energy Score^[2], you can receive a better understanding of your daily condition through a combined analysis of personal health metrics including sleep time average, sleep time consistency, bed/wake time consistency, sleep timing, previous day activity, sleeping heart rate and heart rate variability^[3] to help you take on your day. Plus, Wellness Tips^[4] helps you reach your personal health goals by offering insights, motivational tips and guidance based on the specific goal you’re looking to achieve.

Greater precision and accuracy

Accurate and comprehensive health metrics are foundational to the best intelligent health experiences. Enhanced health algorithms and advanced tracking tools will provide more holistic, personalized and actionable insights when combined with AI. Since good health starts with a good night’s rest, Samsung is enhancing our sleep AI algorithm to provide additional in-depth sleep insights. Newly added sleep indicators for Sleep Insights offer you a more detailed and accurate analysis of your sleep quality so you can better understand your sleep patterns and build better habits. These added metrics include movement during sleep, sleep latency, heart rate and respiratory rate during sleep in addition to previously supported metrics like snoring hours, blood oxygen level and sleep cycle.

All-new fitness features offer intelligent and effortless physical capacity measurements for more tailored training, which are traditionally provided by highly advanced equipment. In addition to the five running intensity levels of the Personalized Health Rate Zone, new detailed Aerobic Threshold (AT) / Anaerobic Threshold (AnT) Heart Rate Zone^[5] metrics support efficient running while also quickly analysing performance. Plus, cyclists can easily calculate Functional Threshold Power (FTP) metrics in just 10 minutes^[6] and train like a pro by using a personalized power index based on AI data analysis to maximize performance. Fitness tracking tools also help you track workouts and progress with greater convenience. With the new Workout Routine, combine various exercises for a personalized workout and seamlessly transition to the next exercise without stopping. Stay motivated and track your progress when running or cycling using Race^[7], which compares current and past performance on the same routes.

Using machine learning, the more users ride repeatedly, the more accurate and personalized FTP values will be calculated. The cycling power meter is sold separately. Traditional FTP analysis duration on professional equipment is up to 1 hour on average.

^[7] Race is available for outdoor running and outdoor cycling only. For comparative measurements, it is required to run on the same path as the pre-generated path. Users can compare by selecting one of the records from a timeframe of up to 14 days ago. Comparing records through the Race is only available when starting at the same location as the previous record’s start point. It will be converted to the running mode automatically, if the starting points are different.

The Galaxy Watch has been an indispensable partner to the Galaxy smartphone since 2018 for achieving fitness goals and tracking other health and wellness activities. But did you know that it also works as a portable planner for tasks and makes a great extension to your phone?

Five years since the launch of the first Galaxy Watch, it has evolved from a fitness tracker, to being a complement for the Galaxy smartphone in keeping tabs on different activities on your apps. Track your health stats

Stay on top of your wellness goals as you check health data both on your Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Watch. The Samsung Health app can be synced from your phone to the Galaxy Watch just by tapping “More Options” then “Settings”. Select the Samsung Watch accessory or “Scan for accessories” if not listed. This also allows you to also check on your heart rate and Electrocardiogram (ECG) levels from the app through your Galaxy Watch. At the end of a long busy day, sleep with your Galaxy Watch on and wake up to a sleep report of your body movements, heart rate, and oxygen levels.

Keep tabs on emails and schedules

As you gear up for a busy day ahead, checking your schedule and emails via  your phone while on the way to work could be a hazard. But it’s super easy to stay connected with your Galaxy Watch – you can sync your Gmail and Calendar app so your meetings and reminders are right on your wrist. You can even check your emails through the Galaxy watch, and recite your reply through the microphone and it will transcribe to text!

Play music on-the-go

Enjoy your favorite playlist during a workout, in transit, or as ambient sounds while finishing tasks at work from your Galaxy Watch through your connected Galaxy smartphone. Just ensure that the settings on your phone have the “Auto sync” on. To never miss the countless tunes on your Spotify playlist, simply download the app and your favorite tracks to your Galaxy Watch. Your tracks can be played even offline without having to bring out your phone with your your earbuds or the Watch’s speakers.

Check and respond to messages, anytime

If you receive a message via messaging apps in the middle of a workout or while enjoying a meal with friends, you can check or even type a quick reply using your Galaxy Watch as long as the message notification is activated. When a new message is received, a slight vibration or sound alert will appear immediately on screen. If you miss the alert, you can go back to the message by swiping the watch face to the right and you can compose a quick reply by tapping an emoji or tying a message.

Sync your devices fuss free

Enjoy all of these functions with your Samsung Watch when you connect it to your Samsung smartphone! Just enable your phone’s Bluetooth and the watch will connect to the phone. If you are connecting the watch to a new phone, simply reset your watch by pressing the “Home” and “Back” buttons and wait for reset to finish. Upon finishing the reset, go to “Settings” on the watch and select “General”. Then tap, “Connect to a new phone” and you’re good to maximize your Samsung Watch functions without having to pull out your phone.
