With Sketch to Image, your rough sketches are turned into stunning works of art. You can either layer them on top of an existing photo, like your favorite holiday pictures, or you can even start with a blank canvas and create something beautiful from scratch. There are even additional options to further customise your creations by selecting from different styles, such as watercolor or 3D cartoon.

Let AI remix your portrait

Across the many different social media platforms we all use, one common element is the profile picture. With Portrait Studio^[3], you can create a profile photo that stands out. Usually, the photo that you take of yourself is the end product but with Portrait Studio, it’s just the beginning. Whether you’d like to see yourself as a comic book character, a 3D cartoon, a watercolor painting or a sketch, Portrait Studio can create something truly unique.

Start by taking a picture of yourself or anyone else you’d love to see transformed. Then select Portrait Studio, which you’ll find within Photo Assist in the Gallery app and choose the style of image you’d like the AI feature to create. From there, hit ‘Generate’ and let Galaxy AI make your photo instantly sharable. You’ll have a new and unique profile photo and everyone will be asking you how you did it.

Slow motion without the preparation

We’re all used to taking pictures while on holiday or when hanging out with friends but sometimes you want to capture a moment in a way that a picture never can. A great video always catches people’s attention, and now you can use Instant Slow-Mo^[4] to give your clips an added sense of drama. That video of you pulling off an impossible trick at the skate park or gracefully waving a scarf in the sea breeze is much more fun when slowed down. Instant Slow-Mo makes it easy to create that effect in the videos you already have.

Galaxy AI enables this feature to work well for the times when you forgot to film in slow motion in the first place. It uses AI Frame Rate Conversion (AI FRC) technology to generate intermediate frames of movement to fill in the gaps between frames already there, which helps maintain quality.

To use Instant Slow-Mo, play a video in the Gallery app and tap and hold on the screen at the point you want to slow down. You can see the effect happen in real time, while also having access to additional options to perfect your video. To share the video with friends, it’s as simple as pressing the share button, viewing the preview, selecting to share the slow-mo clip, and using Quick Share to send it to your friends nearby.

Instant Slow-Mo will give a new creative streak to your clips and make you want to press play again and again.

With Galaxy AI on the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, you’re never short of ways to make your photos and videos look amazing. Improved Multi Window Experiences

One of the most powerful features of the Galaxy Z Fold series is Multi Window,^[5] which has been enhanced for better productivity. The experimental features offered through Labs in the previous version — Pop-up view, which lets you turn an app into a pop-up window by dragging down the upper right corner, and Split Screen View, which splits your screen when you swipe with two fingers — have now become official One UI features starting with the Galaxy Z Fold5. For instance, if you want to take notes while reading, simply use two fingers to open a Multi Window with a notepad. You can conveniently write down your ideas with easy access to two side-by-side windows on a single screen.

Create Easier and Faster

The Galaxy Z Fold5 also introduces the innovative two-handed Drag and Drop^[6] feature – a remarkable addition that elevates multitasking on the big screen. You can use one finger to hold an object and another to interact with other features, delivering a whole new level of efficiency and convenience. For example, press an image in your gallery with one finger and simultaneously use a different hand to bring up a new window and attach that image to an email. When moving an app to another page, just hold down the icon and use your other hand to swipe through the home screen to place it just where you want it. This multi-touch upgrade unlocks huge potential for productivity on the Galaxy Z Fold5.

These efforts to boost productivity have led to even more ways to multitask. Up to four most recently used apps can now be added to the Taskbar, allowing easy transitions between apps. While switching to a different app, you can open the pop-up window to multitask across apps and windows more conveniently than ever before.

The all-new Slim S Pen Case^[7] features a design that improves your experience with the S Pen Fold Edition. The sleeker and slimmer S Pen holder not only helps your phone lie flat, making it effortless to take notes on a table, but it also ensures that you’re able to write with a more comfortable grip. In addition, there is a toggle feature that lets you conveniently attach or detach the S Pen Fold Edition.

At this year’s Galaxy Unpacked on July 26, Samsung revealed exciting new additions to the Galaxy family, including the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5, the Galaxy Watch6 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Taking place for the first time in Seoul, South Korea, the event captivated both domestic and international media and consumers worldwide. The city of Seoul is recognized as a global leader in progress, fusing tradition and modernity to serve as the ideal backdrop for Samsung’s latest lineup.

Galaxy Z Flip5: The Ultimate Tool for Self-Expression

The Galaxy Z Flip5 is the perfect accessory to capture how Galaxy users look and feel — complete with an innovative design and a variety of all-new customizable features. The most apparent change was the exterior design. Flex Window, the largest Cover Screen on a Galaxy Z Flip yet, takes the camera experience of a foldable phone to the next level. The audience took note of a video with American actress Sydney Sweeney showcasing how users can easily snap selfies or group photos at any angle, all thanks to the upgraded Flex Window.

While sleep monitoring technology has been previously offered through existing wearable devices, the Galaxy Watch6 series provides even more in-depth and comprehensive sleep-related health information in continued cooperation with professionals in the field, including experts from the Samsung Medical Center.

Samsung debuted the Galaxy Tab S9 series, redefining the premium tablet experience through its high-performance features and stunning display. As the first water- and dust-resistant tablet offered by Galaxy, users can follow their inspiration wherever it leads them.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 use more recycled parts than the previous Galaxy Z series, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its products.

Up Close With Galaxy: The Experience Zone in Seoul

At Galaxy Unpacked 2023, the Experience Zone was an interactive space displaying the latest Galaxy devices. The zone featured a photo area inspired by a “hanok,” a traditional Korean house. Designed by Kyung-sun Chae, the art director of the South Korean TV series, Squid Game, the space celebrated Seoul, a city where tradition and modernity coexist.

A Wider Variety of Recycled Materials in More Components

Earlier this year, Samsung expanded its innovative use of recycled materials in product design with the Galaxy S23 series, introducing new materials to more components. The Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 advance these efforts, featuring a wider variety of recycled materials^[1] in more internal and external components than previous Galaxy Z series smartphones. The newest foldable smartphones incorporate pre-consumer recycled aluminum and post-consumer recycled plastic sourced from discarded fishing nets, water barrels and PET bottles. They also scale the use of Corning^® Gorilla^® Glass Victus^® 2, which contains an average of 22% pre-consumer recycled glass content.

Not only did Samsung add more types of recycled materials used in each device, but the company also more than doubled the amount of device components that use a minimum of 10% post-consumer recycled plastic or pre-consumer recycled glass, or an average of 22% pre-consumer recycled glass. Both the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5^[2] use recycled materials in 15 device components, an increase from six internal components in the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4.

When it comes to packaging, Samsung continue to advance its efforts to reduce the presence of single-use plastic. That’s why the paper for the packaging box^[3] is made using 100% recycled material.^[4] The company also switched to recycled paper material for the front and back cover protector.

A Device Lifecycle That Lasts Longer

The Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 continue Samsung’s work to optimize the longevity and improve the upgradability of its smartphones. Each device comes with five years of security updates and four generations of OS upgrades, helping to extend the product lifecycle.

As a result, the Galaxy community can reliably enjoy their devices for a longer period of time, enabling them to make eco-conscious choices in their daily lives.
