Premium TV Sales Are on the Rise With Neo QLED 4K and 8K

In fact, more content, better features and more things to do on your TV mean the trend of purchasing larger and larger TV screens is not simply expected to continue to even to grow. According to Omdia, the over-80-inch TV market is expected to grow from 2.8 million units in 2022 to 3.5 million units in 2023 – over 24%.

Samsung’s premium TV lineup has also helped solidify its leadership in the TV industry for an impressive 17 years. In 2022, Samsung sold a staggering 9.65 million units of QLED and Neo QLED TVs, bringing the cumulative sales to 35 million units since its QLED product launch in 2017.

Samsung also dominated the ultra-large TV segment in 2022, reporting 36.1% and 42.9% in terms of market share for TVs over 75-inches and 80-inches respectively.

This edition of the festival features a myriad of art-meets-lifestyle activities, Singapore’s premiere of artworks by artists from around the world, and new immersive day-to-night installations – all featured on Samsung’s new QLED screens.

Through this collaboration, users will experience sparks of spontaneous and ephemeral encounters with art as they interact with the various TVs. Guests and visitors of the National Gallery can navigate the large arena with wayfinding points programmed into Samsung’s The Frame TVs. Colourful and eye-catching, these interactive points provide information on the location and timings of live performances and exhibitions.

Visitors can find multiple NEO OLED and QLED TVs beside each art installation showing a short performance clip of the artists making their entrance to the specific area of the gallery before creating their masterpieces – capturing the stories and inspirations behind each work. Glimpse, a self-guided accessible multi-disciplinary installation, will also be using Samsung’s NEO OLED TVs and the Galaxy Tab S8+ in its live performances. Co-created with four performers of disability, the self-guided installation invites visitors to ponder the theme of ‘disability visibility’ structured around concepts of absence and presence.

Visitors can also experience the Gallery’s collection in the DBS Singapore Gallery in new ways with Samsung’s S22 series through First Responders: Augmented Reality Imaginations. Using the camera application, individuals can unlock over 25 web-based AR filters on Instagram created by students from Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design and Media to breathe life into existing artworks. Through the filters, visitors can understand the story and inspiration behind each piece while taking breathtaking photographs of themselves with the paintings.

In an effort to foster a greater appreciation of art amongst local youths, the National Gallery’s experimental youth arm Kolektif will launch weekly trivia nights to empower young people to bring their creativity and concerns to art museums. Featuring The Freestyle, visitors can look forward to a range of general knowledge questions from pop culture fun facts to scientific questions and a healthy dash of art and local culture 101.

Samsung Electronics today was recognized by Interbrand, a global brand consultancy, as one of the top five in the Best Global Brands 2022.
