Designed to transform home entertainment experience, the 2026 Samsung TV line-up features smarter picture, sound and personalised experiences from its premium models – Micro RGB, OLED and Neo QLED – as well as Mini LED and Crystal UHD TVs and its Lifestyle TVs, The Frame.

This year, Samsung is expanding Vision AI Companion features across its TV line up, bringing AI-powered viewing experience to more categories and screen sizes to fit any consumer needs^[1].

Vision AI Companion (VAC) brings together Samsung’s AI features for TVs, integrating Bixby, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, to make the TV experience more intelligent and personalised. Designed to serve as an entertainment companion, VAC can help guide users on what to watch, what to eat and what to listen to, extending the role of the TV beyond viewing alone.

The AI TV line-up also brings AI-enhanced entertainment features to movies, sports and gaming content:

• AI Upscaling Pro: uses AI to analyse and enhance low-resolution content in real time, delivering greater detail, depth and contrast, while Colour Booster Pro analyses and categorises scenes to provide more vivid, lifelike colour.
• AI Football Mode Pro: Automatically analyses match scenes in real time to optimise picture and sound for smoother ball movement, vivid colour and more immersive stadium audio.
• AI Sound Controller Pro: analyses dialogue, background music and sound effects in real time, letting users adjust elements such as commentary and crowd noise for a more immersive experience.

Micro RGB: Defining the Future of Premium Picture Quality

Micro RGB R95H

Micro RGB (R95H and R85H models) expands Samsung’s premium TV experience across a wider range of screen sizes, bringing highly precise colour, brightness and immersive AI-powered viewing to more consumers.

Available in sizes from 55” to 115”, Micro RGB is built on Samsung’s proprietary Micro RGB Technology, which uses individually controlled red, green and blue micro LEDs to deliver cinema-class brightness, contrast, and true-to-life colour.

Additionally, Glare Free technology minimises light reflection in bright environments, allowing users to enjoy their viewing experience across a range of lighting conditions anytime.

Micro RGB also brings Vision AI Companion (VAC) and other AI-optimised features to Samsung’s premium large-screen category, adding more intelligent and personalised viewing experiences. Micro RGB AI Engine Pro fine-tunes colour, motion and depth for optimal image quality. Each scene delivers an immersive experience with Micro RGB Precision Colour 100, ensuring fuller and more lifelike colour expression, with support for 100% colour coverage of BT.2020, an international standard set by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)^[2].

OLED TV S90H

Samsung’s 2026 OLED TVs (S95H, S90H and S85H models) continue to elevate the gaming and football viewing experience, offering deep blacks, rich colour, immersive performance and refined design across a wider range of viewing preferences. Glare Free technology is available on S95H and S90H for true blacks and rich colours, even in bright rooms.

On the flagship S95H, which will be launched towards the end of 2026 in Singapore, Samsung added premium features designed to elevate both entertainment and art. Pantone Validated ArtfulColor helps preserve the authenticity of original artwork with faithful colour and exceptional detail, while Art Store extends Samsung’s art experiences to its OLED model range. FloatLayer Design also gives the display a lighter, more refined presence that blends in more naturally with the home environment.

For gamers, Samsung OLED’s Ultimate Gaming Pack helps keep fast motion crisp and responsive. It brings together Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, support for key VRR platforms such as AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, and quick-access gaming tools for smoother, more intuitive play.

Neo QLED: Enhanced Picture Quality with More Connected Experiences

Neo QLED QN70H

Samsung’s Neo QLED (QN70H model) brings together enhanced AI picture quality and more connected viewing experiences, available in sizes from 55” to 85”. Each model delivers the brightness, contrast and smart optimisation expected from a true QLED experience.

Certified by TÜV Rheinland as a Real QLED TV, Samsung Neo QLED uses a blue light backlight and a genuine quantum dot sheet to maintain a stable colour spectrum and consistent picture performance. Real QLED with 100% Colour Volume keeps colour accurate and stable with clear detail on every scene, even at high brightness levels. Quantum Mini LED sets the standard for contrast and enables ultra-precise light control, delivering depth and clarity scene after scene.

The viewing experience is now more seamless with VAC, which displays helpful information on-request without disrupting on-screen content. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that approximately 80 models in its 2025 TV, monitor and soundbar lineups have received Product Carbon Reduction^[1] and Product Carbon Footprint^[2] certifications from TÜV Rheinland, a globally recognised certification organisation based in Germany. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the premium lineups, Neo QLED 8K and Neo QLED, have received such certifications, reinforcing the company’s continued efforts in carbon reduction.

The certifications from TÜV Rheinland are awarded following a rigorous evaluation of a product’s entire lifecycle — including manufacturing, transportation, usage and disposal — based on internationally recognised sustainability standards. These certifications highlight Samsung’s efforts to reduce environmental impact across its product lineup.

In particular, the Product Carbon Reduction certification is granted to products that have already received Product Carbon Footprint certification and further demonstrate a measurable reduction in carbon emissions compared to their predecessors.

Samsung’s leadership in energy-efficient display technology dates back to 2021, when the Neo QLED became the first 4K and higher-resolution TV to earn the Reducing CO₂ certification. Quantum dots have attracted attention as next-generation material for a wide range of applications including displays, medical devices and solar cells. In 2014, Samsung Electronics developed the world’s first no-cadmium quantum dot material and successfully commercialized quantum dot technology with its SUHD TVs. Since 2017, the company has continued to build on its legacy of quantum dot mastery through QLED — its own quantum dot TV series. Samsung Newsroom explored how quantum dots are taking Samsung displays to the next level.

Quantum Dots: The Next Generation of Display Innovation

Quantum dots are ultra-fine semiconductor particles that are tens of thousands of times thinner than a human hair. Since inception, their physical characteristics that allow them to provide the highest level of color accuracy and brightness among existing materials had them positioned to revolutionise display technology.

When used in displays, quantum dots support a wide color gamut that closely matches colors perceived by the human eye and facilitate pixel-level light adjustment for more accurate black levels. Emitting light in all directions, quantum dots deliver uniform luminance and consistent color from any viewing angle while minimising blue light exposure for a more comfortable viewing experience.

What Sets Quantum Dot TVs Apart: Content, Film Quality and No-Cadmium Technology

The TV industry continues research and development into the commercialisation of quantum dots as the material becomes a game-changer in display technology. For that reason, a variety of quantum dot TVs have hit the market recently — offering a wide range of options to customers.

However, key differences in quantum dot TVs lie in how the technology is implemented and the overall quality of the display. To ensure a premium viewing experience, factors such as the amount of quantum dot content, the quality of quantum dot film and the use of no-cadmium materials must be considered.

Quantum Dot Content

The true quality of a quantum dot TV is defined by its quantum dot content. The quantum dot film requires a minimum of 3,000 parts per million (ppm) of the material to achieve the vivid, rich picture quality and color expression that only quantum dots can deliver.

Quantum Dot Film

Samsung QLEDs eliminate the need for a separate phosphor layer, enhancing light and energy efficiency while delivering more vivid colors. A quantum dot OLED (QD-OLED), which consists of a thin-film transistor (TFT) layer,^[1] a self-emitting light source and a quantum dot film that uses the light emitted from the light source, takes a step further enhancing picture quality. In either case, a dedicated quantum dot film that contains sufficient quantum dots is key in delivering top-class picture quality and longevity.

No Cadmium

In the early stages of developing quantum dot TVs, cadmium was essential to achieving the key benefits of quantum dots such as color reproduction and contrast ratio. At the time, cadmium was considered the most efficient material for producing quantum dots.

However, cadmium’s toxicity became a significant obstacle to the commercialisation of quantum dot technology. The element posed serious threats to the environment — making its widespread use difficult despite being the most suitable material for implementing quantum dot technology.

In response to this challenge, Samsung developed the world’s first no-cadmium quantum dot material in 2014 and successfully commercialised quantum dot technology with its SUHD TVs in the following year to open a new era of quantum dot TVs.

10 Years of Quantum Dot Innovation and Leadership

Samsung has quickly recognised the potential of quantum dot technology and led innovation in the global display market over the past decade through continuous research and investment.

Samsung began researching and developing quantum dot technology in 2001 — at a time when there was limited research on non-cadmium materials. Achieving vivid colors required making the nano-sized particles uniform, but the lack of technology and research made mass production extremely challenging.

Despite these obstacles, Samsung succeeded in creating a no-cadmium nanocrystal material in 2014. Since then, the company has accumulated extensive expertise — registering more than 150 patents — and continuously worked on advancing the technology. Samsung’s long-standing commitment culminated in 2015 when the company unveiled the world’s first SUHD TVs with no-cadmium quantum dot technology.

Samsung’s QLED lineup was revealed in 2017, setting a new standard for premium TVs that overcame the limitations of OLED TVs. By applying metal quantum dot technology, Samsung achieved the Digital Cinema Initiative’s color standard DCI-P3 and achieved 100% color volume for the first time in the world — thereby presenting unparalleled color expression. Notably, the use of inorganic quantum dot technology protected the screens from burn-in^[2] to ensure consistent picture quality over time.

Following its success in developing a red light-emitting element for displays in 2019, the company enhanced the luminous efficiency of blue self-emitting QLEDs — considered the most challenging to implement among the three primary QLED colors^[3] — to an industry-leading 20.2%.

“Discovering a blue material for self-emitting QLEDs and demonstrating industry-leading performance at the device level were significant achievements of this research,” said Dr. Eunjoo Chang, a fellow at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology. “Samsung’s distinctive quantum dot technology has once again overcome technical barriers.”

This cutting-edge advancements led to the launch of the QD-OLED TVs, making history at CES 2022 by winning the Best of Innovation award for integrating quantum dot technology and OLED displays.

This year, Samsung is introducing AI technologies to its TV line-up to deliver elevated enhancements for consumers’ home entertainment setups.

Samsung’s newest Neo QLED 8K and 4K TV lineup are equipped with technology that deliver lifelike picture quality and premium audio experiences. The feature automatically detects the sport type and uses deep learning to properly detect the type of ball and enhances the visual accordingly. For consumers who like watching high-adrenaline action content, Real Depth Enhancer Pro adds details to fast-moving scenes with the help of AI to precisely control mini-LEDs by detecting the part of a scene that the human eye would naturally focus on, bringing it to the foreground. This way, images are more lifelike as there is more depth to the onscreen content. Infinity Air Design complements Neo QLED 8K’s impeccable picture quality with a screen only 12.9mm in depth^[3], allowing for an immersive viewing experience that focuses on high resolution and outstanding sound quality. It also offers a unique mirror effect in which the TV appears to hover in its surroundings.

At the same time, the Neo QLED 8K lineup offers exceptional audio quality, with Q-Symphony allowing users to connect multiple wireless speakers and a soundbar to a TV or projector for perfect audio synchronization across shows, movies, and playlists^[4]. Users can also take advantage of Active Voice Amplifier Pro, a proprietary AI dialogue booster that utilises exclusive deep-learning technology to significantly enhance dialogue and voices on screen.

Samsung’s S95D OLED TV delivers exceptional visual quality with AI-enhanced colour accuracy.

Samsung’s 2024 OLED TVs build on the legacy of last year’s models, with the S95D offering sizes of up to 77-inches for high-detail, a high-frame rate, and intensely vibrant video. New OLED Glare Free’ technology^[5] — specifically designed for 2024 OLED screens — preserves colour accuracy and reduces reflections while maintaining image sharpness to ensure an immersive viewing experience, even in daylight. The OLED-optimised, low-reflection coating overcomes the trade-off between gloss and reflection thanks to a new, specialised hard-coating layer and surface coating pattern.

In addition, the display is 20% brighter than previous models, with deep and rich blacks and AI-enhanced colour accuracy so pure that it is Pantone Validated. In addition to being Samsung’s brightest OLED screen yet, it also features high refresh rates of up to 144Hz for more seamless motion and crystal-clear action on their screens. Samsung also offers the more wallet friendly S90D series, which will be available in various sizes, from 48” to 83’’.

Record for Largest Collection of Used Batteries Set at Unbox & Discover 2024

As part of the launch, Samsung Singapore held the Unbox & Discover 2024 event at Jewel Changi Cloud9 Piazza, where more than 50,000 visitors experienced the new TV and sound systems lineup.

Samsung Singapore successfully collected a total of 3,068 batteries, setting a record for the Largest Collection of Used Batteries, according to the Singapore Book of Records.

Additionally, we have made the 2021 Frame slimmer than ever: just 24.9 millimeters thick, about the same depth as an actual picture frame. It’s just as appealing off as when it’s on.

Samsung is also offering a new way to display the 2021 Frame, with My Shelf, a new accessory releasing globally later this year that lets you create a tailored wall with personal touches to complement your screen and décor. My Shelf can be attached to the 55 inch, 65 inch, and 75 inch Frame sizes, and will be available in four different colours: beige, white, brown, and black.
