Charli XCX shares the stage in the ultimate fan surprise

This summer thousands of festival goers have shared the stage at the Samsung Hypercube and created their own unique 360 performances. After partnering with festival favourite Charli XCX to create a new Snapchat lens, which gave people the chance to #ShareTheStage and lip-sync along to her song of the Summer ‘Boys’, Charli surprised a number of her fans (aka her ‘angels’) in Central London last Friday.

After a call out on social media, fans who responded thought they were going to a secret London location to compete in a lip sync battle but were shocked and delighted when Charli revealed herself. Watch the moment below.

Charli commented “I’ve loved seeing clips of my fans lip-syncing to ‘Boys’. It was cool to see how into it they got on set. Samsung have let me share the stage with fans across the summer and it’s been a lot of fun.”

Fans were gifted a new Samsung Galaxy S8 and captured the surprise in real time on their phones, footage from which features in the video. The fans, who travelled from Manchester, Nottingham and London, couldn’t believe it and were treated to a day beyond their wildest dreams.

Isaac, 20 commented “At the beginning of the week I tweeted a video of me lip-syncing to the song in a bar with my mates, and now I’ve just been on stage with Charli. It’s unreal”.

Samsung has given music fans the chance to share the stage throughout summer, via uniquely brilliant experiences that inspire consumers to #DoWhatYouCant.
