London, UK – 5th October 2020 – Samsung Electronics UK Ltd. today announced a new cashback incentive on selected home appliances purchased between 16th September and 3rd November 2020. The promotion offers customers the chance to claim between £50 and £300 cashback on their purchases or have the opportunity to donate it to one of Samsung’s chosen charities, simply by registering their purchase online.

“With Brits across the country set to be spending more time than ever in their homes over the autumn and winter months, it’s a great time for people to revaluate their household appliances and ensure they have the best products in place to support their new routines,” says Ruth Storey, Head of Marketing, Home Appliances, Samsung Electronics UK Ltd. “Understanding the many challenges people are facing at the moment, Samsung wants to give something back to its customers and the community, knowing that a small gesture can go a long way.”

Available on a wide range of appliances

The incentive is simple to activate and available on a wide range of refrigerator and laundry appliances. From the Samsung RF22R7351SR American Fridge Freezer, which features 501 litre capacity (the equivalent to 27 bags of food shopping!), separate cooling systems for the fridge and freezer and a water and ice dispenser; to the stylish Samsung WW90T986DSX Freestanding Washing Machine. Customers simply buy a qualifying Samsung product and register their appliance on the Samsung Charity Cashback website to unlock the incentive.

Quick and easy registration

Customers can register their new appliance between 30 and 60 days after purchase and all that’s needed is proof of receipt and an appliance serial number. Once registered, customers can choose whether they would like to claim their full cashback value or donate all, or some of it, to one of Samsung’s chosen charities. Customers can split the amount as they chose in five-pound increments, for example for a £200 cashback claim, they can donate £55 to a charity, with the remaining £145 transferred into their bank account. Once validated, the cashback amount will be shared by bank transfer into their account, or the charity’s account, within 30 days.

“Customers who wish to donate their cashback to one of Samsung’s selected charities, can choose between NHS Charities Together, Hubbub and Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. All of these selected charities, Samsung has been working closely with as part of its commitment to ensure everyone can benefit from the promise that technology will improve their world,” added Ruth.
