Jamie’s exciting new flagship Jamie Oliver Cookery School and Jamie Oliver Cafe, will open its doors the first week of May, in John Lewis & Partners, Oxford Street, London.

 

With over 40 classes ranging from the Punchy Peíuvian Ceviche to making Showstopping Ravioli, Vietnamese Stíeet Food, mastering knife skills, the Calzone Made Easy and so much more, the new Jamie Oliver Cookery School in John Lewis promises to unleash everyone’s inner chef as it puts the fun and the know-how into learning to cook a myriad of delicious cuisines.

 

Promising to make chef-inspired food a reality, whether you are a novice or a whizz in the kitchen, the new Jamie Oliver Cookery School brings Jamie’s pared back, full flavour approach to every cooking lesson.

 

Opening simultaneously on the third floor of the store, is the new Jamie Oliver Cafe, situated adjacent to the Cookery School. The new cafe seats 50 and offers delicious treats such as New Ground Coffee, British Sparkling Wine, Vibrant Salads & Filled Focaccias as well as a range of sweet treats. Cooked fresh on-site by Jamie’s chefs, the dishes will celebrate some of Jamie’s favourite suppliers, including bread from The Dusty Knuckle, meat from HG Walters, sustainable fish from Stickleback and wines from Liberty Wines.

 

The Jamie Oliver Cookery School will have two classrooms, each accommodating up to 24 guests. The door between the two classrooms can open for a class of up to 48 people, perfect for larger and corporate events. The cookery school will have multiple stations that will be kitted out with the very latest Samsung appliances including ovens, hobs and TV screens. Ensuring every guest can concentrate on creating their gastronomic masterpieces.

 

Jamie says, “I’m super excited to be expanding the Jamie Oliver Cookery School, opening our doors so even more people can unleash their inner chef and experience the joy of cooking from scratch. Our new home at John Lewis Oxford Street puts us smack-bang in the heart of the city, with room for 48 guests to have all the fun cooking up delicious food. It’s going to be such a buzzing place – I can’t wait to see it in action.”

Top selling classes, starting at £59 for 1.5 hours, at the original Jamie Oliver Cookery School in Jamie’s Islington HQ, London include Pasta Master, Vietnamese Street Food, Thai Street Food and Japanese Feast. All will be available at the new cookery school plus regular guest chef classes from cookbook authors, restaurateurs, suppliers and industry experts. The first-to-be-announced chefs include Calum Franklin, Noor Murad, Gennaro Contaldo and Ben Tish. And of course, Jamie will continue to help teach kids how to cook with Kids Learn for Free Classes during the school holidays.
