Michel Roux Jr Appoints Samsung as Sous-chef in a New Food Network Show
Discovery Food Network has partnered with Samsung to add a taste of innovation to Michel Roux's French Country Cooking
London, UK, 8 September 2021 – This September, Food Network is bringing Michel Roux’s French Country Cooking to its food-loving audiences. As the official sponsor of the show, Samsung has equipped Michel’s kitchen with the latest kitchen innovations – including products from its Infinite Line™ and Bespoke range.
Michel Roux’s French Country Cooking follows Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jr to his spiritual home in the South of France. The eight hour-long episodes filmed in the Ardeche and produced by Outline Productions will also be available to watch on Discovery+ and will be distributed by All 3 Media International.
In this visually stunning series, Michel will turn simple ingredients into tasty recipes for table or terrace. He will visit regional food producers for the best ingredients to bring the taste of France to home kitchens, from a freshly-baked baguette from a village boulangerie, to a fish stew from a harbourside bistro.
Viewers will delight in this celebration of pleasures, while each experience builds on, and directly inspires, the simple French dishes that Michel will cook in a stunningly rustic country kitchen or al fresco dining over hot coals on the terrace. It’s a gorgeous culinary journey through the landscapes of Southern France on a quest to capture the spirit of Michel’s well-loved tastes.
Building on its previous collaborations with Michel Roux, Samsung has partnered with Food Network to equip Michel’s kitchen with sophisticated and minimalist appliances that look great on set, while also providing unparalleled cooking performance that will help viewers to easily replicate Michel’s recipes at home.
The Infinite Line™ Oven and Combi Hob reflect the demands of consumers who are looking for appliances that offer greater cooking flexibility without compromising on exceptional design. Created with a premium design, the range provides an unprecedented amount of cooking flexibility and control.
Meanwhile, the new Bespoke Refrigerator range from Samsung taps into trends of modularity and customisation, showing that desire for personalisation and a bespoke aesthetic is extending to home appliances. Truly innovative, the Bespoke Refrigerator range offers interchangeable panels in 14 on-trend colourways, from bright pastels to sleek monochromes, and a range of finishes such as Glam, Satin, Stainless Steel and Cotta.
The partnership with Samsung includes product placement within the series, sponsorship across on-air and Discovery+ and social activation. It also entails a bespoke show page on Foodnetwork.co.uk with inspiring collections of recipes from the series.
