Samsung and EE bring Galaxy Fold 5G to the UK
The Galaxy Fold 5G will be available to purchase from EE and Samsung Experience Stores from 18th September and can be experienced at Samsung KX, Harrods and Selfridges.

LONDON, UK – 5th September 2019 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has today announced that the Galaxy Fold 5G will be available to buy from 18th September in the UK via an exclusive operator partnership with EE, as well as from Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung.com. The device will also be displayed at Samsung KX, Harrods and Selfridges for customers to experience.
The Galaxy Fold 5G, which will be available in Cosmos Black and Space Silver, pushes the boundaries of innovation and introduces a whole new smartphone category. Armed with 5G network capabilities[1], the Galaxy Fold 5G is a device built for the future.
Breakthrough materials and a revised, sophisticated hinging mechanism makes the device flexible, whilst maintaining its elegant design that delivers a book-like fold. Featuring the world’s first foldable 7.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display, the Galaxy Fold 5G turns into an ultra-slim compact device when closed.
The Galaxy Fold 5G’s App Continuity feature allows intuitive, seamless app transitions between the phone’s cover and the Infinity Flex main display, collaborating with Google to enable an ecosystem of apps that are simple and easy to use. The Galaxy Fold 5G features Samsung’s largest ever smartphone screen, with a Multi-Active Window that allows users to easily multi-task across three open apps at once.
As the exclusive network partner for the Galaxy Fold 5G, EE was the first network to launch 5G and has been ranked the best mobile network in the UK for six years running with the UK’s largest 4G network. Meaning customers can get the best experience whether streaming HD content, gaming or multi-tasking with different online apps on the go. EE’s 5G network is live today in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff and will be extending to a further ten cities across the UK by the end of the year. The Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G is available from Samsung at an RRP of £1,900, and all devices come with wireless Galaxy Buds and a Galaxy Fold 5G Aramid case. Purchases will also be eligible for free Samsung Care+, which protects the device from accidental damage for one years[2].
