Samsung Electronics Promotes James Kitto to UK & Ireland Vice-President of Sales

James Kitto’s role expanded to deliver further strategic growth across Samsung Mobile’s commercial division in the United Kingdom and Ireland

LONDON, UK – March 10th, 2020 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd today announced the promotion of James Kitto to UK & Ireland Vice-President of Sales.  Previously Sales Director for UK & Ireland, James brings over 15 years of business and marketing experience to the role.

Having started his career in financial services, James then joined Nokia’s senior leadership team where he played a key role in business transformation before leaving to devote his time to growing several technology start-ups. Throughout his career, James has always been at the forefront of innovation. His distinctive skillset and passion for the smartphone sector has played a key role in his development as an inspiring leader.

Since joining Samsung in 2017 as Sales Director for the company’s mobile division in the UK and Ireland, James has built and led a hugely successful team and delivered significant business development across the mobile, tablet, wearable, audio and memory segments of the business. Under his leadership, Samsung UK & Ireland has delivered some of the most successful launches to date, including the release of Galaxy S10, Note10 and the Galaxy Watch, making Samsung the fastest growing UK watch brand.

James Kitto’s commercial expertise, ambition and proven ability to lead teams through fast-paced transformation will be instrumental in his new role as UK & Ireland Vice-President of Sales. James will be responsible for continuing Samsung’s strategy in 5G leadership, as well as driving customer loyalty and Samsung’s ecosystem proposition.
