LONDON, UK – 24 November, 2021 – Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. The incredibly talented photographer Julia Kulik used the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone to shoot behind-the-scenes shots as action unfolded at GQ’s Men of the Year event in Los Angeles on November 18, which featured some of the biggest names in the music and entertainment industry. This follows Samsung’s partnership with the magazine that saw Pari Dukovic shoot Lil Nas X’s iconic cover for the Men of the Year issue with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

“At Samsung, we’re always looking for ways to help people to capture memories they want to cherish forever, as well as giving them the freedom to unleash their creativity,” says Stephanie Choi, SVP & Head of Marketing of the Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics, “We were thrilled to partner with GQ to shoot one of this year’s iconic Men of the Year covers using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, to show everyone that they too can capture stunning, magazine-worthy photos.”

“The atmosphere and environment of the GQ Men of the Year party is always full of glamourous moments, an a-list crowd, and beautiful details,” said photographer Ruslan Pelykh. “The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G allows us to work in low light conditions thanks to its extremely fast and easy flash mode.”

“You can also get wide, dynamic photos and close-up detailed shots. And the interface allows you to quickly switch from photo to unique “pro video mode” which gives endless options for shooting anything you want, while maintaining maximum quality and beautiful colours, despite extreme shooting conditions,” said videographer Julia Kulik.
