Samsung Odyssey Ark Gaming Screen Simulator and Gaming Hub Demos Feature in Selfridges London Where Shoppers Can Enjoy a Truly Immersive Gaming Experience

LONDON, UK – 16th December 2022 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. have collaborated with iconic department store Selfridges to offer shoppers in the capital an exclusive and exciting opportunity to experience first hand Samsung’s new Odyssey Ark gaming screen and Gaming Hub platform this festive season.

Launching today, the Odyssey Ark Gaming Simulator will be located in the menswear section of the department store in the Designer Street Room on the first floor where both shoppers and gamers alike will be able to test their racing skills on the bespoke simulator. With three Odyssey Arks attached together, users will be able enjoy a completely immersive experience in front of multiple of the world’s first 55-inch 4K 1000R curved gaming screens.

The Odyssey Ark delivers a cinematic and immersive experience to gamers with top-class performance. The screen wraps around the player’s field of view, filling their peripheral vision, whilst the Cockpit Mode enables the screen to rotate with HAS (Height Adjustable Stand), tilt and pivot functionality for the ultimate screen environment.

Equipped with Samsung’s Quantum Matrix Technology, Quantum Mini LEDs enable ultra-fine and precise control of the densely packed LEDs. Gamers can also see both dark and bright scenes for ultra-realistic graphics with the newly added 14-bit processing, a sophisticated lighting control technology.

In addition to this, those visiting the department store this winter will also have the opportunity to experience the future of cloud gaming through and check out the Gaming Hub retail display which will be located in the Tech department on the lower ground floor of Selfridges.

Open from 19^th December 2022 until 31^st January 2023, shoppers will get the chance to explore a new way to game and play some of the biggest Xbox Game Pass titles such as Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite and Flight Simulator, along with select new releases when they launch day one in the service. The hotly anticipated retail display will feature three gaming stands, the incredible Odyssey Ark gaming screen, and two of Samsung’s latest premium TVs – 55” Neo QLED 8K and 55” Neo QLED 4K.

With thousands of games at your fingertips from partners such as Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Utomik, and no PC or console required, users can jump into a world of unlimited possibilities with Samsung Gaming Hub^[1]. Whether you’re in the midst of firefights on the battlefield, taking on hairpin turns on the track, or exploring a fantasy world, users can stream and game instantly.
