Solve for Tomorrow in the UK recognised for providing accessible educational opportunities to young people across the UK

LONDON, UK – 20th October, 2022 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd win Bronze at the Corporate Engagement Awards in the Best Educational Programme category, with their Solve for Tomorrow programme. The award was won in partnership with We Are Futures, B+A London, Exposure London, Future Learn, and Digital Catapult, who all contributed to the success of the 2021 programme.

The Corporate Engagement Awards recognise companies that are striving to demonstrate the good in business, with the Best Educational Programme category celebrating winning partnerships and CSR programmes that demonstrate excellence in providing educational support. When speaking about the Solve for Tomorrow programme, one judge commented that “it is a powerful initiative and clearly resonates Samsung’s commitment to improving the lives of young people”.

Samsung Solve for Tomorrow encourages young minds to unpick and take action against challenges faced by society, by harnessing technology.

The programme addresses disrupted education and the widening digital divide impacting young people’s learning, and enables young people from all backgrounds to get creative and explore alternative methods of learning. Over 17,000 young people directly engaged with the programme in 2021, in the form of a competition with additional year-round workshops and online courses open to all.

Participants build confidence, capabilities and connections and are asked to develop innovative solutions to real-life issues affecting their own community within one or more of the following themes: Education, Sustainability, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Social Isolation.
