Samsung Electronics Co. (UK) Ltd and online safety partner Internet Matters, welcomed students and their parents from Frank Barnes School for Deaf children, to join a free online safety workshop at Samsung KX. The workshop’s core focus this year was on AI, educating the students and their families on how to use AI safely and responsibly, and showcasing how AI can help them in their daily lives.

To mark Safer Internet Day on 10th February, a global awareness day which Samsung has supported since 2017, families from Frank Barnes School joined Samsung and Internet Matters for an immersive learning experience where they got to see tech and AI in action, whilst learning how to take a human-centred approach to using AI.

Jessie Soohyun Park, Head of Corporate Responsibility at Samsung UK, said: “It was great to welcome families from Frank Barnes School to Samsung KX. This year’s Safer Internet Day theme – smart tech, safe choices – feels particularly relevant as AI increasingly becomes a part of how children learn, create and explore the digital world. We’re committed to continuing our collaborative work to help parents, guardians and educators have informed, practical conversations with young people about navigating AI safely and responsibly.”

Dani Sive, Headteacher at Frank Barnes School, commented on the workshop day: “The children, staff and families had such a fantastic morning at Samsung KX engaging in an informative presentation on AI and online safety, and a tour where they learnt more about AI, Samsung’s smart technology and devices. Thank you to the Samsung KX and Internet Matters team for having us and for organising such an engaging, educational and fun workshop for the children and their families, which clearly had a positive impact on their understanding of AI including the benefits and risks of using it safely. We look forward to further collaboration in the future.”

Rachel Huggins, CEO at Internet Matters also stated: “It was a pleasure to support Samsung’s AI workshop with students from Frank Barnes School and their parents this Safer Internet Day. AI brings many opportunities and benefits, however as children and young people increase their use of AI for schoolwork, advice and companionship, supporting the safe use of AI tools is vital. Internet Matters, with the support of our partners like Samsung, offers parents and carers a wide range of resources, across AI and other topics, to support them to help keep their children safe online.”

London, UK – Jan. 21, 2026 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. returns today to BETT 2026, the world’s largest education exhibition, taking place from 21-23 January at ExCeL London, where it will showcase its vision of connected learning for every mind and demonstrate how technology can support both teachers and students across a wide range of learning and classroom needs.

Ben Yoon, President, Samsung UK & Ireland, says, “Connected learning for every mind is about showing how technology can adopt to a wide range of learning needs and classroom environments. We believe in helping teachers set students up for success at different stages of their lives and Samsung’s vision is to work closely with schools across the UK to solve classroom challenges with practical, scalable solutions. Through our innovation & AI enabled devices, we can empower partners & educators to provide inclusive learning experiences to unlock every student’s potential. Alongside programmes like Solve for Tomorrow, we are empowering young people to develop future-ready skills and use technology to solve real-world problems.”

With more than 35,000 education professionals and over 600 companies expected to attend, Samsung’s presence at BETT 2026 reinforces its commitment to the UK education sector and its role as a trusted partner in delivering connected, future-ready learning solutions.

Corporate Vice President – Mobile Division, Samsung UK & Ireland, Richard Chang, says, “Today’s classrooms thrive when teachers are empowered to collaborate deeply and create engaging, flexible learning environments. At BETT, we’re showcasing how our connected ecosystem can support those environments in practice. The Galaxy Book6 Series, our tablets and Galaxy XR make up a part of an intelligent ecosystem designed to simplify lessons and collaboration across the classroom.

“By integrating AI-enabled devices and immersive technologies, educators spend less time managing technology and more time teaching, while students benefit from more inclusive ways to learn. It’s a clear demonstration of how connected, versatile solutions can work intelligently to transform teaching and learning.”

Connected Learning For Every Mind

At BETT 2026, Samsung will demonstrate how its education ecosystem is designed to support learners and educators at every stage, from primary and secondary through to further and higher education.

Samsung’s versatile, AI-enabled devices are built to support different learning styles, abilities and teaching approaches, helping create more inclusive classrooms where technology adapts to people, not the other way around. By connecting devices to a wider ecosystem, Samsung enables smarter, more collaborative ways to learn without adding complexity for educators.

Devices That Work Better Together

At the centre of the stand is a mock classroom, where visitors can take part in short live demonstrations and enjoy scheduled speaker sessions throughout the day, featuring Samsung education specialists and industry speakers.

These sessions show how Samsung’s connected education ecosystem works in real classroom settings, focusing on practical teaching and learning scenarios rather than standalone technology demos.

Through hands-on experiences, visitors can explore Samsung’s education offering across three key areas:

Mobile & Computing: Tablets, laptops and education-ready devices, including the new Galaxy Book6 Series, designed to support lesson planning, content creation, collaboration and hybrid learning.

Display Solutions: Interactive whiteboards and large-format LED displays for collaborative learning spaces, including the latest WEFX and Flip WMFX, featuring AI-enabled tools such as Circle to Search and AI Classroom Assistant to support smarter classroom management.

Supporting Learning Beyond The Classroom

Alongside classroom technology, Samsung will showcase its Solve for Tomorrow programme, a year-round initiative that supports young people in developing future skills and exploring how technology can help address real-world challenges. Open to all students, the programme reflects Samsung’s ongoing commitment to empowering the next generation beyond the classroom.

Samsung’s Commitment To Education

Samsung’s presence at Bett 2026 highlights its long-term commitment to education, supporting educators, learners and institutions beyond individual products.

Working closely with schools and education bodies, Samsung develops practical, scalable and inclusive technologies that address real classroom needs, build digital skills and improve accessibility. Its intuitive, secure and easy-to-manage solutions reduce complexity for educators, helping create connected learning environments where teachers and students can thrive.

Visitors can experience connected learning for every mind by visiting Samsung on Stand NF20 at Bett.[1]

Samsung is unveiling a landmark digital experience in Piccadilly Circus that transforms the live moods of London into a responsive visual spectacle. Developed with integrated digital marketing and advertising agency Cheil UK, with media support from Landsec and Ocean Outdoor, the campaign aims to create mass awareness of Samsung’s leadership in AI-powered consumer technology.

The activation uses real-time environmental and behavioural data to turn the natural energy of Piccadilly Circus into dynamic, mood-based creative. The result is a living digital canvas that mirrors the changing rhythm of the city and reflects Samsung’s belief that technology should adapt to meet people’s desires.

As consumers seek healthier, more active and more balanced lifestyles, their needs and motivations shift each day. Samsung’s AI-enabled ecosystem is designed to support those moments, helping to make people’s everyday lives better and smarter.

A custom-built Mood Calculator captures and processes live data to generate a “Mood Score” for Piccadilly Circus, which determines which of six creative ‘mood’ states appears across the Piccadilly Lights. On launch day (17 December 2025), a large-scale lighting takeover will synchronise the surrounding architecture with the screen content mood colour. For the following six days, the responsive screen creative will continue to inspire visitors. Each mood state links directly to Samsung’s AI-enabled products and connected ecosystem, showing how AI already powers everyday life across home, health, entertainment and productivity.

To capture the city’s rhythm, the system processes anonymised crowd density and movement patterns, local weather conditions and time-of-day signals through an on-site data engine. The Piccadilly Lights then delivers full-motion displays of the relevant creative in real time, supported by fallback and manual override options to ensure brand-safe delivery.

The campaign has been developed with a strict privacy-first approach. All visual data is processed securely on-site, with no facial recognition, no personal identifiers and no recording or storage of imagery, and only anonymised numerical data is used to trigger creative outputs.

By turning a public location like Piccadilly Circus into a responsive digital installation, Samsung shows how AI-enabled technology can adapt to real life.

Donna Buckingham, Head of Account Management, Cheil UK, said: “Turning the live mood of London into real-time creative on the most iconic screen in Europe is a rare creative feat. This work shows Samsung’s belief that technology should adapt to people, brought to life through data, AI and pure craft.”

Amy Campbell, Director of Corporate Marketing, Samsung Electronics UK, added: “London never feels the same from one day to the next, and neither do we. Some days we’re full of energy, others we need a bit of help to keep life moving. This experience captures that feeling in a relatable way and shows how Samsung’s AI-enabled ecosystem can support people in those everyday moments. It’s technology that understands the ebb and flow of real life.”

Britain is fast becoming a nation of oven-owners who don’t know how to use them, as new research by Samsung reveals a dramatic collapse in everyday cooking

Britain is fast becoming a nation of oven-owners who don’t know how to use them, as new research by Samsung reveals a dramatic collapse in everyday cooking skills, especially among younger adults.

Nearly half (47%) of 18-to-24-year-olds say they can only cook one or two meals from memory, while one in five Brits (22%) admit they can manage just two dishes or fewer without relying on a recipe. Alarmingly, 6% say they cannot cook a single meal without step-by-step instructions.

The findings point to a wider erosion of basic cooking know-how across the UK. Just over six in 10 feel confident boiling an egg (61%) or baking a jacket potato (63%), suggesting that even simple skills that older generations can easily navigate, are no longer guaranteed.

Yet this is not a nation that has given up on cooking altogether. In fact, 86% of Brits still see cooking from scratch as an essential life skill highlighting a clear disconnect between aspiration and ability. This nods to the increasing importance of reducing processed foods within every day diets.

“It seems that a lack of confidence and practical guidance are hampering people’s abilities to achieve success in the kitchen,” says Sebastian Goff, Brand Marketing Lead for home appliances at Samsung UK. “For many younger Brits, the growing confidence gap around preparing meals from scratch is increasingly becoming a source of stress rather than enjoyment. A worrying shift for something so central to everyday life.”

Almost two in five (39%) say preparing meals from raw ingredients feels like “too much hassle”, while 38% find cooking so stressful that they actively avoid it. The knock-on effect extends beyond the kitchen, with 17% admitting they shy away from cooking for others because they don’t feel capable enough.

Sebastian adds: “The challenge isn’t limited to what people cook but how they use the kitchen in general. Only half (50%) of Brits say they feel confident using the full range of functions on their oven, so many are missing out on features specifically designed to make cooking easier.

“This is where technology has the potential to close the growing generational cooking skills gap. Smart appliances such as our Samsung ovens can guide users, reduce guesswork and even set the correct temperature according to the dish. It can help turn everyday cooking back into a positive experience so you can enjoy healthy, home cooked meals.”

Helping rebuild cooking confidence at home

To help close the cooking confidence gap, Samsung shares three simple ways technology can support people in the kitchen.

Start small:
Kitchen confidence grows through repetition. Mastering a few everyday dishes using reliable settings dedicated to simple dishes helps turn cooking into a habit. Consistent results build confidence and make it easier to take on bigger cooking challenges over time.

Take the pressure out of perfection:
Cooking doesn’t need to be flawless to be successful. There are plenty of recipe videos, apps and appliance settings that can offer support and help people feel more relaxed in the kitchen. If it doesn’t work first time that’s ok! This makes cooking less stressful and far more enjoyable.

Let your kitchen do the thinking:
Some modern ovens, cooktops and fridges are designed to take the guesswork out of meal planning and cooking. Features like automatic programmes, temperature sensors, burn detection and guided cooking modes take the uncertainty out of timings and settings. For example, AI Pro Cooking[1] features in some Samsung ovens uses AI to suggest optimal cooking settings and can even alert you on your phone if your food is about to burn.

[1] Requires SmartThings App available on Android and iOS devices. An internet connection is required.

Jamie Laing drops new spoken word track, Morning People, urging the UK to ditch the snooze button and take charge of their day

Named “Morning People”, the track blends Jamie’s signature wit with practical health & wellness tips

New research reveals 68% say poor sleep affects their daily lives

Commissioned by Samsung Health, the campaign calls on the nation to seize the day and achieve their wellness goals with the help of AI-powered wearable tech including the Samsung Galaxy Watch Series & Galaxy Ring

Samsung have announced new features to help consumers set up habits to improve sleep, heart health, fitness and nutrition as part of the upcoming One UI 8 Watch, which will be available on the newest Galaxy Watch Series

Jamie Laing is urging the nation to hit snooze on snoozing via a surprise music collab aimed at energising mornings and championing wellness.

The Podcast Host, Ultramarathon Runner, and Reality TV Star has turned Motivational Speaker for the spoken word anthem which aims to transform Britain’s bleary-eyed mornings into turbocharged triumphs.

Titled “Morning People”, the track showcases a bold, synth driven battle cry for better mornings, smarter sleep, and data-driven days — complete with an inspirational animated lyric video.

Drenched in dopamine-bright visuals, the video follows an animated Jamie leaping into action with the help of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra & Galaxy Ring — from guided breathing to movement nudges and mindfulness moments. It’s wellness with a beat drop.

The new campaign encourages consumers to become more morning people, with AI-powered sleep tracking, personalised training plans and Energy Score – a daily measurement of your physical and mental energy and readiness. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Series & Galaxy Ring deliver actionable insights so users can stay on track and keep motivation high [1].

From “Check in with your breath, your mood, your mind” to “Use your feet / Find your rhythm ”, Jamie delivers genuine advice with warmth and charisma — all designed to help a sleep-deprived nation build better habits and wake up feeling ready to ditch the snooze button and “carpe the heck outta that diem”.

“If you can beat the morning, you can win the day” says Jamie. “That’s why I love what Samsung Health is doing — helping people understand the body and the mind, and how tech can empower you to live your best day.”

The track follows Jamie’s headline-making 150-mile ultramarathon — a feat that earned him the title of the UK’s official Morning Motivator. And now he’s using his platform to help others start their day right, with a focus on rest, recovery, and routine.

It comes following research that the average Brits only sleeps for 6 hours, with four in 10 admitting that it is stopping them from reaching their full potential.

Ever-changing temperatures (35%), overthinking past decisions (32%), and pain or discomfort (28%) topped the list as issues stopping Brits from getting their 40 winks.

It also emerged that 59% of the nation don’t class themselves as morning people as research shows nearly a third (30%) of Brits hit snooze on a weekday morning twice or more.

Half the nation revealed they feel grumpy (50%) and stressed (34%) in mornings following a rough sleep and over three-quarters (78%) believe their mental wellbeing would improve if they managed to sleep consistently well.

A third of Brits will cancel their plans following a bad night’s sleep (32%) and 33 per cent blame a lack of sleep for snapping at someone, craving junk food (23%) or making an error at work (21%).

Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product & Marketing, Samsung UK&I, said:

“Sleep is the foundation to our approach to health, as it influences physical and mental wellbeing, yet our research reveals that many of us aren’t getting enough. That’s why we are taking action, providing innovative tools to help people understand and improve their sleep. By offering insights, coaching, and inspiration like the Morning People track, we are empowering better starts and helping the nation seize the day.”

The study commissioned by Samsung Health, ushers in a new era of wellness powered by AI. The wearable technology including the Galaxy Watch Series & Galaxy Ring paired with Samsung Health, is designed to optimise wellness and recovery, helping users seize the day and reach their goals from the moment they wake up.

Samsung Health’s newly announced features[2] include Bedtime Guidance[3], to help you optimise your sleep; Vascular Load[4], which measures stress on your vascular system while sleeping; Running Coach[5], to help strategize your training; and Antioxidant Index[6], to measure your carotenoids for healthy aging.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced its latest Smart Monitor lineup, featuring the flagship Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model) alongside the updated Smart Monitor M8 (M80F model) and M7 (M70F model). With the introduction of QD-OLED technology to the M9 and advanced AI features across the lineup, the new offerings provide a more personalised and connected screen for work and entertainment.

“The Smart Monitor series continues to evolve based on how people work, watch and play,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “With the introduction of QD-OLED and AI-powered enhancements, the M9 delivers a more responsive and refined screen experience — all within a single, versatile display.”

Smart Monitor M9: OLED Picture, Intelligent Performance

The Smart Monitor M9 introduces QD-OLED technology to the Smart Monitor lineup for the first time. Its 32-inch 4K QD-OLED panel delivers deep contrast and vibrant colour, offering a more immersive visual experience across productivity, streaming and gaming. Samsung OLED Safeguard+ helps maintain screen integrity over time with a proprietary cooling system designed to reduce the risk of burn-in. The M9 also features a Glare-Free display to minimise reflections and ensure consistent visibility and comfort — even in bright lighting conditions.

The M9 is powered by AI Picture Optimiser, 4K AI Upscaling Pro and Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) Pro, which work together to enhance picture and sound quality in real time based on content and surroundings. Whether users are watching, creating or multitasking, the display adapts automatically to deliver optimised performance.

The M9 also serves as a smart entertainment hub with access to popular streaming apps, Samsung TV Plus and Samsung Gaming Hub — which enables cloud-based gaming without a connected console or PC. With a 165Hz refresh rate, a 0.03ms response time and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, the M9 supports smooth, fast-moving visuals ideal for high-performance use.

The M9 also features a slim metal design that blends premium aesthetics with functional form, creating a modern look that complements any workspace.

Recognising its precise and reliable colour performance, the Smart Monitor M9 has achieved Pantone Validated certification. This certification assures users that the M9 has passed the rigorous standards of testing and can replicate over 2,100 colours and more than 110 SkinTone shades from Pantone’s library. Paired with its brilliant QD-OLED display, the monitor ensures visuals appear just as content creators intended, providing confidence and clarity for any application.

Smart Monitor M8 and M7: Versatile Displays With AI Functionality and Enhanced Connectivity

The new Smart Monitor M8 and Smart Monitor M7 extend Samsung’s smart monitor experience to a broader audience, offering 32-inch 4K UHD screens with vibrant picture quality and built-in AI features. Equipped with Samsung’s advanced VA panel technology, both models deliver sharp detail and rich contrast, making them ideal for everyday productivity, streaming and much more.

Both displays support AI-powered discovery tools, including Click to Search.[1] These features help users explore content, retrieve information, and engage with their screen more intuitively, while Tizen OS Home personalises recommendations and makes it easier to access frequently used services and inputs.

Designed for flexibility, all three models integrate with SmartThings, support Multi Control between Samsung devices and offer Multi View for side-by-side working or entertainment. With Microsoft 365 access, users can create and edit documents directly from the monitor without a PC, making the lineup a practical solution for modern work setups.

As smart technology and AI become increasingly integrated into our daily lives, new research finds that nearly 9 out of 10 Brits (89%) express concerns about their privacy.

But, for the majority of consumers, these concerns stop at their phones – despite other smart devices in the home also collecting personal data and being just as vulnerable to threats.

This new research from Samsung Electronics, which surveyed over 8,000 Millennial and Gen Z respondents across Europe, including the UK, reveals that over a quarter (28%) of young Brits never think about the security of their smart appliances. In contrast, 1 in 2 (53%) think about the privacy of their mobile phones every day – a worrying blind spot given how connected our smart devices have become, and with the number of smart homes in Europe expected to surpass 100 million by 2028.[1]

The research highlights how managing privacy can feel overwhelming for many – with over 1 in 10 (14%) of those surveyed saying it’s too complex, and 7 in 10 (70%) finding it stressful. Within Europe, Spain tops the list of countries where people find managing their privacy the most stressful (88%), followed by Greece (87%) and France (75%) and Italy (75%).

Privacy concerns among Brits are wide-ranging – from fears of financial theft (73%) to unease about metadata being used to identify them (61%).

The findings point to a deep education gap when it comes to privacy. Many want to take control of their data when it comes to their technology. In fact, almost 8 in 10 (78%) put such considerations front and centre at point of purchase, alongside their familiarity with the brand. Yet despite rising awareness, many still feel unequipped to take meaningful action:

Only 22% say they feel ‘very’ knowledgeable about privacy

Just over half (54%) are aware of the data their apps and devices collect about them

3 in 10 (28%) accept default settings on apps without fully understanding them

Almost 6 in 10 (57%) feel they can never be fully in control of their privacy across their devices

7 in 10 (70%) are calling for better education on data and privacy

Over 1 in 10 (14%) consumers say they trust brands to take the protection of their data seriously

These fears are holding UK consumers back from harnessing the full potential of the latest technology. 1 in 5 (18%) haven’t shared data between smart devices in the past year due to security fears—showing that Brits aren’t taking full advantage of connected living, and the enhanced lifestyle benefits it can bring.

Yet two thirds say they would be more open to fully embracing AI and smart-home technology if they better understood the benefits to their lifestyle (67%) and felt confident their data was secure (67%). From real-time smart home updates (15%) to personalised shopping discounts (15%), job opportunities (14%) and tailored fitness and health suggestions (14%), many recognise that they are missing out on everyday enhancements due to concerns around how their data is handled.

In light of these findings, Samsung is reinforcing its commitment to empowering users with strong safeguards and transparent privacy controls in an increasingly AI-driven world.

Dr. Seungwon Shin, Corporate EVP & Head of Security Team, Device eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics said: “At Samsung, we believe true innovation starts with people – which is why we put privacy at the core of everything we do. This research highlights a growing trend: while consumers are proactive about managing privacy on their smartphones, they’re often overlooking the broader ecosystem of connected devices. It also reflects a hesitation to fully embrace AI-powered experiences, largely driven by uncertainty around data use.

As advocates for privacy-first design, we’re committed to earning trust through transparency, choice, and built-in protections. Everyone should be able to explore new AI capabilities with confidence, knowing their data is protected and they remain in control. That’s why we’re focused on putting privacy in the hands of users – where it belongs.”

At the heart of this mission is Samsung Knox, the company’s government-grade security platform that safeguards its smart home appliances[2] and Galaxy devices. With the rise of connected living, Samsung is expanding Knox security across its ecosystem so users can enjoy smart appliances and AI-powered features with peace of mind[3]

Knox Matrix is Samsung’s long-term vision for connected security—where devices in the same ecosystem work together to safeguard one another. Built on private blockchain technology and backed by future-ready protections like post-quantum cryptography[4], Knox Matrix enables real-time, multi-device protection across smartphones, tablets, TVs, and more.

Complementing this is Knox Vault, which stores sensitive information like PINs, passwords and biometric data in a separate, hardware-based environment. This ensures that even if the main operating system is compromised, private information always stays protected.

With this layered security in place, users are empowered to manage their privacy across all their connected devices, making choices entirely on their own terms.

The research also shows that UK consumers want more than just promises—they’re seeking practical tools. 28% support clearer data usage policies, and almost the same amount value privacy information that’s simple and easy to understand (29%).

Recognising this need, Samsung is expanding its efforts to educate users and equip them with tools that put privacy into their hands across all Samsung devices.
