Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today unveiled a new short film, created to celebrate the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, showing how technology can transform how people experience and capture everyday life, turning ordinary moments into meaningful memories.

Titled ‘Life’s Little Moments’, the film follows an expectant father on his journey to the hospital, as he records an emotional voice note to his dad on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, capturing the feeling of the moment as he imagines the life waiting ahead, from childhood discoveries and first days at school to teenage arguments and the move into a first home.

Designed as a celebration of family, experiences and connection, the film captures the small, everyday moments that shape a father-child relationship over time.

To accompany the film, a poll of 2,000 Brits commissioned by Samsung reveals that more than four in five (85%) say their strongest childhood memories were created during small, unplanned moments rather than major occasions.

Technology is changing how people preserve and appreciate those memories, with almost eight in 10 (76%) agreeing that taking photos and videos helps them appreciate simple experiences more, while 81% believe it helps them feel closer to the people who matter most.

To highlight this, as the narrative progresses and the daughter heads to school, a tender scene plays out capturing one of the most memorable moments of a child growing up: a parent taking a proud photograph on her last day of primary school.

More than a quarter (28%) admit they often look back at childhood photos or videos, sparking feelings of nostalgia (48%), happiness (39%), connection (33%) and comfort (29%).

With over a third of Brits citing family meals as their fondest childhood memory, the film also features a key scene between father and daughter — cooking dinner together and using the brand-new form factor of the Galaxy Z Fold8 and its expansive foldable display to follow a cooking tutorial video.
