Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z Series becomes its most awarded foldable series yet, while Galaxy Z Fold8 receives record recognition from leading UK technology reviewers ahead of its official on-sale date

Ahead of Galaxy Z Fold8 officially going on sale in the UK on Friday 7 August, Samsung’s latest foldable generation is already receiving widespread recognition from leading technology publications and consumers alike.

The Galaxy Z Series has become Samsung’s most awarded foldable series yet[1], with Galaxy Z Fold8 receiving the highest number of five-star reviews for a Galaxy foldable to date[2]. The recognition comes alongside strong consumer demand, with UK pre-orders for the new Galaxy Z Series increasing by 21% year on year. Already, pre-orders have surpassed those of any previous Galaxy foldable generation, with Galaxy Z Fold8 accounting for almost 40% of total pre-orders.

Among the strongest endorsements came from UK technology publication T3[3], which awarded Galaxy Z Fold8 its prestigious 5-Star Platinum Award and said the device “represents the future of foldables”. The publication praised Samsung’s latest innovation as “a landmark step towards folding phones’ wider acceptance”, adding that the new form factor “transforms the foldable experience for the better and sets a new bar.”

The positive reception has been echoed across the UK technology media landscape, with reviewers recognising Galaxy Z Fold8’s refined design, versatile display experience and performance. Stuff[4] described Galaxy Z Fold8 as “arguably the most exciting new Samsung device in years”, praising its redesigned form factor and noting that using the device had convinced the reviewer that “wide foldables are the future”.

As Galaxy Z Fold8 arrives in stores across the UK this Friday, one thing is already clear. From five-star reviews to record recognition across the Galaxy Z Series, Samsung’s latest foldable is helping define the next generation of smartphones – showing that the future of foldables is truly here.

It is also now easier than ever for non-Samsung users to switch to Galaxy. From your favourite apps to years of group chats and photos, Smart Switch[5] moves it all over smoothly to Galaxy, no cables or additional apps needed.
