Inside Samsung’s Teacher Academy: Empowering Educators to Reimagine Digital Storytelling and AI Learning

1/23/2026

The future of learning is here—and Samsung Electronics America is helping teachers lead it. As AI, machine learning and other emerging technologies transform the future of education, Samsung, in partnership with Adobe, gathered 50 educators from across the country for its Teacher Academy, an immersive experience designed to ignite AI-powered learning in classrooms nationwide.

This experiential workshop comes at a critical moment, as classrooms across the country seek greater access to emerging technology and meaningful training that will shape work and livelihoods. New Samsung research highlights a gap: more than half of teachers (53%) say they’ve had no formal training on using AI in the classroom—a number that jumps to 64% in under-resourced schools—despite 88% believing AI will play a key role in their students’ futures.

“Teachers play a critical role in helping students transform ideas into action,” said Allison Stransky, Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung Electronics America. “By investing in professional development that blends creativity, technology, and storytelling, Samsung’s Teacher Academy helps educators feel confident bringing these tools into the classroom — and empowering students to use them.”

The 1.5-day Teacher Academy workshop brought together Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Semi-Finalist teachers for a hands-on training focused on utilizing video storytelling, creative technology, and classroom-ready AI innovations.

The session empowered educators to take the lead in inspiring the next generation of innovators. Focused on guiding students through Samsung Solve for Tomorrow—a STEM competition for public school students in grades 6–12—the Academy equips teachers with hands-on skills to help students transform their STEM-based prototypes into compelling stories. By turning complex ideas into engaging narratives, educators fuel innovation, spark collaboration, and prepare students to tackle real-world challenges with confidence and creativity.

One teacher shared, “I am blown away by Samsung for presenting us this opportunity. It is corporate citizenship at its best.”

Another reflected, “Love the Adobe and Samsung spaces… I have things that I can immediately take home and use with students and share with my department! Our facilitators are first rate!!”

A National Winner from last year’s competition added, “I’ve never before been in a room full of adults who care this much about kids. That’s what’s really special about SFT – it brings together teachers who consistently go above and beyond to make sure their students succeed.”

During the workshop, teachers dove into hands-on, interactive sessions, exploring video creation, narrative development, and even applying the “Hero’s Journey” to their Solve for Tomorrow projects. They experimented with some of the most groundbreaking tech of 2025, including Adobe’s TIME 2025 Best Invention –  Enhance Speech – an AI tool that sharpens speech in noisy spaces, and picked up prompt engineering techniques to build bots for workflow automation—practical strategies they could take straight back into their classrooms.

The workshop also gave educators the opportunity to connect with peers from around the country, share best practices, and exchange ideas about how technology can support learning in diverse classroom environments.

Teacher Academy is part of Samsung’s bigger mission to support education and prepare students for the future workforce. Samsung’s 2025 State of STEM Education survey found that 59% of educators see professional development, updated curriculum resources, collaboration with tech professionals, or better technology as essential.

Through programs like Solve for Tomorrow, Samsung has reached millions of teachers and students nationwide. In the U.S., the program has awarded $29 million in technology and classroom resources to more than 6,000 schools. By supporting educators directly, Teacher Academy ensures these opportunities don’t stop at a single competition—they give teachers the tools, strategies, and inspiration to bring STEM, storytelling, and AI into classrooms every day, shaping the innovators of tomorrow.
