What direction should forward-thinking companies take in preparing for a future dominated by Gen Z, both as businesses and employers? In her latest Fast Company opinion article, Samsung Electronics America’s Head of Corporate Citizenship Ann Woo shares insights gleaned from leading Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow STEM competition about Gen Z and their career aspirations.

Importantly, business leaders need to ask the right questions, and then “listen, listen, listen!” For Ann, that means listening intently – listening to learn, not merely to hear what’s said. According to Ann, companies need to embrace Gen Z’s entrepreneurial spirit in combination with their focus on creating positive change. Also, feed Gen Z’s appetite for professional development, address their concerns about AI, and provide flexibility to improve work-life balance, among other considerations.
