RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ –– June 12, 2017 – Samsung Electronics America, Inc. announced today that unlocked versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are now available for enterprise buyers through resellers CDW, Insight, Connection, SHI, PCM and Zones and distributors Ingram Micro, Synnex, Tech Data, Vertex Wireless, as well as for individual purchase through retailers Amazon, Best Buy, Ebay and Target.com. The devices work on most U.S. and international networks, empowering users with freedom to standardize and customize based on organizational needs and providing an optimal user experience with fewer pre-loaded applications.

The unlocked versions of the smartphones offer the same cutting-edge innovation as Galaxy S8 and S8+ launched in late April. Featuring an always-on Infinity Display with near bezel-less design, the phones also boast smarter performance with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Galaxy S8 and S8+ are built upon the Galaxy foundation of IP68 water and dust resistance1, MicroSD2 support up to 256GB, and fast3 and wireless charging.

A Complete Solution

Unlocked by Samsung devices not only enable the freedom to choose the right contract-free device for longer term business and individual needs, they also allow access to preferred networks and plans at any moment—whether local or abroad. Samsung devices can seamlessly integrate into an existing IT infrastructure, through Samsung’s provisioning, implementation, training and deployment, and ongoing support.

Samsung partners with top EMM providers to enable seamless compatibility with most EMM, SSO and VPN solutions. Samsung Knox4 Mobile Enrollment enables easy bulk configurations, while Knox Custom Configurator allows for customization of the user experience for specific employees.

Enterprise-ready, Defense-Grade Security

Samsung Knox4 is built into Galaxy S8 and S8+ with five-layer authentication, protecting critical business data while allowing private access to personal data. Samsung Knox is also certified by 29 government organizations, and Samsung Knox 2.6 received the most “strong” ratings of any mobile security platform in the Gartner “Mobile Device Security: A Comparison of Platforms” report. Finally, through Samsung’s security update regime, Unlocked by Samsung devices are kept up to date with the latest security patches to keep hackers out and organizational data safe.
