RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J., May 15, 2017 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced changes to its North American executive team. Gregory Lee will continue to serve as President and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America, and Tim Baxter has been appointed to take on the role of President and CEO of Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA).

Mr. Lee, who became President and CEO of Samsung North America in 2013, will continue to focus on the strategic needs of the company and its subsidiaries. Mr. Lee will also spearhead mid-term initiatives to expand the company’s footprint in North America.

In his expanded role, Mr. Baxter, who was named President and COO of SEA in 2015, will oversee all aspects of SEA including sales, marketing and operations across product categories. Over the past decade, Mr. Baxter has been an integral leader of SEA and has managed various lines of business, including mobile and consumer electronics.

“Tim and I have built a strong partnership and we will continue to work collaboratively to ensure we are meeting the highest standards that our loyal customers have come to expect of the Samsung brand.
